In view of the closure, the meat shops will also remain closed on this day. The meat sellers are directed to comply with these orders strictly.Sh. Governor launches “ I’m Chandigarh” mobile app for various services under e-Governance

Chandigarh, April 23:- Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore, Governor, Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh today launched “ I’m Chandigarh” mobile application to facilitate citizens to access various services under the project implementation of e-Governance services in Chandigarh.

The mobile application was launched today from Punjab Raj Bhawan, here today in the presence of Sh. Manoj Parida, IAS, Advisor to Administrator U.T. Chandigarh, Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor, Chandigarh, Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary, Home, Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh-cum-CEO, Chandigarh Smart City Ltd.

While sharing information about the mobile application, Sh. K.K. Yadav said that at present fourteen major services are available on mobile app and more municipal services will be added in coming days. The app will be providing online delivery of services, to minimize physical interaction and movement to Govt. Offices, faster application submission, online payment facility, tracking, monitoring, 24×7 access to services, timely resolution of issues, increased transparency.

He said that the mobile app named as “I’m Chandigarh” has been developed by Chandigarh Smart City Limited and is available for download from Play Store for Android app as well as Apple store for IOS app.

He further said that with the launch of this mobile app, now citizens can register any municipality related complaints and track the status of the same using the mobile application, apply for Licenses & Lease Renewal, Permission to keep pets, Advertisement, Road Cut, NOC for Selling of meat, online booking of water tanker, booking of open space to store building material, request for pruning of trees, removal of overgrown/Green trees and removal of dead/dangerous/dry trees. Other services that are available on mobile app are E-Challan for Encroachment, Property Tax& Services related to Colony Branch.

He said that more municipal services will be added including the services being provided by the UT administration to this mobile app so that “One City One Mobile App” shall be available for citizens to access all online services being provided in the city of Chandigarh.

            उपायुक्त प्रदीप कुमार ने कहा कि सब्जी मंडियों में सुबह के समय रेहड़ी / फड़ी वाले सब्जी व फल खरीदने व बेचने के लिए आते हैं जिस कारण मंडियों में अधिक भीड़ होती है। इससे कोरोना संक्रमण फैलाव की संभावना अधिक रहती है। उन्होंने कहा कि संबंधित एसडीएम तथा मार्केट कमेटी सचिव मंडी प्रधान व व्यापारियों की सहमति से आवश्यकता अनुसार अस्थाई मंडी की व्यवस्था करें। इसके अलावा सब्जी मंडी व अस्थाई मंडियां सुबह पांच बजे से 11 बजे तक थोक / खुदरा, व्यापारी / फड़ी वालों के लिए खुली रहेगी। इस दौरान मंडियों में खुदरा बिक्री तथा मासाखोरों के बैठने व फल-सब्जी बेचने पर पाबंदी रहेगी। स्थाई व अस्थाई मंडियों में मार्केट फीस के लिए कर्मचारी की नियुक्ति की जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि सभी आढ़ती, मजदूर व कर्मचारी मास्क व दस्तानों का प्रयोग करें और बिना मास्क के मंडी में प्रवेश न करने दें। साप्ताहिक अवकाश के दिन सब्जी मंडी व अस्थाई सब्जी मंडियों को सैनिटाइज करवाना भी सुनिश्चित करें। इसके साथ-साथ मार्केट कमेटी की तरफ से रेहड़ी वालों को पहचान पत्र दिया जाए और शहर व सैक्टरों के अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों में जाने के लिए रूट तैयार किया जाए ताकि नागरिकों को फल व सब्जी आसानी से मिल सके।

           उपायुक्त ने कहा कि संबंधित एसडीएम व मार्केट कमेटी सचिव यह भी सुनिश्चित करें कि फल व सब्जी बेचने वाले रेहड़ी वाले मास्क का प्रयोग करते हुए हाथों में दस्ताने जरूर पहनें, यदि कोई रेहड़ी वाला नियमों की पालना न करें तो उसका अनुमति पत्र तुरंत रद्द किया जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि संबंधित एसडीएम व मार्केट कमेटी सचिव फल व सब्जी के निर्धारित रेटों पर निरंतर निगरानी रखें ताकि कोई भी व्यापारी, मासाखोर या रेहड़ी वाला आमजन से अधिक वसूली न कर सके। उन्होंने नागरिकों से आह्वïान किया कि कोरोना संक्रमण के फैलाव के मद्देनजर और अधिक सतर्कता व सावधानी बरतें, बेवजह घरों से बाहर न निकलें और मास्क का सही तरीके से प्रयोग करें। कोरोना से बचाव की मुहिम में नागरिक जिला प्रशासन का सहयोग करें, खुद भी सुरक्षित रहें और दूसरों को भी सुरक्षित रखें।

हिसार मंडल आयुक्त चंद्रशेखर ने कहा कि कोरोना का फैलाव तेजी से हो रहा है और लगातार कोरोना मामलों में बढ़ोतरी हो रही है। ऐसे में सभी अधिकारी व कर्मचारी स्वयं का बचाव करते हुए टीम वर्क की भांति काम करें और संक्रमण के फैलाव को रोकने में अपनी भागीदारी निभाएं। सभी विभागाध्यक्षा 30 अप्रैल से पहले स्वयं व अपने अधीनस्थ अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों को कोरोना वैक्सीन लगवाना सुनिश्चित करें।

आयुक्त चंद्रशेखर शुक्रवार को लघुसचिवालय स्थित सभागार में जिला में कोरोना स्थिति तथा बैड, ऑक्सीजन आदि की उपलब्धता बारे समीक्षा बैठक को संबोधित कर रहे थे। बैठक में उपायुक्त प्रदीप कुमार, पुलिस अधीक्षक भूपेंद्र सिंह, नगर आयुक्त संगीता तेतरवाला, अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त उत्तम सिंह, एसडीएम जयवीर यादव, सीएमजीजीए सुकन्या जर्नादन, सीएमओ डा. कृष्ण कुमार, डिप्टी सीएमओ वीरेश भूषण सहित संबंधित अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।


आयुक्त ने कहा कि कोरोना संक्रमण से बचाव व इसके फैलाव को रोकने के लिए वैक्सीनेशन कार्य में तेजी लाना जरूरी है। इसके साथ ही कोविड-19 नियमों की पालना सख्ती के साथ करवाई जाए। नोडल अधिकारी अपने-अपने क्षेत्र में लगातार निरीक्षण करते हुए मास्क व सोशल डिस्टेसिंग की अनुपालना करवाना सुनिश्चित करें। उन्होंने कहा कि बस स्टैंड, रेलवे स्टेशन, सब्जी मंडी, मार्केट आदि भीड़-भाड़ वाले स्थानों पर विशेष नजर रखते हुए वहां पर मॉस्क व एक-दूसरे उचित दूरी के नियमों की पालना करवाएं, ताकि संक्रमण का फैलाव न हो। संबंधित अधिकारी पुलिस के साथ तालमेल बनाकर निरीक्षण करें, ताकि किसी प्रकार की परेशान न हो।

उन्होंने कहा कि अधिकारी व कर्मचारी कोरोना संक्रमण से अपना बचाव करें, क्योंकि आप लोगों की ड्यूटी विभिन्न कार्यों में रहती है। इसलिए स्वयं का बचाव करते हुए आमजन को संक्रमण से बचाव उपायों की पालना के लिए  प्रेरित करें। उन्होंने निर्देश देते हुए कहा कि 30 अप्रैल से पहले-पहले सभी विभागाध्यक्ष स्वयं वैक्सीन लगवाएं व अपने कार्यालय के सभी अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों को भी वैक्सीन का टीका लगवाएं। कर्मचारियों के वैक्सीन लेने से आमजन भी वैक्सीन के लिए प्रेरित होगा और वह वैक्सीन लगवाने के लिए स्वयं आगे आएंगे। उन्होंने नागरिकों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि वे कोरोना संक्रमण से घबराएं न, बल्कि इससे बचने के लिए मास्क, सेनेटाइज, सोशल डिस्टेसिंग व हाथों को बार-बार धोने आदि उपायों को अपनाएं।


आयुक्त ने कहा कि इस समय मंडियों में रबी फसल की खरीद प्रक्रिया चल रही है। मंडियों में मास्क व सोशल डिस्टेसिंग हो, इसके लिए संबंधित अधिकारी लगातार मंडियों का निरीक्षण करें। उन्होंने कहा कि आढती, पल्लेदार सहित मंडियों में आने वाला हर व्यक्ति मास्क लगाए और एक-दूसरे से उचित दूरी बनाकर रखें। मंडियों में सेनेटाइजर, मास्क आदि बचाव उपायों की व्यवस्था पर्याप्त मात्रा में उपलब्ध रहे। इसके साथ-साथ उन्होंने अधिकारियों को ये भी निर्देश दिए कि गेहूं बिक्री में किसानों को कोई परेशानी न आए, उनके लिए शोचालय, पीने के पानी आदि की व्यवस्था सुचारू रूप से रहे।


उपायुक्त प्रदीप कुमार ने आयुक्त को बताया कि जिला में कोरोना की स्थिति नियंत्रण में है और संक्रमण को फैलने से रोकने के लिए प्रशासन पूरी गंभीरता से प्रयासरत है। उन्होंने कहा कि जो भी दिशा-निर्देश दिए गए हैं, उनकी पालना की जाएगी। उपायुक्त ने बताया कि सिरसा में अब तक एक लाख 72 हजार लोगों को वैक्सीन की डोज लगाई गई है।

उन्होंने सीएमओ को निर्देश दिए कि वैक्सीन कार्य में तेजी लाई जाए और अधिक से अधिक लाभार्थियों को कोरोना वैक्सीन लगाई जाए। उपायुक्त ने सभी विभागाध्यक्षों को भी निर्देश दिए कि वे स्वयं व अपने अधीनस्थ अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों का वैक्सीनेशन करवाना सुनिश्चित करें।

              जिला विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण के तत्वावधान में जिला में आमजन को कोरोना संक्रमण से बचाव के लिए जागरूक करने के उद्देश्य से शहर के विभिन्न स्थानों पर जागरूकता शिविरों का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इन शिविरों में पैनल अधिवक्ताओं व सक्षम युवाओं द्वारा लोगों को कोरोना संक्रमण से बचाव के लिए साथ-साथ विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण द्वारा चलाई जा रही विभिन्न योजनाओं के बारे में भी अवगत करवाया जा रहा है। इन शिविरों का आयोजन जिला एवं सत्र न्यायधीश तथा जिला विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण के अध्यक्ष राजेश मल्होत्रा के आदेशानुसार व मुख्य न्यायिक दंडाधिकारी एवं जिला विधिक सेवाएं प्राधिकरण सचिव अनुराधा के मार्गदर्शन में किया जा रहा है।

            उपायुक्त प्रदीप कुमार के दिशा-निर्देश पर नाइट कफ्र्यू की पालना के लिए सूचना एवं जनसंपर्क विभाग की ओर से आमजन को जागरूक करते हुए कोरोना बचाव उपाय व सावधानी बरतने के लिए प्रेरित किया जा रहा है। प्रचार वाहन द्वारा शहर के विभिन्न स्थानों में लोगों को नाइट कफ्र्यू बारे जानकारी देने के साथ-साथ इसकी दृढता से अनुपालना के लिए जागरूक किया जा रहा है। इसी कड़ी में प्रचार वाहन ने सिरसा में स्थानीय बस स्टैंड, बाटा कॉलोनी, गांव चत्तरगढ़पट्टïी, नेजाडेला, सहारणी, बप्पा, अलिकां, लहंगेवाला, रंगा, नागोकी आदि में पहुंच कर लोगों को कोरोना संक्रमण से बचाव के लिए हिदायतों की पालना का आह्वïान किया।


            विभाग की ओर से प्रचार वाहन के माध्यम से कोरोना संक्रमण से बचने के उपायों मास्क, स्वच्छता व सोशल डिस्टैंसिंग की पालना करने के साथ सेनेटाइजर का इस्तेमाल करने के लिए भी लोगों को जागरूक किया जा रहा है। इसके साथ-साथ कोरोना वैक्सीन लगवाने के लिए भी आमजन को प्रेरित किया जा रहा है, ताकि अधिक से अधिक लोग वैक्सीन लगवाने के लिए आगे आएं और कोरोना संक्रमण के फैलाव पर रोक लग सके।


            उपायुक्त प्रदीप कुमार ने जिलावासियों का आह्वान किया है कि सभी एकजुट होकर कोरोना महामारी के खिलाफ लड़ाई में अपना सहयोग दें, ताकि इस वैश्विक महामारी से बचाव हो सके और इस पर अंकुश भी लग सके। उन्होंने कहा कि कोरोना संक्रमण को फैलने से रोकने के लिए सरकार व प्रशासन की ओर से सभी आवश्यक कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं। नाइट कफ्र्यू भी इन्हीं में से एक है। नाइट कफ्र्यू नियमों की आमजन पूरी ईमानदारी के साथ पालना करते हुए प्रशासन का सहयोग करें। नाइट कफ्र्यू आमजन के हितों को ध्यान में रखते हुए संक्रमण के फैलाव को रोकने के दृष्टिगत लगाया गया है। पहले भी जिलावासियों ने कोरोना संक्रमण फैलाव को रोकने में प्रशासन का पूरा सहयोग किया था और अब भी दोबारा से बढ़ते कोरोना संक्रमण मामलों को रोकने के लिए प्रशासन का साथ दें और जो भी बचाव के दृष्टिगत प्रशासन की ओर से दिशा-निर्देश व हिदायतें जारी की गई हैं, उनकी ईमानदारी से अनुपालन करें।

पंचकूला, 22 अप्रैल- हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल ने आज चंडीगढ़ से वीडियो कांफ्रेेंसिग के माध्यम से राज्य के सभी जिला उपायुक्त,  पुलिस अधीक्षक और नगर निगम आयुक्त के साथ कोविड-19, फसल खरीद तथा जल शक्ति अभियान की समीक्षा के लिये आयोजित बैठक की अध्यक्षता की तथा अधिकारियों को उचित दिशा निर्देश दिये। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य में आॅक्सीजन की कोई कमी नहीं है। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये कि वे सभी जिला अस्पतालों में निर्बाध तरीके से आॅक्सीजन सप्लाई की व्यवस्था करें ताकि किसी भी अस्पताल में आॅक्सीजन की कमी न रहे।
बैठक के उपरांत अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त मोहम्मद इमरान रजा ने बताया कि जिला के अस्पतालों में पर्याप्त मात्रा में आॅक्सीजन की उपलब्धता है तथा लोगों को पैनिक होने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि जिला में कोरोना के मामलों को लेकर स्थिति नियंत्रण में है तथा प्रतिदिन 2000 से 2500 के बीच सैंपलिंग की जा रही है।

अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त ने बताया कि नागरिक अस्पताल सेक्टर-6 में अतिरिक्त  बैड की व्यवस्था की गई है और आवश्यकता पड़ने पर इनकी संख्या को और बढ़ाया जा सकता है। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि जिला में प्राईवेट अस्पतालों को निर्देश जारी किये है कि वे 50 प्रतिशत बैडस सिविल सर्जन पंचकूला व जिला प्रशासन की ओर से रैफर किये गये कोविड मरीजों के लिये आरक्षित रखेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि सभी इंसीडेंट कमांडर्स को अपने-अपने क्षेत्रों में कोविड को लेकर तत्परता से कार्य करने के निर्देश दिये गये है।


मोहम्मद इमरान रजा ने बताया कि जिला में 45 हजार मीट्रिक टन के लक्ष्य की तुलना में अब तक 39 हजार मीट्रिक टन गेहूं की आवक हुई हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि मंडियों में उठान समय पर हो रहा है और 68 प्रतिशत गेहूं का उठान अब तक हो चुका है। इसके अलावा किसानों को समय पर भुगतान किया जा रहा है। किसी भी समस्या से निपटने के लिये मार्केंट कमेटी के सचिवों को उचित दिशा निर्देश दिये गये है।
अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त ने बताया कि जल शक्ति अभियान के तहत जो भी लक्ष्य जिला को दिये जायेंगे उसे समयबद्ध तरीके से पूरा किया जायेगा।

University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development, (UIFT & VD), Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized a webinar titled “Sewing Threads: Technicalities in Selection and Usage on Fashion Products” ,today.

Mr Uday Narayan Bammanwadi, Technical Service Manager with M/s. Guetermann India Private Limited, Gurgaon in his address, talked about the sewing threads – how these are manufactured, what are the types of sewing threads used in the apparel and textile industry and technicalities related to sewing and sewing threads. He differentiated between the spun and core spun sewing threads and elaborated Micro Core Technology (MCT) in thread manufacturing. There are various types of raw material or fibers used in manufacturing of yarn. He also illustrated how PET bottles are recycled to prepare sewing yarn contributing towards sustainable practices.

Puckering is a very common problem encountered during stitching operations on the production floor. He discussed various kinds of Puckering and technical reasons for the problem and showed samples of how correct selection of needle and yarn can lead to no pucker situation. Adjusting feed dog for pucker free situation was also demonstrated. 

Ticket number or yarn thickness and its selection for different fabrics were discussed at length. While stitching, a needle thread is continuously under pressure and has friction with the needle hole and the fabric. Needle temperature is also raised while high speed sewing and lubrication of sewing thread protect it from these extreme temperatures. Lubrication of thread can be during the dyeing stage or it can be done once the thread is manufactured. Mr Uday stressed that dyebath lubrication is better and lend the yarn with such qualities that thread remains intact and can withstand so many pressures and abrasions. 

Earlier, Anu H. Gupta, Chairperson of UIFT & VD welcomed and introduced the key speaker who has more than 26 years of technical experience in the field of Apparel and sewing technology. She said that

correct choice of sewing thread is very important as the selection of needle and thread can immensely reduce the rejects in a garment factory . 

Around 100 participants including Research scholars, students of Fashion Technology and faculty members from various colleges within and outside the city attended the webinar.

The speaker answered queries of lot of students like sewing on stretchable fabrics, how GSM of fabric is related to the selection of sewing thread, the needle and machine etc.  Overall, the webinar was very interesting and informative for the researchers and students who will be joining industry in future.

PUAA plants Trees on World Earth Day

Panjab University Alumni Association organized a plantation drive at PU alumni house to celebrate World Earth Day ,here today.

Prof. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examinations planted trees in the presence of Prof Anupama Sharma, Dean Alumni Relations, Ms. Renuka Salwan, Director Public Relations, Mr. Amandeep Singla, AE Horticulture along with staff of PU alumni association.


Dr. Jagat Bhushan said that tree plantation is very important step for the community, especially in the testing times of COVID19 and this initiative will go a long way in inculcating awareness about environment amongst students, faculty and staff.

Over 150 saplings of Neem and Gulmohar trees and Sangunya, schefflera, fern and euphorbia plants were planted in the entire premises of alumni house.
