हरियाणा कर्मचारी चयन आयोग ने जेई व स्टाफ नर्स के विभिन्न पदों के लिए होने वाले साक्षात्कार को टाल दिया है। जेई पद की भर्तियां तो 2015 से लटकी हुई। आयोग ने आगामी आदेशों तक इंटरव्यू प्रक्रिया को स्थगित कर दिया है। इसके अलावा क्लर्क पद की भर्ती भी विभिन्न कारणों की वजह से अभी तक सिरे नहीं चढ़ पाई है। आयोग ने पीडब्ल्यूडी बीएंडआर विभाग के लिए जूनियर इंजीनियर सिविल की पोस्ट निकाली थी। लंबे समय से यह भर्ती विभिन्न कारणों से लटकी हुई थी। मगर अब इन पदों के लिए इंटरव्यू होने थे। प्रशासनिक कारण बताते हुए इस साक्षात्कार को अगले आदेशों तक टाल दिया है। इसी तरह आयोग ने पीडब्ल्यूडी बी एंड आर विभाग के लिए ही जूनियर इंजीनियर मैकेनिकल की भी पोस्ट निकाली थी।
यह भी भर्ती लंबे समय से सिरे नहीं चढ़ पाई है। आयोग ने इसके इंटरव्यू भी अब टाल दिए हैं। उधर, आयोग द्वारा हरियाणा स्वास्थ्य महकमे के लिए स्टाफ नर्स पद के लिए भी भर्ती शुरू की थी। इस पद के लिए भी इंटरव्यू को स्थगित किया गया है। दूसरी ओर, आवेदकों को क्लर्क पद की भर्ती प्रक्रिया भी जल्द पूरी होने का बेसब्री से इंतजार है। आवेदकों ने बताया कि चार हजार से अधिक क्लर्क पद की भर्ती के लिए अभी सरकार ने प्री परिणाम घोषित किया है। अभी इन पदों की भर्ती के लिए फाइनल परिणाम घोषित होना बाकी है।लिहाजा यह भर्ती प्रक्रिया अभी फिलहाल लटकी हुई है। इसके तहत कुछ आवेदकों को डॉक्यूमेंट वेरिफिकेशन हो चुका है और शेष आवेदकों के डॉक्यूमेंट वेरिफिकेशन के के शेड्यूल को आयोग ने पिछले दिनों टाल दिया है।

The 33rd Convocation of IGNOU was held today on 17th February, 2020 (Monday) at IGNOU, Hqrs., New Delhi and its 39 Regional Centres simultaneously.Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, was the Chief Guest for the convocation function and delivered the convocation address at IGNOU Headquarters, New Delhi and the Convocation of IGNOU, Regional Centre, Chandigarh and Regional Centre, Khanna was held at the auditorium of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector – 36B, Chandigarh. Shri Chanranjit Singh Channi, Hon’ble Minister, Technical Education & Industrial Training, Govt. of Punjab, presided over the function and delivered the convocation address at RC Chandigarh and awarded Degrees/Diplomas to 351 students of Master Degrees and Professional Bachelor Degrees. In the convocation 5627 successful learners were awarded Degrees & Diplomas. In the previous convocation 1767 students were awarded degree. The significant increase in the awardees reflects the quality of support services provided to our learners by the Learners Support Centres.
Ms. Arti Verma student of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed, Ms. Divya Garg student of Post Graduate Diploma in Criminal Justice (PGDCJ), Ms. Shivani Sharma Student of Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Technology (PGDET) from Chandigarh Regional Centre and Mr. Amardeep Singh student of Diploma in Tourism Study (DTS) from Khanna Regional Centre were awarded gold medal in the function held at IGNOU, Hqrs., New Delhi.
Dr. Anil K. Dimri, Regional Director presented the annual report of the Regional Centre. In his report he mentioned that with a network of 30 Study Centres, Chandigarh Region of IGNOU, admits more than 18000 students per year and during the academic session 2019-20 the total student strength was 17790 registering an increase of 30.62 per cent over the last year. He also shared that 62 students from this region have received their Degree with distinction and 1600 learners with 1st Division. Dr. Dimri, highlighted the activities of the Centre and advised the students to take advantages of Open & Distance Learning based education, as this is cost effective and accessible to the common people. He also emphasized that IGNOU, Regional Centre Chandigarh is making sincere efforts to procure land for Regional Centre building for construction of its campus.
With a view to promote Open and Distance Learning education Regional Centre, Chandigarh was established in the year 2009 covering Panchkula, Mohali, Ambala, Patiala, Ropar, Fatehgarh Sahib and UT Chandigarh district. At inception of Regional Centre, Chandigarh there were only 05 Learner Support Centres which are presently 30 almost covering all the districts under this region and has witnessed 10 times growth in enrolment during last 11 years.
Dr. Santosh Kumari, Regional Director, IGNOU, Regional Centre, Khanna has also presented report and achievements of Regional Centre, Khanna on this occasion. She highlighted the importance of distance education and various activities of Regional Centre Khanna. She emphasized that Regional Centre, Khanna is play important role in imparting traing to the School level volunteer as more than 16000. Such volunteer are enrolled with DECE Programme of IGNOU from the State of Punjab.
Out of 5627 awardees, 1523 were from Master, 2166 from different Bachelor, 64 from Diploma and 789 from PG Diploma.
Chief Guest Shri Chanranjit Singh Channi, Hon’ble Minister, Technical Education & Industrial Training, Govt. of Punjab, awarded the Degrees and Diplomas to 351 successful learners of IGNOU. In his convocation address, he emphasized the role of Open & Distance Learning system in the present context and shared that our youths should come forward to take the advantage of the system. Mr. Singh highlighted that the greatest hallmarks of IGNOU which is lacking in Conventional University system is the considerable degree of flexibility in entry qualification, place, pace, lateral entry and exit points and duration of study. He also pointed out that conventional education system miserably fall short in meeting this ever increasing demand of higher education because of the inherent limitations of restricted intake. What is the way forward? Open Distance Learning (ODL) is the answer. The potential of this mode of education was realized long ago and a separate Department of Distance Education as part of the conventional university system became a reality. The country realized the need and potential of the distance learning as a viable, sustainable and cost-effective recipe to cope with the mounting pressure of higher education. He also advised the learners not to violate the basic matrix of morality, values of honour, dignity, friendship, social well-being and compassion towards fellow men. No idea or prescription can be above the conscience of humankind, prime mission of the learner is to serve your family, your fellow men, the society and the country as a whole. One could be a good professional only if one is good human being.
The Principal, Dr. Agneesh Dhillon, Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector – 36B, Chandigarh has also spoke on the occasion, who received the award of best IGNOU, Programme Study Centre in Chandigarh region.
The Principal’s of different Degree Colleges of Chandigarh, Coordinators of IGNOU, Study Centre Staff, Academic Counsellors, and other Guests were present on this occasion. The programme was also attended by Dr. Savita Panwar, Asstt. Regional Director & Dr. Nurul Hasan, Asstt. Regional Director and other staff of the Regional Centre. The programme was conducted by Dr. Savita Panwar, Asstt. Regional Director and vote of thanks was offered by Dr. Nurul Hasan, Asstt. Regional Director.
Engineering Services Exam (Prelims stage) was held for the coveted posts of Indian Engineering Services (IES) conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). IES officer is a Class – I Central Government officer equivalent in rank to an IAS officer. Engineering Services Examination is a 3 stage exam viz. Prelims, Mains and Interview.
More than 10000 students of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering appeared from Chandigarh across 25 centers in the tricity.
Prelims stage had 2 papers.
Paper I of 2 hours duration was General Studies and Engineering Aptitude of 200 marks having 100 questions, was common for all the students. Paper II of 3 hours duration was engineering specific objective paper of 300 marks having 150 questions.
Compete India Zone Director Akshaye Raj Aggarwal said,”The expected cutoff to qualify for MAINS is 220 marks out of 500 (for general category), as the paper was a bit lengthier compared to the last year.”
Out of total 500 marks, students will be shortlisted for MAINS stage to be held in May 2020.
CIZ Director Akshaye Raj Aggarwal said,”Paper I will be the deciding factor. Students who secure more than 110 marks in this exam out of 200 have bright chances for good rank. Students who think that they will qualify for mains should start their preparation immediately, as it requires practice of answer writing and derivations of formula.”

सिरसा। पुलिस कर्मचारियों के हित के लिए कल्याणकारी योजनाए लागू कर उनकी भलाई करना पहली प्राथमिकता है, ताकि पुलिस कर्मी वगैर किसी तनाव के अपने कर्तव्य का बेहतर ढंग से निर्वाहन कर सके। उक्त विचार सिरसा के वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक डॉ. अरुण सिंह ने जिला पुलिस के अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियो की पुलिस लाईन सिरसा में आयोजित वेलफेयर मीटिंग के दौरान व्यक्त किए । इस अवसर पर पुलिस अधीक्षक ने जिला पुलिस के विभिन्न थाना चौकियों पुलिस लाईन व पुलिस अधीक्षक कार्यालय से आए हुए पुलिस कर्मियों से उनकी समस्याओं के बारे मे जाना तथा सेवानिवृत हुए नौ पुलिस कर्मियों के समान में विदाई पार्टी का भी आयोजन किया गया । जिला पुलिस से सेवानिवृत हुए उप निरीक्षक सुभाष चंद्र, घन श्याम, राजेंद्र सिंह, विनोद कुमार, कृष्ण कुमार, सहायक उप निरीक्षक कुलदीप सिंह, हवलदार राजेंद्र कुमार, राजविंद्र सिंह व चतुर्थ श्रेणी कर्मी विजय सिंह को पुलिस अधीक्षक ने जिला पुलिस द्वारा स्मृति चिन्ह देकर सम्मानित किया गया तथा पुलिस विभाग में उनके द्वारा किये गए कार्यों की प्रशंसा की गई । इस अवसर पर पुलिस अधीक्षक ने सेवानिवृत्त पुलिस कर्मियों से कहा कि जिस तरह उन्होने पुलिस विभाग में बेहतर कार्य किया है उसी तरह आगे के जीवन में भी अपने आप को कार्यशील रखें और समाज हित के कार्यो में बढचढ कर भाग ले। इस मौके पर डीएसपी जगदीश काजला, डीएसपी कुलदीप बैनीवाल, डीएसपी आर्यन चौधरी, इंस्पेक्टर ईश्वर सिंह सहित अनेक पुलिस अधिकारी व कर्मचारी उपस्थित थे।

I went for a cup of coffee at Dunkin Donuts, saw a stranger totally engrossed, leaning over coffee table with some paper scattered all over the table. There was a colour box and few empty coffee cups. I got curious went closer and found some one totally aloof from the surrounding busy in his work, doing painting and having sip of coffee.
His activity made me curious, I felt excited though I did not feel like disturbing him but my excitement got better of me. Asked him curiosly “how could you manage such creative process in a busy place like cafe?” . He Smiled and said, “sip of coffee makes it easy” . My interrogative mind started preparing questions one after another. From him I came to know that he is trained Artist who didi his Master degree and Bachelor degree in painting from Banaras Hindu University (BHU,at VARANASI ) in 2005. Anubhav Som (aka som), teaches at National Institute of Designing(NID) as visiting Faculty. He works as an illustrator for many advertising agencies like Grey World wide ,Lowe Lintas, Ogilvy. Anubhav, does painting (portrait and landscape) and has worked for Ginger group of hotels for their Katra and Chandigarh property as graphic designer.
Q :- My next question was, what is that excites most working at Dunkin or any café?
Ans:- “Studio is a secluded space where not all people are invited, but at public pleaces like this I get opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, I hear them talking, aroma of coffee, a walk, loitering round, ease me out and motivates too. When I get tired seeing Dunkin Staff working hard I get inspiration. I push my self, gather my energy to work again.
Q:- To said you love doing portrait, do you do portrait here? how much do you charge? Ans: “HaHa, I could see this question coming. Yes I do portrait, At Dunkin I do not charge, I do portrait because it gives me opportunity to study features of different faces and it helps me sharpening my skill. Only thing is I do not sign my work unless I am paid. I feel art has many side, art entertains us makes us happy and it communicate.I believe art has come as a gift to me from God, not always but sometime atleast I can share this gift with people to give them happiness.”
My next request was, “May I request you to do a Portrait of mine” ?
He gave a Smile and said “sure I would love to, but it would go as gift.”
