गया में, दिमागी बुखार से एक हफ्ते के अंदर 22 नए केस, 6 बच्चों की मौत
बिहार: बिहार में दिमागी बुखार का कहर अभी तक जारी है। इस बीमारी से अब छह और बच्चों की मौत हो गई है। दो जुलाई को गया के अनुग्रह नारायण मगध मेडिकल कॉलेज में 22 बच्चों को भर्ती कराया गया था। जिनमें से छह बच्चों की मौत हो चुकी है।
चिकित्सा अधीक्षक डॉ. वी के प्रसाद ने कहा, यह बताया जा रहा है कि यह एक्यूट इंसेफेलाइटिस सिंड्रोम (एईएस)) का मामला हो सकता है लेकिन अभी इसकी पुष्टि नहीं की जा सकी है, रिपोर्ट की प्रतीक्षा है। रिपोर्ट आने के बाद इसका पता चलेगा।
चिकित्सा अधीक्षक डॉ वीके प्रसाद ने आगे कहा कहा कि दो जुलाई को 22 लोगों को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। मरीजों का इलाज किया जा रहा है। बता दें कि इस बीमारी से मुजफ्फरपुर में मरने वाले बच्चों की संख्या बढ़कर 140 हो गई है।
इनमें से 119 की मौत श्री कृष्ण मेडिकल कॉलेज एंड हॉस्पिटल (एसकेएमसीएच) और 21 मौत केजरीवाल अस्पताल में हुई हैं। इस बीमारी को बिहार में दिमागी बुखार और चमकी बुखार भी कहा जाता है।
बिहार सरकार और केंद्रीय एजेंसियों की टीमें बच्चों की मौत के असल कारणों का पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रही हैं। लेकिन इसकी असल वजह का पता नहीं चल पा रहा है।

Professor Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh presided over the event, Shri Ashish Kumar Chauhan, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Mumbai was the Chief Guest. Professor Deepak Kapur welcomed the distinguished guests, faculty, staff and students and presented the mementos to the distinguished guests. He informed the audience that in the 51st year of the commencement of the MBA program at the UBS, a new program with the nomenclature MBA(Entrepreneurship) has been started. Professor Deepak Kapur also introduced the Chief Guest Mr Ashish K Chauhan to the audience. Thereafter, Professor Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh addressed the audience. He stressed the importance of Entrepreneurship. Thereafter, Mr Ashish Chauhan delivered his address. He stated that unlike the earlier times when technology changed in one or two generations, in the present day technological change comes in waves, and these technological waves are becoming faster and faster. He stated that the next 50 years would see the wealth creation that has not been seen ever during the last 10,000 years. He was optimistic that with majority of the Indian population comprising of the younger age group, the next few decades would see the emergence of India as an economic power house. he predicted that if everything goes well, next 50 years would see India become an 100 trillion dollar economy, comprising of about 15% of the world’s GDP of estimated 720 trillion dollars.Mr Chauhan delineated the developments in the Indian economy since independence in 1947, and gave reasons as to why the People’s Republic of China that was even slightly behind India in terms of per capita GDP in 1978, has not only overtaken Indian during the last four decades but has progressed to an extent that has resulted in a per capita GDP lead of China by over about six times over that of the per capita GDP of India.

The University Business School(UBS) organised the Inauguration of the newly introduced MBA(Entrepreneurship) program wef the academic session in Seminar Room – A. Professor Shankarji Jha, Dean University Instruction (DUI) was the Chief Guest, and Shri S.S.Virdhi, Chief Engineer (Retd.) was the Guest of Honor. Professor Deepak Kapur welcomed the distinguished guest and presented them the flower bouquets. He exhorted the newly admitted students to work very hard, and leave no stone unturned to excel in academics. Professor Shankarji Jha quoted extensively from the ancient Indian sanskrit literature including that from the Mahabharta to motivate the audience. The event was well attended by the Faculty and students of UBS.

एचपीएससी ने एचसीएस (एग्जिक्यूटिव ब्रांच) भर्ती के लिये विभिन्न विभागों में कार्यरत ग्रुप सी कर्मचारियों से 18 पदों के लिये आवेदन आमंत्रित किये थे, जिसमें कोर्ट, विधानसभा व एचपीएससी को अलग रखा गया। एडवाकेट सुरेश कुमार कौशिक ने इस संबंध में जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि सरकार द्वारा इस भर्ती के लिये मांगे गये आवेदनों मे कोर्ट, विधानसभा व स्वयं एचपीएससी के कर्मचारियों को शामिल नहीं किया गया, जिससे कोर्ट कर्मचारी दिलबाग सिंह व अन्य ने मिलकर पंजाब व हरियाणा हाईकोर्ट में याचिका दायर की। इसमें उन्होंने अपील की कि जब हम सभी निर्धारित पात्रतायें पूरी करते है तो हमें किस आधार पर इस भर्ती के आवेदनों से वंचित किया जा रहा है।
एडवोकेट कौशिक ने बताया कि उन्होंने कोर्ट में कर्मचारियों का पक्ष रखते हुए अपील की कि इन कर्मचारियों को इस भर्ती से अलग करने का सरकार का यह कदम सामान्य भर्ती नियम व कानून के विरूद्ध है। आज जब यह केस पंजाब व हरियाणा हाईकोर्ट की प्रथम डिविजन बैंच के सामने सुनवाई के लिये आया तो कोर्ट ने सरकारी वकील से इस बारे में जवाब तलब किया। वकील ने सरकार का पक्ष रखते हुए इस भर्ती के आवेदन की अंतिम तिथि 12 जुलाई तक बढ़ाने की बात कही, जिस पर न्यायालय ने 11 जुलाई तक एचपीएससी व सरकार को इस बारे जवाब दायर करने के लिये नोटिस जारी कर दिया।

A three week, Indo- US Joint Summer School on “Renewable Energy” was inaugurated today at Dr. S. S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology, Panjab University. The inauguration was presided by Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor and Chief Guest and Dean International Students Prof Nandita Shukla Singh.
The US Coordinator Prof. Devinder Mahajan along with Indian Coordinator Prof. Amrit Pal Toor highlighted the objectives and details of the program. This joint summer school is in collaboration with Stony Brook University, New York USA along with Dr. SSB UICET, a twinning activity with DUIET, Dibrugarh funded by TEQIP III. The program will be from July 8-26, 2019 and will be attended by students of both the universities. The course includes lectures by faculties from both universities, along with field visits to fossil park, geothermal stations etc. The program will focus on renewable energy technologies like solar energy, Bio fuels, Nuclear energy and hydroelectric power.

Professor Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University(PU), released the ‘Panjab Journal of Sikh Studies’, Vol. V, here today, in the presence of Professor Shankarji Jha, Dean of University Instructions, PU, Professor Jaspal Kaur Kaang, Chief Editor of the Research Journal and other editors and the students. The Journal is published by the department of Guru Nanak Sikh Studies PU. The Journal is bi-lingual and has over 2 scores of research papers relating to Panjab and Sikh Studies. The next issue of the journal Vol. VI would be the special issue on Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji which would be dedicated to the 550th centenary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and would come out in August 2019 said Professor Jaspal Kaur Kaang.
