The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date of submission of online fresh admission of all Post Graduate & Under Graduate programmes except MCA/BCA/MP/Certificate up to 30th September, 2019 for the July-2019 session. Details of the IGNOU academic programmes for the July, 2019 session can be accessed from the link http://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/admission/. The prospective learners can apply for Post Graduate & Under Graduate programmes of the University on the official website, informed The Regional Director of IGNOU Regional centre Chandigarh Dr. A.K.Dimri. Last date of submission of ‘online’ admission form for July session was earlier fixed for August, 31st. 

For all those candidates, who have been planning to get admission in any of the IGNOU courses can apply for the same online. Firstly the candidate has to register themselves (if not registered) on the official website i.e onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in. Whereas those who have already registered can simply login with the id- password and fill up the application form for the admission in the July session at Indira Gandhi National Open University for 2019. Also, before filling up the IGNOU admission form, candidates must go through the general instructions, eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc . on the official website. Applicants can also download the complete details of the programmes from the IGNOU website or may contact at Regional Centre office at SCO-208, Sector-14, Panchkula.

IGNOU – MBA & B.Ed. Entrance Test on 27th July, 2019

It is for the information of all the aspirants who intend to go for MBA or B. Ed. Programmes of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) that the entrance test of the University towards admission into these programmes for batch commencing January, 2020 is scheduled for conduct on 27thJuly, 2019 (Morning session). This time the entrance test will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and it will be a Computer Based On-Line entrance test. Registration for the entrance test will be on-line. Aspirants are advised to visit the website of NTA (www.ntaignou.nic.in ) for online submission of the application form. No application form in hard copy will be accepted. The last date of registration is 5th July, 2019

IGNOU June Term Examination 2019 is going to commence from 1st June, 2019 and will conclude on 29th June, 2019.

The students may download the Hall Tickets from the University website (http://www.ignou.ac.in/ or https://ignouhall.ignou.ac.in/HallTickets/HALL0619/Hall0619.asp) and appear in the examination.

Dr Anil Kumar Dimri, Regional Director, IGNOU, Regional Center, Chandigarh said that students are advised to be in possession of the valid Identity Card issued by the University at the time of admission during the examination. IGNOU RC Chandigarh deputed Observers for monitoring examination activities and monitoring team has also been deputed by IGNOU headquarter, New Delhi for the smooth conduct of examination in the region. IGNOU Regional Center Chandigarh established 08 Examination Centers for June TEE 2019 including 03 Exam Centres in Jail at Chandigarh, Patiala and Ambalal for jail inmates.

The mobile phones are not permitted inside the examination hall.

IGNOU, Regional Centre, Chandigarh Organized A Placement Drive on 9th May, 2019

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Regional Centre, Chandigarh organized Placement Drive for the pass out students of Bachelor Degree Programmes which include BA/BCOM/BTS/BSW and some Master Degree Programmes in collaboration with Axis Bank Ltd. at its Regional Centre, SCO – 208, Sector –  14, Panchkula. Students were informed through SMS and their confirmation was also obtained through online Google Form. More than 150 students took interest and registered online for the said placement for Business Development Executive in Axis Bank Ltd. After scrutiny of their applications around 150 students were invited to take part in the placement drive and 91 students reported for placement drive. The HR Team of Axis Bank including Mr. Varun Naagar (Assistant Manager, NIIT Ltd.), Mr. Suryansh and Mr. Rishbh (Cluster Head, Chandigarh) made presentation about the Bank, job profile etc. The students went under several round of screening before final interview. The recruitment team finally selected 16 candidates as Business Development Executive for Axis Bank Ltd. and their training will be held on 11thMay, 2019 at Axis Bank Ltd. Hqrs., New Delhi. Dr. Anil K. Dimri (Regional Director) and Dr. Nurul Hasan (Asstt. Regional Director) of IGNOU provide all the support to Axis Bank Ltd. recruitment team to make the placement initiative successful.
