*Chandigarh, June 17:-* In a continued effort to maintain public spaces and ensure unhindered access to common areas for all citizens, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today removed unauthorized fencing and encroachment near House No. 193 in Sector 27A.

Acting on the directions of Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, the engineering team of MCC carried out the operation using JCB machines to dismantle the illegal fencing along the roadside. The encroachment was obstructing public access and posed a hindrance to maintenance and movement, especially during emergency or monsoon-related operations.

The removal is part of MCC’s broader initiative to protect and preserve public spaces across the city. The Municipal Corporation is committed to keeping roads, parks, sidewalks, and other public areas free of unauthorized occupation, ensuring a safe and accessible environment for all residents.
