Panchkula, 19 February     – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said a scheme will soon be prepared for the rehabilitation of poor people residing in slums at Kharak Mangoli village, Rajiv and Indira colonies, Panchkula. About 7500 slums have been identified to benefit under this scheme.
 
Sh Manohar Lal was interacting with the media persons soon after inspecting the land identified for the rehabilitation of people, at village Kharak Mangoli here today.  Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta was also present on this occasion.
 
Sh. Manohar Lal said that people in village Kharak Mangoli, Rajiv and Indira colonies have been living in unauthorized slums for years. To remove unauthorized encroachments and rehabilitate people, 59.12 acres of land have been identified in Kharak Mangoli village by the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP). He directed the HSVP to hold a meeting soon with Forest, Public Works, Irrigation and Water Resources and Revenue Departments to discuss all aspects related to this land and prepare a scheme accordingly.
 
The Chief Minister said that in view of rehabilitation scheme to be prepared for slum dwellers of Kharak Mangoli, Rajiv and Indira colonies, he himself visited Dhanas and Maloya areas of Chandigarh along with Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker today and interacted   with the residents as well as officers of the administration. He said that before finalizing the scheme, discussions will be held with all stakeholders on various models. If necessary, the government will also facilitate loans for beneficiaries through banks, he added.
 
Sh. Manohar Lal said that a portion of HSVP land adjacent to Ghaggar river is lying unused due to its low-lying nature. He directed the concerned officer of Pradhikaran to prepare a comprehensive plan for the utilization of this land considering the safe flow of water in the Ghaggar river, so as to ensure the development of this area.


 
In response to a question regarding the government’s action plan to make Gurugram, Faridabad and other big cities slum-free, Sh. Manohar Lal said that a separate plan will be prepared for each city based on the availability of land and encroachment.
 
Haryana Budget to Focus on Antyodaya and Public Welfare
 
Answering a question about the upcoming budget session starting on February 20, he said that the state government’s budget will clearly reflect glimpses of Antyodaya and public welfare. Regarding the demand for Minimum Support Price (MSP) by farmers, he said that any problem can be resolved through mutual consensus. In response to another question, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the BJP will achieve the target to surpass 370 seats and that NDA of 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He added that BJP will sweep all 10 seats in Haryana.
          On this occasion, Chief Administrator HSVP, Sh. T.L. Satyaprakash, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Sushil Sarwan, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sumer Pratap Singh, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Sachin Gupta, ASP Manpreet Singh, Administrator, HSVP, Panchkula and Additional Director, Urban Estate, Smt. Varsha Khangwal,  SDM Gaurav Chauhan, Estate Officer, HSVP Manav Malik, DDPO Rajan Singla, Superintending Engineer HSVP Rajiv Sharma, Executive Engineer Rohtas Hooda, SDO Kailash and other concerned officers were also present.
