*Road Committee MC Chandigarh approves major road and infrastructure projects of Rs.*
The 3rd meeting of the Road Committee of the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh was held today under the chairmanship of Sh. Dalip Sharma, Councillor and attended by Committee Members including Smt. Sarabjit Kaur, Sh. Gurcharanjit Singh, Smt. Suman Devi, Smt. Nirmala Devi, Sh. Manaur, Maheshinder Singh Sidhu along with the concerned officers of the Municipal Corporation.
During the meeting, the Committee members asked the concerned officers to start the recarpetting work of roads soon for which the tenders have already been called.
The Committee also reviewed and discussed various development proposals amounting to ₹59.29 lakhs. The key projects considered included:
• Improvement of roads and parking near Army Hospital, Sector 47-A at an estimated cost of Rs. 9.67 lacs.
• Repair of road cuts in Bapu Dham Colony, sector 26 at an estimated cost of Rs. 24.07 lacs.
• Fixing of GI chain link fencing in ABC Centre at Raipur Kalan at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.23 lacs.
• Completion work of the Veterinary Hospital and sick animal building at Gaushala Raipur Kalan at an estimated cost of Rs. 23.32 lacs.
After detailed deliberations, the Committee recommended all works for administrative and technical approval, ensuring their timely execution for the convenience and welfare of the public.
