*F&CC approves cremation of unclaimed bodies by MCC through LPG crematorium*
*Chandigarh, August 20:-* The Finance and Contract committee of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has accorded approval for various developmental agenda items including cremation of unidentified/unclaimed bodies through LPG crematorium, Sector 25, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.42 lac per year.
The meeting of F&CC was held here today under the Chairmanship of Sh. Kuldeep Kumar, Mayor and attended by Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner and other members of committee namely Smt. Jaswinder Kaur, Sh. Maheshinder Singh Siddhu, Sh. Ram Chander Yadav, Smt. Taruna Mehta and other senior officers of MCC.
The members of committee discussed other various important agenda items in detail and accorded approval for the following:
· Replacement of Gas Genset, Gas Scrubber, Gas Blower & Electrical Panel at 5TPD Bio-Methanation Plant, Industrial Area Ph-I, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 30.87 lacs.
· Construction of RCC pavement between windrow pad and admin block for movement of vehicles and construction of pavement for washing of vehicles at solid waste processing plant, Sector 25 West, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 22.32 lacs
· The Committee discussed the agenda item regarding adjustment of Car Bazaar fees and recommended it to the ensuing meeting of General House for taking final decision.
· Extension in service of hiring of one Chain Dozer for maintenance and upkeep of Dumping Ground at Chandigarh for another one year from 01.10.2024 to 30.09.2025 at an estimated cost of Rs. 33.73 lacs.
· Dismantling of paver blocks, providing and fixing of chequered tiles infront of Showrooms & Booth in Sector 9 & 10 inner market, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 47.91 lacs.
· Special repair of cremation ground of village Sarangpur, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 41.43 lacs.
· Construction of pedestrian path along V-5 road Sector 44 A, B & D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 40.10 lacs.
· Construction of footpath opposite SCO 29-34, Sector 33-D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 11.89 lacs.
· Construction of median on V-4 road Sector 43 & fixing spring post at T-point of V-5 road infront of Annual Garden Sector 44-A, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 14.46 lacs.
· Strengthening of Sewerage system by providing and laying 200mm (8”) i/d SW pipe line along with construction of machine hole Chamber at various locations in Bapudham colony Sector 26, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 46.42 lacs.
· Augmentation of street lights system on roads near Industrial Bank and Citco dhaba Industrial Area, Ph-I, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 31.28 lacs.
· Providing disabled friendly infrastructure in Waste to Wonder Park, Sector 48 & 32, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 32.49 lacs.
· Providing high mast lights and solar lights in Terraced Garden Sector 33, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 45.86 lacs.
· Installation of lights in EWS Colony Ramdarbar, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 33.72 lacs.
· Providing and laying of 4” D.I. Water Supply line from Tubewell pocket 6 (New) to Tubewell No. 2, Mauli Complex in lieu of 4” Cracked PVC Water Supply line, Mauli Jagran, UT, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 36.51 lacs.
· Construction of RCC pavements at 300 TPD Composting Plant Dumping Ground Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 48.14 lacs.
· Up-gradation of front of Market at Sector 30 C & D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 44.96 lacs.
· Providing and fixing of play equipment, in park near House No. 117, Sector 24, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.89 lacs
· Repair, providing/fixing paver block and PCC tile on berm phirni road in village Attawa, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 16.37 lacs
· Special repair of existing sealing wall and providing and fixing fencing the boundary wall of Audit Pool Colony, Sector 41-B, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 8.53 lacs.
· Installation of lights in green belt Sector 31 A/B & C/D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 39.37 lacs.
· Providing and fixing of Pipe Benches, PCC Benches and Huts in various parks, Green Belt and Markets of Sector 34, 35 and 43, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 20.67 lacs.
· Providing new children play equipments in various Park/Green Belt of Sector 31 and 33, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 14.57 lacs
· Revamp of flooring by providing high density Chequered tiles infront of market/showrooms/booths and refixing paver blocks backside SCO’s in market of Sector 41, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 48.03 lacs.
· Special repair of existing sealing wall in Sector 34, 35 and 43, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 8.78 lacs.
· Providing and laying of 200 mm (8”) i/d S.W. pipe line for smooth disposal of Waste Water Generated from various food shops situated at booth market 1 @ 2 along v-4 road sector 42-C, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 26.88 lacs.
· Procurement of 02 No. Standard mobile toilet vans for use at street vending zone Sector 15, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 21.00 lacs.
· Strengthening of storm water drainage network by providing and laying of 300 mm (12”) i/d RCC NP-2 pipe line along with construction of new road guilies and machine holes in back service lane at various location from sector 7 to sector 11, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 45.29 lacs.
· Special repair/maintenance of Community Centre at Maloya Colony, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 24.38 lacs.
· Dismantling, providing and fixing of 60mm thick interlocking paver blocks in phirni road of village Khuda Alisher, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 43.24 lacs.
· Repair of existing paver blocks around the parks in Sector 36, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 31.61 lacs.
· Special repair of damaged streets and footpath in EWS colony, Sector 38-D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 13.77 lacs.
· Repair of cement concrete and pavers tracks in parks, near house no. 738, 904 sport complex of Sector 43, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 34.20 lacs.
· Repair of cement concrete and pavers tracks in parks, near # 1234 and 1241 of sector 34 and park near # 1001, 1108 Topiary park and green belt near market topiary part-II of sector 35, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 44.44 lacs.
· Augmentation of street lights on V3 road 46/49, 47/48 and 45/50, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 49.50 lacs.
· Special repair and maintenance of street lights in Japanese Garden, Sector 31, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 45.59 lacs.
· Special repair of Dhobi Ghat in Sector 15, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 45.33 lacs.
· Providing and fixing 60 mm interlocking paver blocks around boundary wall of DAV School in sector 39-D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.17 lacs.
· Installation of additional light poles on V5 road CD and decorative poles on footpath near #3511, Sector 24, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 28.90 lacs.
· Extension of the contracts for operation and maintenance of the Gaushala situated at Maloya and Sector 45, Chandigarh for further 06 months w.e.f. 01.10.2024 to 31.03.2025 or till finalization of new contract.
· Ex-post facto approval for arranging refreshment during the cricket matches amounting to Rs. 6.75 lacs organized as part of UTCA Gully Cricket league 2024 organized from 26th July to 12th August at Chandigarh.
· The committee accorded approval for sponsorship of Rs. 7.00 lacs for refreshment to the Chandigarh State Athletics Championship 2024-25 scheduled to be held from 23rd to 26th August, 2024.
· Taking over of 60 Ton Wiegh Bridge and 500 KVa Substation from M/s SMS Limited for 300 TPD Composting Plant, Dumping Ground, Dadumajra at an estimated cost of Rs. 23.70 lacs.
· The committee accorded approval for the amended MOU for operation and maintenance of public toilet blocks in various markets, parks/green belts in various sectors, villages and colonies in Chandigarh and recommended to the ensuing General House Meeting for final decision.
