National Handloom Day at UIFT & VD

National Handloom Day was celebrated at University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Development (UIFT & VD), Panjab University, Chandigarh. Students of B.Sc. Fashion and Lifestyle Technology -III semester participated in a group discussion “handloom products and their significance in present day”. Interesting inputs were given by the students on how to promote and support the handloom industry. The awareness of students regarding the topic was commendable. This was followed by a poster making competition on the same. Smali Jain, Nupur Batra and Sidak Kaur of B.Sc. semester 3 bagged first, second and third position respectively.
