Applications invited for the operation of a Taekwondo Mini Centre in Panchkula under the Khelo India Scheme – District Sports Officer
Panchkula, October 28: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, under the Khelo India Scheme, is set to establish a Khelo India Mini Centre for Taekwondo in Panchkula district. Eligible past champion athletes of the respective sport can apply to operate the centre.
Sharing this information, District Sports Officer Neelkamal informed that any interested past champion athlete wishing to apply under this scheme may submit their application by November 4, 2025, at the office of the District Sports Officer, Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Sector 3, Panchkula.
Enumerating about the eligibility criteria, the District Sports Officer stated that First preference will be given to athletes who have represented India in international competitions recognized by the National Sports Federation (NSF) for the respective sport. Second preference will be given to athletes who were part of a medal-winning team at the Senior National Championship conducted by a recognized NSF or who were medal winners at the Khelo India Games. Third preference will be given to athletes who were part of a medal-winning team at the National AIU Championships whereas fourth preference will be given to athletes who have represented state in Senior National Championship conducted by a recognized NSF or who have participated in the Khelo India Games.
