आम आदमी पार्टी आगामी 8 दिसंबर के किसानों के  भारत बंद को अपना पूरा समर्थन देगी और उस दिन देश भर में किसानों के समर्थन में जगह जगह प्रदर्शन करेगी। पार्टी का कहना है कि आज देश के आम आदमी की लड़ाई लड़ रहे किसान को आम आदमी के भी समर्थन् की जरुरत है और उसे किसानों का समर्थन करना भी चाहिए,क्योंकि यह लड़ाई अकेले किसान की नहीं है, बलिक आने वाले समय में यह आम आदमी की लड़ाई हो जायेगी।  पार्टी का कहना है कि अगर सरकार ने यह तीनों बिल वापिस नहीं लिये तो देश के बड़े बिजनेस घराने किसान की कम दाम की फसल खरीदकर उसे कई कई गुणा ऊंचे दामों पर बेचेंगे। ऐसे में आम आदमी को रोटी भी नसीब नहीं होगी। यही सोच लेकर आप के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक एवं दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने किसानों के इस आंदोलन में कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर चलने का फैसला किया है और दिल्ली में किसानों को हरसंभव मदद कर रहें हैं।

यह घोषणा आज यहां आम आदमी पार्टी के हरियाणा के संयोजक एवं दिल्ली से राज्यसभा सांसद डा. सुशील गुप्ता ने पत्रकारों को संबोधित करते हुए की। उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र की भाजपा सरकार ने किसानों के साथ ही नहीं बल्कि देश की जनता के साथ धोखा करते हुए गुपचुप तरीके से कृषि विरोधी बिल पारित करवा दिये। अब जब देश का किसान अपनी किसानी बचाने व देश को भुखमरी की नौबत से बचाने के लिए लड़ाई लड़ रहा है तो भाजपा वाले उन्हें न सिर्फ आंतकी,खालिस्तानी बता रहे हैं,बल्कि उनके साथ वैसा व्यावहार भी कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि देश की जनता और किसानों की इस मांग के आगे सरकार को झुकना ही पड़ेगा और ये बिल वापिस लेने ही पड़ेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि आज सरकार किसानों से बात तो कर रही है,मगर उनकी बात सुनने की बजाये अपनी मांग मनवाने पर अड़ी हुई है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री मन की बात में अपने तीनपों बिलों को सही बताते हैं तो फिर वे किसानों की समस्या का हल कैसे निकालेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि दूसरी ओर आप के राष्ट्रीय संयासेजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने केंद्रग सरकार द्वारा किसानों को कैद करने के लिए जब दिल्ली सरकार से दिल्ली के स्टेडियम अस्थायी  जेल बनाने के लिए मांगे तो उन्होंने इसके लिए केंद्र सरकार को साफ मना कर दिया था कि अपनी बात कहने व केंद्र सरकार के किसी भी गल्त फैसले का शांतिपूर्वक ढंग से विरोध करने का किसानों का संवैधानिक हक है। उन्हें नहीं रोका जा सकता और वह इस मामले में किसानों के साथ हैं। उन्होंने पंचकूला नगर निगम के चुनावों में चुनाव लडऩे के इच्छुक पार्टी के नेताओं से कहा कि पर्टी यह चुनाव पार्टी सिंबल पर नहीं लड़ेगी, क्येांकि इन छोटे चुनावों में वे आपसी भाईचारा खराब नहीं करेंगे। कल को सबको साथ मिलकर चलना है। ऐसे में जो कोई भी चुनाव लडऩा चाहेगा वह निर्दलिय रुप से चुनाव लड़ेगा परंतु पार्टी उस उम्मीदवार का पूरा पूरा समर्थन करेगी। उन्होंने कालका के गांवों रजिस्ट्रयों पर रोक लगाने के सरकार के फैसले की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि यह इलाके साथ पूरी तरह से भेदभाव है तथा इस रोक को तुरंत प्रभाव से हटाया जाना चाहिए।

राज्यसभा सांसद दीपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा ने किसान आंदोलन को लेकर सरकार के रवैये पर सवाल खड़े किए हैं। हुड्डा का कहना है कि सरकार लगातार किसानों के धैर्य का इम्तिहान ले रही है। जबकि किसानों की मांग पूरी तरह स्पष्ट और जायज़ हैं। 3 कानूनों को वापिस लेने से भी सरकार के खाज़ाने पर भी कोई असर नहीं पड़ने वाला। फिर भी सरकार इन कानूनों को वापिस क्यों नहीं ले रही? सरकार का ये अड़ियल रवैया समझ से परे है।  राज्यसभा सांसद का कहना है कि अन्नदाता मुश्किल और निर्णायक दौर से गुज़र रहा है। हरियाणा सरकार की तरफ से लगाई गई तमाम बंदिशों को पार करते हुए, किसान अपना घर छोड़कर कड़कड़ाती ठंड में खुले आसमान के नीचे बैठा है। इतने बड़े स्तर पर चल रहा आंदोलन पूरी तरह अनुशासित और शांतिपूर्ण है। किसान ही नहीं देशभर के मजदूर, कर्मचारी, समाजिक, राजनीतिक और दूसरे संगठनों का समर्थन भी आंदोलन को मिल रहा है। हरियाणा, पंजाब के बाद यूपी, राजस्थान, मध्य प्रदेश, उड़ीसा, कर्नाटक, झारखंड, महाराष्ट्र समेत सभी प्रदेशों के किसान इस आंदोलन का हिस्सा बन रहे हैं। इसलिए अब ये जन-जन का आंदोलन बन चुका है। आंदोलन जितना लंबा चलेगा, उतना ही बड़ा होता जाएगा।

Society for Promotion of Science & Technology in India (SPSTI) in association with the Chandigarh Chapter of NASI (National Academy of Sciences India), Technology Enabling Centre (TEC), University Institute of Engineering & Technology and Panjab University Alumni Association Chandigarh organised an online memorial meeting in honour of the Father of Indian IT Industry, Padma Bhushan Dr. F.C. Kohli, Founder and first C.E.O. of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), who left for his heavenly abode on November 26, 2020. 

The web assembly took place today at 11:00 AM to pay tribute to this preeminent alumnus of the University of Punjab, Lahore (a precursor of Panjab University, Chandigarh).

The meeting was steered by Prof. Keya Dharmvir, General Secretary of SPSTI. 

Prof. Arun K. Grover, former Vice Chancellor of Panjab University spoke on the background of the memorial meeting, highlighting Dr. Kohli’s association with Tata Consultancy Service and TIFR (Tata Instt. Of Fundamental Res., Mumbai) and his work with Prof. Yash Pal, Prof. Narasimhan, Prof. M. K. G. Menon, Dr. Mathai Joseph and Dr. Kehav Nori. Prof. Rajesh Kochhar, an eminent historian of Science, presented a brief profile of Dr. Kohli including his personal and professional life. There were messages from Prof. Raj Kumar, VC, PU and Prof. Kesav V. Nori, IIIT Hyderabad, who was earlier a senior functionary at TCS, highlighting his role as a great mentor and visionary.

Shri Som Mittal, former Chairman NASSCOM, paid his tribute stating him being an engineer at heart and being a great student as well as a great teacher throughout his life. Dr. Ananth Krishnan who is Chief Technology Officer at TCS read the official statement on the great loss and said greatest tribute to him will be if we can live up to his vision for the growth of nation. Shri Rajiv Vaishnav shared how his every meeting with Dr. Kohli was focussed on what better NASSCOM can do to, showing his passion for nation. There was also a message from Prof. Shri S. K. Munjal from Hero Enterprises indicating both computer and software industry would not have been possible without Mr Kohli’s interventions. Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, shared his personal experiences and the supportive role played by Dr. Kohli. Prof. Manoj Arora, former Director, PEC shared his vision that science curriculum including mathematics should be revised every year. Prof. Sarit K. Das, Director IIT, Ropar also shared how passionate Dr. Kohli was with the development of nation and stated his words “India has no damn business to remain poor”. Prof. Dheeraj Sanghi, Director, PEC, Dr. Manu Sharma, UIET, Prof. Renu Wig, former Director, UIET, Prof. R. K. Kohli, Secretary, Chandigarh chapter of NASI, Prof. Deepti Gupta, Dean Alumni Relations, Panjab University, Mr. Akhil from MP and Prof. G. S. Kainth, ex Faculty, IIT Kanpur, also paid their tribute by sharing their experiences. The meeting was also attended by Prof. R. P. Bambah, former VC, Panjab University and a contemporary of Dr. F. C. Kohli in Lahore, with more than 200 participants on zoom and about 222 on facebook page of SPSTI. 

The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Shri Dharam Vir, IAS (Retd.) & President SPSTI, to all the present for the memorial meeting remembering Dr. Kohli as a legend who not only had passion for developing technology in country but also had similar love for academics

                    उपायुक्त प्रदीप कुमार ने कहा कि मौसम बदलने के साथ ही सर्दी-जुखाम, बुखार जैसी मौसमी बीमारियों फैलने का अंदेशा रहता है। ऐसे में कोरोना संक्रमण के भी बढऩे के आसार बढ़ सकते हैं, इसलिए बीमार, बुजुर्गों, बच्चों व गर्भवति महिलाओं को अधिक ऐहतियात बरतने की आवश्यकता होती है। उन्होंने कहा कि अभी तक कोरोना की कोई वैक्सीन नहीं आई है। जब तक दवाई नहीं आती है तब तक फेस मास्क तथा सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग रख कर ही इससे बचाव का उपाय है। इसलिए आमजन प्रशासन का सहयोग करें तथा गृह विभाग द्वारा कोविड-19 के मद्देनजर जारी हिदायतों की पालना करके संक्रमण से स्वयं बच सकते हैं तथा दूसरों को भी सुरक्षित रख सकते हैं।

                    उपायुक्त ने कहा कि कोरोना के फैलाव को रोकने व इसके बचाव के लिए सभी को आपसी सहयोग के साथ कार्य करना चाहिए। एकजुटता व संकल्प से ही हम इस वैश्विक महामारी के खिलाफ लड़ाई को जीत सकते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि अब सर्दी का मौसम है, जिसमें संक्रमण के फैलने का खतरा ज्यादा रहता है। इसलिए अब लोगों को और अधिक सावधानी बरतने की जरूरत है। बहुत से लोग कोरोना को हलके में ले रहे हैं और वे न तो मास्क लगा रहे और न ही दूसरे उपायों का पालन कर रहे। ऐसे लोगों से अनुरोध है कि वे कोरोना को हलके में लेने की भूल कतई न करें। उनकी छोटी से लापरवाही स्वयं व दूसरों के लिए जानलेवा हो सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि जब तक कोई दवाई नहीं आती है, तब तक फेस मास्क ही इससे बचाव का उपाय है। उन्होंने कहा कि गृह विभाग की गाइडलाइन अनुसार बिना फेस मास्क वालों पर जुर्माना लगाए जाने का प्रावधान किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि कोई भी व्यक्ति बिना फेस मास्क के पाया जाता है, तो उसको 500 रुपये का जुर्माना किया जाएगा।

                    उपायुक्त प्रदीप कुमार ने कहा कि छोटी-छोटी सावधानियों को ध्यान में रखकर कोरोना से बचा जा सकता है। इसलिए नागरिक जब भी बाहर से घर पर आएं अपने हाथों को अच्छी प्रकार से साबुन से धोएं तथा सैनिटाइज करें। बाहर जाते समय फेस मास्क अवश्य लगाएं तथा सार्वजनिक छूए जाने वाली जगहों पर हाथ न लगाएं तथा दो गज की सामाजिक दूरी की पालना करें। इन सावधानियों को अपनाकर हम स्वयं को व दूसरों का कोरोना से बचाव कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि आयुष मंत्रालय भारत सरकार नागरिकों को सावधानी के साथ-साथ कोसा जल ताजा व सुपाचय भोजन, हल्दी, जीरा, लहसुन, धनिया का प्रयोग 150 ग्राम दूध में उबालकर उसमें तुलसी, सौंठ, दाल चीनी, काली मिर्च का काढा बनाकर प्रतिदिन लेना चाहिए। इसके अलावा प्रात: 10 ग्राम च्वनप्राश, गिलोय का काढा, आंवला, हल्का व्यायाम, प्राणायाम करना चाहिए।

              रिटर्निंग अधिकारी नगर परिषद सिरसा एवं एसडीएम जयवीर यादव ने बताया कि सिरसा नगर परिषद के वार्ड नंबर 29 के उप चुनाव के मद्देनजर 4 दिसंबर को नोटिस जारी किया गया है। प्रत्याशी 11 से 16 दिसंबर तक प्रात: 11 बजे से दोपहर 3 बजे तक (13 दिसंबर को छोड़कर) अपने नामांकन पत्र दाखिल कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि 17 दिसंबर को नामांकन पत्रों की जांच होगी तथा 18 दिसंबर को सांय 3 बजे तक प्रत्याशी अपने नामाकन पत्र वापिस ले सकते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि 18 दिसंबर को सांय 3 बजे बाद सभी उम्मीदवारों को चुनाव चिह्नï दिए जाएंगे तथा सभी प्रत्याशियों व पोलिंग स्टेशनों की सूची जारी की जाएगी। उन्होंने बताया कि 27 दिसंबर को मतदान होगा तथा 30 दिसंबर को मतगणना होगी तथा परिणाम घोषित किए जाएंगे।

Professor Girishwar Misar, Former Professor, University of Delhi and Former Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University, Wardha formally inaugurated the event and delivered the inaugural address on Spirituality and Mental Health.

Professor S.K Tomar, Director of HRDC, Panjab University, Chandigarh highlighted the activities and achievements of HRDC center and said that such deliberations are need of the hour as everyone in Corona is panicky and losing their mental health. This seven days program will help the young faculties to get their APA scores by attending this program but beyond this many senior professors has also joined this program to learn more about mental health, spirituality and well being. 

Professor Misar has rightly mentioned that there is a gap between needs and wants and consequently disharmony spreading in society. Every human being is having maximum wants and striving or running behind them.

Dr. Roshan Lal Coordinator of FDP, Asst. Professor of Psychology, PU  introduced the theme and welcomed all the participants and guests and shared that HRDC of Panjab University has provided the platform so that people can enhance their knowledge to get wellness in their daily life through being mentally healthy because spirituality and mental health both are the capital of well being. All human have been lost somewhere in rat race of modern life. He further added that daily there will be three sessions for 1.5 hours each in which eminent experts have been invited from India and abroad.

Today Professor NovRattan Sharma from M.D University Rohtak (Haryana) and Professor Akbar Hussain from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh  enlightened the participants towards the selected theme of program. 

Professor NovRattan Sahrma shared that Life without Values is meaningless and shared that every human have five values in life: Truth, Peace, Religion, non-violence and Love where majority of we are missing and misinterpreted all, resulting distortion in daily life.

Joint Secretary & Mission Director Smart Cities Govt. of India visit Chandigarh

Chandigarh, December 05: – Sh. Kunal Kumar, IAS, Joint Secretary and Mission Director Smart Cities, Government of India visited city to review the Smart City projects. During the visit, he was accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Sh. K K Yadav, IAS who briefed him about the projects and works being carried out by Chandigarh Smart City.  He visited site of Sector 39 Water Works where augmentation of storage capacity is being done to store one day of drinking water for the city. The foundation stone for the project has been laid by Honourable Governor, Punjab  and Administrator UT of Chandigarh Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore on 4th December.

Joint Secretary also took note of Solar power generation works of 2000 KWp that have been carried out in the Water Works.

During the site visit, he inspected Legacy Waste mining project site at Daddu Majra and appreciated the works that are being carried out, enquired about the bio-soil, construction & demolition waste and RDF disposal that is being done as a part of Smart City. He took note of the fact that 20 acres of land will be freed on the completion of this project.

Joint Secretary also visited Capital Complex and saw the restoration works of Heritage buildings including Secretariat, High Court and Open hand. A key feature of this visit was use of Cycle to cover major part of the visit to promote cycling in the city, all the officials used cycles during visit of Capital Complex and to next site of underpass connecting Sector 17 to Rose Garden. He appreciated the design and spaces created for activities to make the area live.

Joint Secretary took special interest in Integrated Command and Control center and visited MCC Command room to see the works under progress. A detailed presentation on the works under ICCC was made to Joint Secretary. He also visited site of up-coming city command center.

Later during the visit a detailed presentation on status of all the works under smart cities was made by CMC Sh. K K. Yadav, IAS to Mission Director. Mission Director expressed his satisfaction on progress and at the same time laid emphasis on expediting the works.

Joint Secretary gave his suggestions to review the projects based on output parameters like reduction in NRW, time savings etc. He also suggested to take citizens feedback for all the services on e-governance platform including the rating of the services provided. Similarly, he suggested having electronic feedback system for public toilets and their cleanliness. For innovative projects, he suggested that passive housing which are environmental friendly and have lesser energy consumption. He was also of view that as Chandigarh is independent India’s first planned city, a park where children can learn basics of Urban planning using Lego bricks can be planned.

During the visit, he was accompanied by Sh. N. P. Sharma CGM, Chandigarh Smart City and officials of CSCL and EGIS International PMC for Smart City and officials of Engineering Department.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date of submission of online Fresh admission of all Masters, Bachelor & Diplomas programmes up to 15th December, 2020 for the July-2020 session. This extension of last date shall not apply to Certificate and Semester-based programmes, i.e., MP, MPB, PGDMM, PGDFM, PGDHRM, PGDOM, PGDFMP, DBPOFA, PGDIS, MCA, BCA, and all Certificate and Awareness programmes of 6 months duration or less. Details of the IGNOU academic programmes for the July, 2020 session can be accessed from the link https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/. The prospective learners can apply for Masters/Bachelor/Diploma programmes of the University on the official website, informed The Regional Director of IGNOU Regional centre Chandigarh Dr. A.K.Dimri. Last date of submission of ‘online’ admission form for July session was earlier fixed for November, 30.

                               श्रीमती सोनिया सब्बरवाल  ने बताया कि तीन नाबालिग लड़को की  शादी 6 दिसंबर को होनी थी परन्तु हमारी टीम ने मौके पर पहुंच कर माता पिता को बाल विवाह कानून के बारे में जागरूक किया कि बाल विवाह अपराध है और बाल विवाह करने वालों को कानूनन सजा हो सकती है। बच्चों के माता पिता ने भी अपनी गलती को मानते हुए बाल विवाह नहीं करने का निर्णय लिया और सोनिया सब्बरवाल प्रोटेक्शन बाल विवाह निषेध अधिकारी से वायदा किया कि बालिग होने पर ही हम लड़कों की शादी करेंगे व बाल विवाह कानून का पालन करेंगे और लोगो को बाल विवाह के बारे में जागरूक भी करेंगे।
