*Chandigarh, September 26:-*  As part of the ongoing Swachhotsav – Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today organized a comprehensive health checkup camp for Safaimitras and their dependents under the banner of Safaimitra Suraksha Shivir.

The camp was held at Rani Laxmi Bai Mahila Bhawan, Sector 38, and witnessed active participation from sanitation workers and their families.

The camp was inaugurated by Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, in the presence of Sh. Pardeep Kumar, IAS, Special Commissioner, Dr. Inderdeep Kaur, Medical Officer of Health and other senior officials of MCC.

Various health screenings were carried out during the camp, including gynecological checkups, eye examinations, hearing tests, blood pressure and sugar testing and general blood investigations. A team of qualified doctors and paramedical staff ensured a smooth and professional health assessment for all participants.

Speaking on the occasion, MC Commissioner Sh. Amit Kumar emphasized the importance of regular health monitoring for sanitation workers who serve as the backbone of city cleanliness. He further stated that such camps will now be organized regularly to safeguard the health and hygiene of Safaimitras and their families.

The initiative reflects the Corporation’s continued commitment to not just cleaner surroundings but also better quality of life for those who keep our city clean.

The camp received a positive response and was another step forward in making Chandigarh a model city in inclusive urban management and employee welfare.
