Panjab University to Host 14thInternational CESI Conference in November 2024
Panjab University is proud to announce its hosting of the 14th Annual International Conference from 22nd– 24th November 2024 of the Comparative Education Society of India (CESI), a constituent body of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies. The Department of Education is organising this conference in collaboration with the Department of Philosophy. The theme of the conference is “State, Market and Civil Society: Rethinking Education for Sustainable Futures”. Prof Satvinderpal Chairperson of The Department of Education and Conference convener said that more than 300 delegates from India and abroad are expected to participate in this conference. The conference will bring together distinguished scholars, researchers, educators, policymakers and stakeholders worldwide to engage in critical discussions on the evolving roles of state institutions, market forces, and civil society in shaping educational policies and practices. It will explore innovative approaches to addressing challenges related to educational access, quality, equity and sustainability in the context of contemporary global dynamics. Key topics of discussion will include the impact of emerging policies on education, strategies for promoting social justice and inclusivity, the role of technology in transforming educational landscapes, and the integration of sustainable development goals into educational frameworks.
