With the ongoing admission process in Panjab University, Chandigarh, the last date of which is 3rd July, 2019, an overwhelming response in terms of applications received for various courses has been observed. Florence Nightingale, Girls Hostel No. 8, Sector-25, Panjab University in association with Nautical Institute (NI) conducted Fire Safety, Assessment and Awareness Programme here today.
The Committee consisting of Capt. Parvesh Ahluwalia as Chairman, Cadet Simranjit Kaur and Mr. Harshit Seaman conducted the programme and delivered lecture come awareness talk to the staff members. The various fire safety issues regarding Hostel Mess/canteen, laundering and tailoring sites were discussed. The main aim of the programme was to educate the staff and workers about the causes of fires and how to deal and prevent fire. So this type of drive is demand of today to make everyone aware and do assessment and familiarization with the fire safety norms. It was also decided that this type of awareness & drill will be organized in other hostels of Panjab University in phased manner.
Prof. Emanual Nahar, Dean Students Welfare in his address shared his views about the recent fire accidents in Surat, Gujrat in which students from private coaching centres died.
NI is an international organization of seafaring professional based in London. Capt. M.S. Kahlon is the chairman of Chandigarh Chapter is a NINW, Chandigarh region Branch organisation under the umbrella of NI. The programme was attended by Prof. Neena Capalash Dean Student Welfare(Women), Wardens of different hostel alongwith the staff and workers of mess and canteen.

वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के जरिये अधिकारियों को दिए जरूरी निर्देश
सीएमजीजीए प्रोग्राम के प्रोजेक्ट डायरेक्टर डॉ. राकेश गुप्ता ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के माध्यम से प्रदेश के उपायुक्तों व संबंधित अधिकारियों के साथ विकास योजनाओं की समीक्षा की तथा उनको पूर्णरूप से अमलीजामा पहनाने के लिए जरूरी निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने विशेष कर लिंगानुपात को और अधिक सुधारने के लिए स्वास्थ्य विभाग को छापामारी अभियान में तेजी लाने व लिंग जांच करने वालो के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई करने को कहा। डॉ. गुप्ता ने मुख्यमंत्री द्वारा की गई घोषणाओं को शीघ्र पूरा करने को कहा।
उन्होंने जन सेवाओं एवं योजनाओं के बारे में सरल केन्द्रों के साथ-साथ अंत्योदय केन्द्रों पर भी फोकस करने की आवश्यकता पर भी बल दिया ताकि लोग इन केन्द्रों पर भी ऑनलाईन जनसेवाओं और योजनाओं के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त कर लाभ उठा सकें। उन्होंने पीसी एवं पीएनडीटी एक्ट व अन्य योजनाओं के क्रियांवयन के बारे में कहा कि ढिलाई बरतने वाले अफसरों पर एक्शन लिया जाएगा।
डॉ. गुप्ता ने पीएनडीटी एक्ट के तहत की जाने वाली कार्रवाई की समीक्षा करते हुए स्वास्थ्य, महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग और पुलिस विभाग को आपसी सामंजस्य के साथ छापेमारी अभियान में तेजी लाने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि पीएनडीटी एक्ट के तहत अधिक से अधिक छापेमारी कर लिंग जांच करने वाले गिरोह को पकड़े ताकि प्रदेश के लिगांनुपात में ओर अधिक सुधार किया जा सके। इसी प्रकार से डॉ. गुप्ता ने सीएम विंडो व सोशल मीडिया से संबंधित लंबित शिकायतों का शीघ्र निवारण करने को कहा। सीएम विडो की समीक्षा करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि शिकायतों का निपटारा करने के दौरान शिकायतकत्र्ता की संतुष्टि होनी चाहिए। इसके अलावा पोर्टल को भी साथ-साथ अपडेट रखें।
डॉ. गुप्ता ने हरियाणा विजन-जीरो की नीति पर अमल करते हुए सड़क दुर्घटनाओं में कमी लाने के लिए वाहन चालकों में जागरूकता लाने को कहा ताकि लोग सड़क हादसों में अकाल मौत का शिकार न हों। उन्होंने यातायात के नियमों की पालना सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पुलिस विभाग को सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगवाने के लिए कहा। इसी प्रकार से डॉ. गुप्ता ने जीरो विजीन और ई-चालान, सरल व अंतोदय प्रोजेक्ट को भी शत-प्रतिशत ढंग से लागू करने के निर्देश दिए।
डॉ. गुप्ता ने लोगों को तहसीलों में मुहैया करवाई जा रही सेवाओं को सुगमता से उपलब्ध करवाने के निर्देश दिए। इसी प्रकार से सक्षम हरियाणा रोजगार शिक्षुता योजना के तहत सरकारी व नीजि क्षेत्र में आईटीआई उतीर्ण अधिक से अधिक युवक-युवतियों को रोजगार दिलाने को कहा। उन्होंने सक्षम हरियाणा शिक्षा के बारे में भी बेहतरीन कार्य के निर्देश देते हुए कहा कि इस ओर भी विशेष प्रयास किये जाए ताकि जिला के शेष बचे ब्लॉक भी समयबद्घ अवधि में सक्षम हो सके। उन्होंने कहा कि सक्षम हरियाणा शिक्षा में उत्साहवर्धक परिणामों सामने आ रहे हैं। अध्यापकों के हृदय परिवर्तन के कारण विद्यार्थियों में पढाई के प्रति अच्छा सुधार हो रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि जो जिले पूर्ण रूप से सक्षम हो चुके हैं वे अन्य जिलों से अपने अनुभव सांझा करें ताकि उन्हें भी लाभ मिल सके। उन्होंने कहा कि हरियाणा सरकार सक्षम प्लस योजना शुरू करने जा रही है जिसमें कई अन्य विषयों को भी जोड़ा गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि शिक्षा विभाग के स्टार अध्यापकों की ड्यूटी लगाए ताकि बच्चों को को निपुर्ण बनाया जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि 3 जुलाई को राज्य स्तर पर हरियाणा सक्षम योजना एक कार्यक्रम होगा जिसमें मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल स्वयं सक्षम युवाओं को सम्मानित करेंगे। उसी दिन सभी जिलों में भी जिला स्तर पर कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे जिसमें सक्षम युवाओं को सम्मानित किया जाएगा। स्थानीय लघु सचिवालय स्थित वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस कक्ष में उपायुक्त अशोक कुमार गर्ग, एसडीएम सिरसा वीरेंद्र चौधरी, एसडीएम डबवाली ओम प्रकाश, एसडीएम ऐलनाबाद अमित कुमार, एसडीएम कालांवाली विनोद खत्री, सीटीएम जयवीर यादव, सीएमजीजीए पूर्वी चौधरी, जिला न्यायवादी दीपक लेगा, आईसीडीएस विभाग की डीपीओ डा. दर्शना सिंह, सिविल सर्जन डा. गोबिंद गुप्ता सहित अन्य संबंधित अधिकारी मौजूद थे।

Panjab University, Chandigarh conducted the Entrance Test for LL.B. (3 years) Course-2019 on 22.06.2019 (Saturday). Total 9 Centres were created. 2385 students appeared in this examination. Observers were sent to every centre for routine checking and smooth conduct of the examination. Prof. Shankarji Jha, Dean of University Instructions, Registrar, Prof. Parvinder Singh, Controller of Examinations and Dr. Muneeshwar Joshi, Secretary to Vice Chancellor visited the Examination centers. The exam was conducted satisfactorily and no untoward incident was reported from any of the examination centres.
