अमेरिका : कैलिफोर्निया में F-16 विमान दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया

अमेरिका : कैलिफोर्निया में मार्च एयर रिजर्व बेस के बाहर एक गोदाम में एफ-16 लड़ाकू विमान दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया।

लेकिन दुर्घटना के ठीक पहले पायलट विमान से कूद गया था।

बेस के नागरिक मामलों के निदेशक मेजर पेरी कोविंगटन ने बताया कि पायलट को कोई चोट नहीं आयी है।

टेलीविजन समाचारों में दिखाया जा रहा है कि लॉस एंजिलिस से करीब 105 किलोमीटर पूर्व में इमारत के भीतर छत पर एक बड़ा छेद हो गया है।

मोबाइल से ली गई तस्वीरों और वीडियो में विमान का पिछला हिस्सा मुड़ा हुआ और गत्ते के बक्से का ढेर दिखाई दे रहा है।

गोदाम में काम करने वाले एक कर्मचारी डेनियल गालेगोस ने बताया कि उन्हें विमानों के आने और जाने की आवाजें आती रहती है लेकिन दुर्घटना से पहले की आवाज बहुत तेज थी।

मार्च एयर रिजर्व बेस के उप दमकल प्रमुख तिमोथी होलीडे ने बताया कि दुर्घटना तब हुई जब पायलट नियमित प्रशिक्षण के बाद लैंडिंग कर रहा था।

उन्होंने कहा कि पायलट को हाइड्रोलिक दिक्कतें आयी। उसने विमान पर से नियंत्रण खो दिया।

उन्होंने बताया कि गोदाम को मामूली नुकसान पहुंचा है और कोई बड़ी आग नहीं लगी जिसे उन्होंने चमत्कार बताया।

उन्होंने बताया विमान में केवल पायलट सवार था और उसे चिकित्सा जांच के लिए अस्पताल ले जाया गया।

नर्सिंग छात्राओं ने अपनी कलम से उकेरे डेंगू से बचाव व इसके रोकथाम के उपाय

पूदे देश में आज राष्ट्रीय डेंगू दिवस के रूप में मनाया जा रहा है। इसी उपलक्ष्य में नागरिक अस्पताल के ए.एन.एम. ट्रेनिंग स्कूल में डेंगू पर पोस्टर मेकिंग प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया। प्रतियोगिता में सिविल सर्जन डा. गोविन्द गुप्ता ने मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर शिरकत की, वहीं कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता जिला मलेरिया अधिकारी डा. दीप ने की। 

डेंगू पर पोस्टर मेकिंग प्रतियोगिता में पर ए.एन.एम ट्रेनिंग स्कूल, राजेंद्रा स्कूल आफ  नर्सिंग व लार्ड शिवा कॉलेज आफ  नर्सिंग की छात्राओं भाग लिया। छात्राओं ने बड़े सुंदर ढंग से पोस्टर के माध्यम से अपनी कलम की कला से डेंगू से होने वाले शारीरिक नुकसान तथा इसके बचाव के लिए किए जाने उपाय व बरती जाने वाली सावधानियों का बखूबी चित्रण किया। प्रतियोगिता में प्रथम स्थान, दुसरे स्थान व तीसरे स्थान पर आने वाली छात्राओं को सिविल सर्जन डा. गोविन्द गुप्ता ने पुरस्कार देकर समानित किया।

डा. गुप्ता ने संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि डेंगू की बीमारी मच्छर द्वारा फैलती है। इसके अलावा मलेरिया, चिकनगुनिया,कालाजार,जे0ई0 भी मच्छर जनित रोग हैं। इन सभी रोगों से बचने के लिए जरूरी है कि हम मच्छर को पैदा ही ने होने दे। उन्होंने कहा कि घरों में सीमेंट से बनी टंकियों को पूरी तरह ढक कर रखें। सप्ताह में एक बार टंकियों, कूलरों, गमलों, षौचालयों में पड़े घड़ों, छतों पर पड़े बेकार टायरों, पशु-पक्षियों के पानी पीने के बर्तनों व अन्य पानी के स्त्रोतों को खाली करे व रगड़कर साफ  करे व फिर पानी भरे। 

उन्होंने कहा कि अपने घरों के आस-पास पानी को ज्यादा दिनों तक खड़ा ना रहने दें, क्योंकि खड़े पानी में मच्छर अण्डे देता हैं, जो 7 दिनों में पुन: मच्छर बनकर मलेरिया, डेंगू, चिकनगुनिया, कालाजार, जे0ई0 जैसी खतरनाक बीमारियां फैलाता है। किसी भी बुखार की अनदेखी न करे, तुरन्त ख्ूान की जांच करवाए। बुखार होने पर तुरंत अपने नजदीकी सरकारी हस्पताल में रक्त की जाँच करवाए तथा डेंगू पाए जाने इसका पूर्ण उपचार बिलकुल मुफ्त उपलब्ध है। इस अवसर पर डा. अनिशा ने आखों के ट्रेकोमा रोग के बचाव व उपचार के बारे में बताया। इस अवसर पर देवेन्द्र मोंगा, हेल्थ सुपरवाईजर जितेंदर सहित नर्सिंग होम की छात्राएं व स्टाफ उपस्थित था।

उपायुक्त ने बताया कि जिला में गेहूं की कटाई का कार्य अंतिम चरण पर है। उन्होंने बताया कि 15 मई तक जिला की तीनों अनाजमंडियों में 53430 टन गेहूं की खरीद की जा चुकी है

उपायुक्त डॉ0 बलकार सिंह ने बताया कि जिला में गेहूं की कटाई का कार्य अंतिम चरण पर है। उन्होंने बताया कि 15 मई तक जिला की तीनों अनाजमंडियों में 53430 टन गेहूं की खरीद की जा चुकी है।

उन्होंने बताया कि इस अवधि तक बरवाला अनाजमंडी में 23625 टन, पंचकूला अनाजमंडी में 9823 टन तथा रायपुररानी अनाजमंडी में 19982 टन गेहूं खरीदा जा चुका है। उन्होंने बताया कि गेहूं की खरीद हैफेड  और हरियाणा भंडारण निगम द्वारा की जा रही है। हैफेड द्वारा 15 मई तक 43660 टन गेहूं खरीदी गई हैं जबकि हरियाणा भंडारण निगम द्वारा इस अवधि तक 9823 टन गेहूं की खरीद की है। उन्होंने बताया कि खरीदे गये अनाज को मंडियों से साथ की साथ उठवाया जा रहा है और अब तक 50440 टन गेहंू का उठान किया जा चुका है।

जिला विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण द्वारा 20 और 23 मई को कानूनी साक्षरता शिविर आयोजित करके विद्यार्थियों को कानूनी पहलुओं की जानकारी दी जायेगी।

यह जानकारी देते हुए जिला विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण के एक प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि इन शिविरों में मुख्य न्यायदंडाधिकारी विवेक गोयल और एडवोकेट योग्यदत्त शर्मा कानूनी पहलुओं की जानकारी देंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि 20 मई को प्रातः 10 बजे राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय टिक्कर में इस तरह का शिविर लगाया जायेगा, जिसमें एडवोकेट योग्यदत्त शर्मा कानूनी पहलुओं पर चर्चा करेंगे। इसी प्रकार 23 मई को प्रातः 11 बजे ब्लूबर्ड स्कूल सेक्टर-16 पंचकूला में आयोजित होने वाले शिविरों में मुख्य दंडाधिकारी विवेक गोयल और बाल संरक्षण के राज्य समन्वयक पुनीत शर्मा बच्चों के अधिकारों से जुड़े कानूनी पहलुओं की जानकारी देंगे।

जिला से चार युवतियों को किया जाएगा चयन, शहीद भगत सिंह स्टेडियम में प्रात: 10 बजे होगा साक्षात्कार

ऋषिकेश के कोडियाल में पांच दिवसीय रिवर राफटिंग कैंप का आयोजन किया जाएगा। खेल विभाग हरियाणा द्वारा कैंप के लिए प्रत्येक जिला से चार-चार युवतियों का चयन किया जाएगा। इसी कड़ी में सिरसा जिला की युवतियों के लिए स्थानीय शहीद भगत सिंह स्टेडियम में 21 मई को प्रात: 10 बजे साक्षात्कार का आयोजन किया जाएगा। 

जिला खेल एवं युवा कार्यक्रम विभाग के वालीवाल प्रशिक्षक कृष्ण कुमार बैनीवाल ने बताया कि एक से 5 जून तक कोडियाल, ऋषिकेश (उत्तराखंड) में युवतियों के लिए रिवर राफटिंग कैंप का आयोजन करवाया जा रहा है। खेल विभाग की ओर से हर जिला से चार-चार युवतियों का चयन रिवर राफटिंग कैंप के लिए जाना है। इसके लिए शहीद भगत सिंह में 21 मई को साक्षात्कार रखा गया है। कोई भी इच्छुक युवती जो रिवर राफटिंग कैंप में भाग लेने की इच्छुक है, वो निर्धारित तिथि को प्रात: 10 बजे शहीद भगत सिंह स्टेडियम में पहुंचें।

उन्होंने बताया कि साक्षात्कार के माध्यम से कैंप के लिए प्रतिभागियों का चयन किया जाएगा। प्रतिभागियों के कैंप में आने-जाने का पूरा खर्च विभाग द्वारा वहन किया जाएगा। इस बारे अधिक जानकारी के लिए वाई.सी.ओ. रोबिना मैहता से मोबाईल नं. 94160-76244 पर संपर्क करके ले सकते हैं।

The Teachers and students of Ladakh were accompanied by Capt. Amrinder Singh of 22 Medium Regiment. This Capacity Building Tour was for the exposure to  teachers and students about various educational Institute and heritage sites in India under Sadbhavna. Chairperson Centre for Social Work, Dr. Monica Munjial Singh said that student have visited various departments in University Camps such as Fine Art Gallery, Museum of Gandhian Bhavan, Centre for Social Work and Sports Ground Etc. Students of Social work also aware them about the opportunities of education and the importance of Education in Life so that they can also go for higher education. Dr. Gaurav Gaur Assistant Prof. appraised the said Interactive capacity building tour and Mr. Prashant Sharma Field Supervisor coordinate the Tour.

World Orthodontic Health Day (WOHD) Celebrations at Panjab University Dental Institute.

Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics of Dr Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital organized Creative Writing Competition’ to mark the occasion of World Orthodontic Health Day (WOHD) on 15th may.  Every year  15th may is celebrated  as WOHD to marks the signing of the World Federation of Orthodontist’s  (WFO) charter in 1995 during the 4th International Orthodontic Congress® in San Francisco. World Orthodontic Health Day is designed to tie the WFO’s past and future together.

The following were the result of the competition:

        The winner and consolation prize winner of the Creative Writing Competition will now be provided free of Cost (No Hospital charges) and immediate orthodontic treatment respectively. The consolation prize winners will be provided immediate orthodontic treatment. It is pertinent to mention that for orthodontic treatment there is a long waiting list and the above prize winner will be immediately taken for treatment without waiting.  The department of orthodontics has last year also conducted the Painting competition to mark the occasion of World Orthodontic Health 
Day (WOHD).  The department plan to conduct this kind of competition every year on 15th May so as to make people aware about orthodontic Health.

EMBO awarded to PU Research Fellow

 Shiyana, a UGC –  Research Fellowship in Sciences for meritorious students 
(RFSMS) fellow pursuing PhD under the supervision of Prof. Kanwaljit Chopra, Chairperson, University Institute Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), and Professor, Pharmacology Division, UIPS, Panjab University has brought laurels to the name of the University. She was awarded the prestigious European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) Short Term Fellowship (€ 6252.00) for a period of 3 months from 15 January to 15 April 2019 to conduct circadian research at the Department of Neurohumoral 
Regulations, Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, Czech Republic. The fellowship included subsistence and travel allowance.

She studied the impact of constant artificial light and food intake in the night time on our biological clock in rat brain and ileum. Her research work elucidated the importance of minimizing the exposure to artificial light in the night time and restricting the food intake during the daytime for our good health.
