diverse ideas which cut across different cultures, disciplines and

efforts of the center.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Raj Kumar inaugurated the webinar and thew light
on the importance of Panchkaram. He welcomed the speaker and stressed
that we should eat balanced diet to keep ourselves healthy.
Dr.Jagjit Singh an eminent speaker stressed that weak immunity is the
cause of falling victim to viruses such as Covid-19.  Ayurveda is highly
effective in fighting such virus attacks. In the past three or four
months we have been talking of fighting Corona virus. All discussions
are not only centered around physical health, but mental health also. If
the mind is ill, physical health will be of no use. Until the mind is
healthy and cheerful, the body can never be fit. Most medical systems
these days only treat the body, no one treats mind. Remember, it is the
person you are treating, not the physical body alone.  Ayurveda is one
such system, that treats the person, both body and mind.Modern lifestyle
is so hectic and competitive that stress level has increased
tremendously. Even young children experience extreme stress these days.
This stress has a devastating effect on the mind and body, and it
weakens immune system. Ayurveda helps us to keep the mind happy through
simple exercisesand reduces stress thus makes our immune system strong
so that it can fight all sorts of bacteriaand viruses. Simple remedies
such as taking a spoon of badam rogan with warm milk before going to bed
can result in sound sleep with which our concentration level increases
tremendously. Right diet according to season and at right time help us
to remain healthy. Our health suffers if the balance between vata, pitta,
and kapha gets disturbed. Ayurveda is  a science which cures, it does
not only manages disease symptoms. Ayurveda can increase our immunity
using simple things found in our kitchens such as turmeric, muletthi,
cumin, fenugreek, and carom seeds. These items if taken in right
quantity and in right season are most useful for us. The participants
interacted with the learned speaker and cleared many doubts regarding
COVID -19 and maintaining good health. Dr. Monika Agarwal proposed the
vote of thanks.
