पंचकूला, 3 अक्तूबर – हरियाणा के मुख्य सचिव श्री संजीव कौशल ने प्रदेशवासियांे को नवरात्रों की बधाई व शुभकामना देते हुए कहा कि राज्य सरकार किसानों के लिए पूरी तरह से समर्पित हैं और किसानों की फसल की खरीद के पुख्ता इंतजाम किए गए हैं। श्री कौशल आज अपनी धर्मपत्नी श्रीमती नमीता कौशल के साथ श्री माता मनसा देवी मंदिर में पूजा अर्चना करने उपरांत पत्रकारों से बातचीत कर रहे थे।


उन्होंने कहा कि किसानों के लिए सरकार पूरी तरह से समर्पित हैं और धान की खरीद के लिये मंडियों में सभी आवश्यक प्रबंध किये है। प्रदेश में धान की खरीद 1 अक्तूबर से आरंभ हो चुकी हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि मंडियों में समुचित साफ सफाई की व्यवस्था की गई है और यहां आने वाले किसानों के लिये अटल योजना के तहत रियायती दरों पर पौष्टिक भोजन की व्यवस्था की गई हैं।


उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार द्वारा मिलिंग का इंतनाम भी अच्छी प्रकार से किया गया है और व्यापारी भी इसमें सहयोग कर रहे हैं। गेटपास के संबंध में उन्होंने कहा कि सारी प्रक्रिया कंप्यूटराईज की गई है और किसानों को गेटपास की कोई भी समस्या नहीं आएगी।


मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि फसल की खरीद को व्यवस्थित तरीके से करने के लिये हर जिले में अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव स्तर के अधिकारियों की डयूटी लगाई गई है। ये अधिकारी अपने-अपने संबंधित जिलो में कम से कम तीन दौरे करेंगे ताकि किसानों को किसी प्रकार की समस्या ना आये।

श्री कौशल ने कहा कि आज उन्होंने माता के चरणों में प्रदेशवासियों की सुख-समृद्धि की कामना की हैं। उन्होंने प्रार्थना की है कि माता की कृप्या दृष्टि देश व प्रदेश पर हमेशा इसी प्रकार बनी रहे और देश व प्रदेश प्रगति के मार्ग पर अग्रसर रहे।

MCC moves towards declaring its office building at sector 17 ‘Zero Waste Campus’

Chandigarh, October 3:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh declared its office building at sector 17 ‘Zero Waste Campus’. Smt. Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor and Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, MCC checked all the arrangements of collection of waste and its scientific disposal at the office premises, today. 


While explaining about the initiative, Smt. Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor said that provisions have been made at floor level to collect stationery waste i.e. paper and other items; red colored bins for sanitary waste collection have been provided at each toilet block of ladies at every floor; wet waste composter in canteen at fifth floor. While e-waste container and old cloth container have been provided at ground floor besides providing big composter for green waste in the lawn of the office compound.


She said that hazardous waste will be disposed of scientifically by an NGO engaged with the MCC to collect the e-waste once in a week. Similarly old cloths will be collected by Self Help Groups for further disposal in making cloth bags and other items. She further said that wet west generated from kitchen at canteen will be processed in a wet waste composter having capacity of 25 Kg per day. The Mayor said that sanitary waste will be collected in red coloured bins from the ladies toilet blocks, which will be further disposed off scientifically. She said that officers concerned have been asked to install shredders to manage sanitary waste in the ladies toilets.


The Mayor said that dry waste i.e. dry leaves and horticulture waste will be dumped in a composter at the lawn inside the office compound, the manure will be used in flower beds and flower pots inside the office compound. She said that all other buildings of MCC will be made ‘Zero Waste Campus’ very soon.

Chandigarh, October 3:- Smt. Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor, Chandigarh today dedicated second rejuvenated ‘Amrit Sarovar’ of Chandigarh at Sarangpur village as part of the ‘Amrit Sarovar Mission’ aimed at the conservation of water.

Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Sh. Dalip Sharma, Senior Deputy Mayor, Sh. Anup Gupta, Deputy Mayor, Sh. Ram Chander Yadav, area councillor and prominent persons of local area were present during the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said that Hon’ble Prime Minister of India had launched the Mission aimed at developing and rejuvenating 75 water bodies in each district of the country as a part of celebration of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’  and the target to complete the work has been fixed as 15th August, 2023.

She further said that the Municipal Corporation under this mission planned to rejuvenate 3 abandoned Water Bodies at Village Kaimbwala, Sarangpur and Khuda Alisher. The water body at village Kaimbwala had already rejuvenated and dedicated to public on 15th August 2022 and the work on rejuvenation of third water body at village Khuda Alisher is in progress and shall be completed by the end of this month.

The Mayor said that the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has further planned to rejuvenate 4th Water Body at  Dadumajra Village and the work will be completed before 15th August 2023. The Municipal Corporation will also hoist the flag next year on the water body at Sarovar in Dadumajra Village on 15th August 2023.

She said that this water body is spread on area about 0.75 Acre and have capacity of holding water of 6000Cum. This water body was completely abandoned and lot of vegetation/jungle was grown up when it was transferred to Municipal Corporation Chandigarh in 2019.  The MCC has spent around Rs.30 Lakh rejuvenate this water body. The walls of water body, Lights, Hut for residents, Benches, Path way around the water body has been provided for the public. This water body will also raise the depleted ground water level and avoid flooding in village in addition to conserve the water. This will act as a mini Lake for the residents of the village. It is the duty of villagers now to keep it neat and clean.

CRIKC-Igniting Young Minds, an initiative for nurturing Scientific Temper through social outreach for school students, and Institution’s Innovation Council, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised a talk on the theme ‘My Story: a motivational session by a successful Start-up founder’ at Govt. Model High School, Sector 22C, Chandigarh.

The speakers of the day were Er. Sahil and Er. Gokul Chawla, Directors, Deframers Solar Pvt. Ltd., Mohali,and Alumni of UIET, Panjab University, who shared their inspiring journey from being students to enterprising professionals. They highlighted the need to think out of the box, stay focused, never give up, start small and seek mentorship. The school students showed keen interest and interacted profusely with the young entrepreneurs by sharing their own creative ideas.

Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Incharge-CRIKC Igniting Young Minds, Department of Botany, Dr Gaurav Sapra, UIET, and Dr Rajesh Kumar, UIET, Panjab University, motivated the students to get inspired from the success story of these young start-up founders and encouraged the school students to observe the surroundings keenly, look for problems and try to find simple solutions.

Mr Subhash Chand Aggarwal, President, Bhartiya Vikas Parishad, Chandigarh graced the occasion. Mrs Anuradha Gupta, Headmistress, GMHS, Sec-22C, proposed a vote of thanks.

Banwarilal Purohit, Governor Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh congratulated the Mayor, Commissioner, councilors, team of officers and citizens of city beautiful for securing 12th position in the Swachh Survekshan survey conducted by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, in which 4354 cities of India participated. 

After returning from New Delhi with the award, the team of Municipal Corporation  of Smt. Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor, Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Sh. Dalip Sharma, Senior Deputy Mayor and Sh. Anup Gupta, Deputy Mayor called on the Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, to seek his blessings, this evening.

The Governor said that achieving 12th place in the best performing cities in cleanliness and also being adjudged the fastest moving state/capital city was not only a huge achievement for Chandigarh but also a matter of immense pride . 

He praised Chandigarh for improving its waste collection and disposal mechanism, and hailed citizens, elected representatives and officials for the stellar performance. He said that the Safai Mitras are the true recipients  of this award. They toil day in and day out to keep the city clean. He said Chandigarh has emerged as the fastest moving capital and will gain its glory by securing top rankings in the ensuing survekshan survey with the active support and efforts of its citizens.

The Survekshan has evolved from being an assessment of 73 cities in 2016 to covering 4,354 cities this year, including 91 Ganga towns and 62 cantonment zones). The assessment was conducted in three phases in July-August, September-October and November 2021 to January 2022.

Mayor handed over ‘Pink MRF’ at sector 25 to women team

Chandigarh, October 2:- To commemorate Gandhi Jayanti, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh dedicated an MRF completely to women.

Smt. Sarbjit Kaur Dhillon, Mayor, Chandigarh handed over operations of the MRF of Sector 25 to the ‘women team’ and named the centre as “Pink MRF”. It is the first of its kind in the country where only women workers will operate. It is also the first unit of MCC to have only female workers. The pink workforce  includes 20 helpers, DEOs and Security Guards. The helpers were drawn from those who were earlier working as rag pickers. They will now perform the duty of segregating dry waste on conveyer belt.

Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, Sh. Anup Gupta, Deputy Mayor, Smt. Poonam and Sh. Kuldeep Kumar, councillors and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.

While speaking on the occasion the Mayor said that the local ragpickers have been identified and training has been imparted to them for operating conveyer belt, washer of vehicles etc. She said that the whole centre will be operated by the women team and support staff i.e. data entry operators besides security of the MRF centre in day will also be looked after by the women employees.

She said that three data entry operators will maintain daily data of MRF centre. She said that the project is one of the components of the Solid Waste Management system as per SWM rules 2016 which aims at reducing the time and cost involved in collection and disposal of waste.

School of Communication Studies (SCS) , Panjab University, Chandigarh hosted the Orientation Session of first year Masters and Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass communication on Friday, 30th September.

The session was conducted by Chairperson of SCS, Prof. Dr. Sumedha Singh along with faculty member Prof. Dr. Bhavneet Bhatti.

The freshers were introduced to the academic details of their respective courses and were further informed of the rules and regulations of the department. The new students were made familiar with the 75 percent attendance rule along with the details of their evaluation and examination patterns.

The students were acquainted with the ‘Earn While You Learn’ scheme of Panjab University and were encouraged to take part enthusiastically. The faculty further encouraged the students to take up summer jobs and internships during summer vacations.

Moreover, the department clubs were introduced and the student queries were resolved. The session ended with a small refreshment get together.

पंचकूला, 30 सितंबर – हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल ने घोषणा की है कि छोटे व्यापारियों के नुकसान की भरपाई के लिए मुख्यमंत्री व्यापारी क्षतिपूर्ति बीमा योजना लागू की गई है। इस योजना के तहत व्यापारियों को सामान्य बीमा दर पर आग, बाढ़ आदि से हुए नुकसान की भरपाई की जाएगी ।  

मुख्यमंत्री आज पंचकुला के सेक्टर-9 में छोटे व्यापारी रेहड़ी बाजार पुनर्वास योजना का शुभारंभ करने के बाद आयोजित कार्यक्रम को संबोधित कर रहे थे। मुख्यमंत्री ने  अंत्योदय मार्केट का भी शिलान्यास किया और हवन में पूर्ण आहुति दी। उन्होंने 8 अल्लाटियों को पोजैशन लेटर वितरित किए और हरियाणा शहरी विकास प्राधिकरण का ब्रोशर भी जारी किया।

राज्य की सभी रेहड़ी मार्केट होगी पक्की
मुख्यमंत्री ने घोषणा कि की भविष्य में किसी भी छोटे व्यापारी को इस तरह का दंश को न झेलना पड़े, इसके लिए गुरुग्राम, फरीदाबाद सहित राज्य की सभी रेहड़ी मार्केट को पक्के बूथ बनाकर अलाट किए जाएंगे। उन्होंने पंचकूला की सेक्टर 7, 11 व 17 में भी रेहड़ी मार्केट के पक्के बूथ बनाकर दिए जायेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि इस योजना के तहत छोटे व्यापारियों को एचएसवीपी द्वारा मार्केट रेट में 25 प्रतिशत की रियायत भी प्रदान की जाएगी, लेकिन यह छूट कब्जाधारियों पर लागू नहीं होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि मार्केट रेट के अनुसार एक बूथ का रेट लगभग 17 लाख रुपए बनता है लेकिन प्राधिकरण की रियायत के बाद  63 स्क्वेयर फीट के बूथ की लगभग 13 लाख रुपए कीमत होगी और इस पर सेंट्रल बैंक की और से 75 प्रतिशत ऋण की सुविधा भी प्रदान की जाएगी। इस प्रकार हर अलॉटी की भरपूर मदद की जा रही है। यदि   बूथ धारक इस राशि को 180 दिन में जमा करवा देगा तो उसे ब्याज की पूरी छूट दी जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि इस मार्केट में फुटपाथ, बिजली एवम अन्य संसाधनों पर प्राधिकरण की और से 50 लाख रुपए की राशि खर्च की जाएगी।

व्यापारी जीएसटी में अवश्य रजिस्टर करवाए
उन्होंने कहा कि लघु व्यापारियों को जी एस टी में रजिस्टर अवश्य करवाना चाहिए। इसके लिए प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने विशेष अभियान चलाया है। अगर व्यापारियों का कम जी एस टी भी बनता है तब भी उन्हें अवश्य रजिस्टर करवाना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि गत माह के दौरान देश में एक लाख पचास हजार करोड़ रुपए से ऊपर का राजस्व एकत्र हुआ है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि जिस दिन इस मार्केट आग लगने की घटना हुई उसी दिन सरकार ने छोटे व्यापारियों के लिए यह ठान लिया था कि उन्हें भविष्य में ऐसी पीड़ा न झेलनी पड़े और अधिकारियों को इस पर कार्य करने को कहा। अधिकारियों ने कड़ी मेहनत से जल्द ही यह योजना को अमलीजामा पहनाया इसके लिए उन्होंने अधिकारियों का आभार जताया।

सरकार कर रही अंतोदय की भावना से कार्य
हरियाणा सरकार अंतोदय के उत्थान की भावना से कार्य कर रही है ताकि पंक्ति में अंतिम व्यक्ति व्यक्ति का भला सुनिश्चित किया जा  सके। उन्होंने कहा कि इस अभियान के तहत सबसे पहला अधिकार जरूरतमंद व्यक्ति का है। ऐसे परिवारों के लिए परिवार पहचान पत्र के माध्यम से रोजगार मुहैया करवाया जा रहा है। अब तक मुख्यमंत्री परिवार उत्थान योजना के तहत 30 हजार परिवारों ने अपने रोजगार के कार्य शुरू किए हैं। इसलिए पंचकूला की इस मार्केट का नाम भी अंत्योदय रखा गया है।

कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए हरियाणा विधान सभा अध्यक्ष श्री ज्ञान चन्द गुप्ता ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री पीड़ितों के दुःख दर्द को समझते हुए पूरे प्रदेश के लिए बेहतर योजना लेकर आए है ताकि  छोटे व्यापारी एवं गरीब व्यक्ति भी सम्मान के साथ रोजी रोटी कमा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि शहरी क्षेत्रों में सस्ते और रियायती दर पर बूथ देकर छोटे व्यापारियों का मान बढ़ाया है और इतनी जल्दी एक माह में ही आग से प्रभावित छोटे दुकानदारों की सुनवाई की है।

उन्होंने कहा कि इस मार्केट में शौचालय एवम पेयजल का भी उचित प्रबंध किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा की एक सितंबर को आग से लगभग 134 दुकानें जलकर राख हो गई थी तब मुख्यमंत्री ने तुरंत राहत के तौर पर 25-25 हजार रुपए पीड़ित दुकानदारों को दिए थे। उन्होंने कहा कि प्राधिकरण भी छोटे दुकानदारों के जीवन में बदलाव लाने के लिए प्रयासरत है।
