*MC Chandigarh celebrates community service with “Mittee Pani Di Chabeel” and Langer for Citizens*
*Chandigarh, June 10:–* In a remarkable display of community spirit and social responsibility, the employees of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh organized a “Mittee Pani Di Chabeel” and Langer at the Municipal Corporation Building for the citizens of Chandigarh. This gesture of good will was aimed at spreading the message of unity, kindness, and service to all residents, especially in the heat of the summer season.
The Chabeel was graced by Mayor of Chandigarh, Smt. Harpreet Kaur Babla, and the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, who actively participated in serving the traditional drink and the Langer to the citizens. Both expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the residents’ unwavering support and encouraged everyone to come together as one community to support each other.
The Mittee Pani Di Chabeel, a refreshing drink made from sugar, water, and special ingredients, was offered to the public to provide respite from the scorching heat. In addition, a traditional Langer, consisting of wholesome food, was prepared by the employees of the Municipal Corporation for all those present.
Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla shared her thoughts on the Chabeel: “This Chabeel reflects the values of compassion, service, and solidarity that define our city’s spirit. It is our small way of giving back to the citizens who continue to contribute to the vibrant growth of Chandigarh.”
The Chabeel was a huge success, with Thousands of citizens participating and enjoying the offerings. The employees of the Municipal Corporation worked tirelessly to ensure that the Chabeel was organized smoothly, and the food and beverages were served with the utmost care and safety.
This initiative aligns with the Municipal Corporation’s continuous efforts to promote civic harmony, public welfare, and a sense of togetherness. With more such Chabeels planned in the future, Chandigarh continues to be a city that leads by example in service to its citizens.
