फैक्ट्री में विस्फोट के बाद भीषण आग लग गई। हादसा सुबह 11.30 बजे डबरी बाजार के मुबारिकपुर रामगढ़ रोड पर हुआ।विस्फोट इतना शक्तिशाली था कि आसपास के रिहायशी इलाके के शीशे टूट गए। आसपास के शहरों से फायर ब्रिगेड भी आग पर काबू पाने में लगी हुई थी।

Ministry of Jal Shakti, G.O.I. relaunched the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship (SBSI 2.0) for all NSS/NCC/NYKS volunteers on 6th June, 2019. This internship is a part of Swachh Bharat Gramin Mission where volunteers have to devote minimum 50hours for Swachhata in their respective adoptedvillages. Under this initiative Department of NSS, Panjab University encouraged Volunteers to work in the adopted villages of PU and Campus for the community service based on swachhata theme.
SBSI2.0 is primarily focused on minimizing the usage of plastic and awareness campaigns of its hazardous impacts on the environment. Another important aspect of the internship is the segregation of dry and wet waste starting from the households to its dumping site and helping villagers in the development of compost pit. Enrolled NSS Volunteers of Panjab University are working for Swachh Bharat Summer Internship since 15th June, 2019 which is going to last upto 31st July, 2019 under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Navdeep Sharma, NSS coordinator, Panjab University. Panjab University has generated the web link to register volunteers for SBSI 2.0 and also working to create online link for internship report submission. One of NSS volunteer team from Panjab University registered themselves as a team namely “We Mean C.A.G (CLEAN & GREEN)” led by Binesh Bhatia, State Awardee of SBSI, 2018 from PU Campus. This team is working hard in two shifts with volunteers of PU tomake Swachhata as a “Jan Andolan” in adopted village of Dhanas, Khuda Lhora and PU campus.
NSS volunteers of Panjab University have been performing Nukkad Natak on streets and in slum areas of Dhanas, organising various rallies on cleanliness & waste segregation (dry/wet) and awareness sessions on Menstrual Hygiene, e-waste under Solid Waste Management, Water Conservation in the adopted village of Dhanas and PU campus on regular basis. Volunteers in their Swachhata campaign drives are suggesting households to develop the compost pits in their near by area for kitchen gardening. As per information conveyed by Dhanas villager, NSS volunteers are promoting clean and hygienic environment for the Dhanas villagers.
PU Volunteers have also started the campaign for collecting the plastic bottles with the contribution of GMSSS, Dhanas students. Volunteers have installed bins for waste plastic bottles as a collection point in the classrooms itself. School students can make volunteer contribution in the collection of plastic bottles from their respective houses, canteen, shops in village to donate the same in their school bin and help the interns to work on best out of plastic waste. For their great team work on field and motivating school children to reduce the plastic usage, there work has been well appreciated by School Principle Mrs. Seema Rani and Vice Principle Mr. Ramesh Kumar of GMSSS, Dhanas. Mr. Ramesh added that volunteers are working in a school like one works for their own home.

A tree plantation drive was organized at the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences(UIAMS), Panjab University(PU), here today as a part of Green initiative taken up by the Horticulture Department of PU in collaboration with Natural Biodiversity group and Rotary Chandigarh Midtown. The function was presided over by Prof. Upasna Joshi Sethi, Director, University Institute of Applied Management Sciences, PU. Rotaract Chandigarh Midtown sponsored 30 saplings to be planted in the green area surrounding UIAMS. The initiative was supported by the Natural Biodiversity group represented by Dr. Arun Bansal and S.Navtej Singh. Faculty, staff, and students of UIAMS actively participated in the plantation initiative. All these 30 plants have been adopted by the faculty and staff members of UIAMS, and they pledged to take care of these plants to ensure their survival.

Induction Programme for New Students started in UIHTM 2nd Day – 10 July 2019 University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), Panjab University, Chandigarh started induction programme for newly admitted students of Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) 1st Semester and Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM)1st semester students on 9th July 2019.
On second day, Major Daksh Nakra (Head – Northern India, Bird Academy), told students about the latest trends and growth taking place in the aviation sector. He informed students about the increase in the number of functional airports in India and thus increased skilled manpower requirement in the same sector. Later Students got a chance to interact with Mr. Anmol Luthra ( Head- Sales, Park Plaza, Zirakpur) and Ms. Nancy (HR Manager, Park Plaza, Zirakpur) where new students got to know about the industrial expectations and the critical areas where students should work hard in their respective areas of interest. On World Population Day, Population Research Centre, Panjab University Chandigarh is organizing a Two Days Training of Trainers on new portal of Health Management Information System (HMIS) from July, 11-12, 2019 at ICSSR seminar hall. The objective of the training is to strengthen the capacity of National Health Mission staff. About 60 participants from different fields like Medical, Management, Public Health, and Social Sciences from state of Punjab and Chandigarh are participating in this training. Experts from World Health Organization (WHO) and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India will train the trainers on new indicators of the HMIS. The Vice chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar will inaugurate.

The Department of Geography, Panjab University, Chandigarh has been awarded a prestigious collaborative research project tilted “Capacity Building for Policy and Planning in Kenya, Tanzania and India: A Focus on Food Systems and Urban Growth Management” under the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships Program. The project carries an award of CAN $298,000 (more than Rs. 1.5 crore). The project is in partnership with the University of Fraser Valley Abbotsford Canada, University of Nairobi, Kenya and Ardhi University, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Under this project, 4 students from the Department of Geography will visit Canada for 3 months each over 2 years starting from September 2019 until Summer 2021 and their visit and stay will be fully funded under the project. The Coordinator of the project is Prof. Dhian Kaur of Department of Geography. Dr. Simrat Kahlon, Chairperson of the Department is also involved in the project.

मुख्य सचिव केसनी आनंद अरोड़ा ने वीडियो कॉफ्रेंसिंग से की विभिन्न परियोजनाओं के कार्य प्रगति की समीक्षा
जल सरंक्षण को लेकर केंद्र सरकार द्वारा जल शक्ति अभियान चलाया गया है। सभी उपायुक्त इस अभियान के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन के लिए प्लान तैयार करें और इस संबंध में प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय(पीएमओ) से आने वाली टीम के साथ बेहतर तालमेल स्थापित कर उन्हें आवश्यक सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाएं।
ये निर्देश हरियाणा की मुख्य सचिव केसनी आनंद अरोड़ा ने आज वीडियो कॉफ्रेंस के माध्यम से मेरी फसल-मेरा ब्यूरा, बीपीएल सर्वे, जल शक्ति अभियान, बाढ़ नियंत्रण प्रबंधन आदि परियोजनाओं के कार्यों की प्रगति की समीक्षा करते हुए सभी जिला उपायुक्तों को संबोधित करते हुए दिए। यहां लघुसचिवालय स्थित एनआईसी रूम में उपायुक्त अशोक कुमार गर्ग, एसडीएम ऐलनाबाद अमित कुमार, नगर परिषद सीईओ जयवीर यादव, डीआरओ राजेंद्र सिंह, डीडीपीओ कुलभूषण बंसल सहित संंबंधित अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि जल सरंक्षण बहुत ही जरूरी है और इस दिशा में सभी को अपना सहयोग करना होगा। केंद्र सरकार ने इसी कड़ी में जल शक्ति अभियान चलाया है, जिसके लिए प्रदेश के 19 जिलों को चिन्हित किया गया है। अभियान का पहला चरण 15 सितंबर तक चलेगा। अभियान के सफल संचालन के लिए केंद्र की ओर से संयुक्त सचिव के नेतृत्व में जिला वाईज टीम जा रही है। उन्होंने सभी उपायुक्त को कहा कि वे उनके जिला में आने वाले संयुक्त सचिव के साथ बेहतर कोर्डिनेशन बनाते हुए अभियान को प्रभावी रूप से सफल बनाएं। इसके लिए पहले से प्लान तैयार कर लें और उसे पोर्टल पर अपलोड कर दें। उन्होंने कहा कि जल शक्ति अभियान की सफलता के लिए जरूरी है कि इसमें अधिक से अधिक लोगों की भागीदारी सुनिश्चित की जाए, विशेषकर सरपंच, नंबरदार, एनजीओ आदि को साथ में जोड़ें। इसके लिए सरपंच व नंबरदार के साथ बैठक कर उन्हें जागरूक करें।
मुख्य सचिव ने मेरी फसल-मेरा ब्यूरा की समीक्षा करते हुए कहा कि इस कार्य को मुख्यमंत्री स्वयं देख रहे हैं और इसके प्रति गंभीर है। इसलिए मेरी फसल-मेरा ब्यूरा पर 25 जुलाई तक डाटा फीड कर दें। उन्होंने कहा कि इस कार्य के लिए एनआईसी को ट्रेनिंग दी जाए ताकि वे आगे सीएससी को इस बारे प्रशिक्षित कर सकें। उन्होंने कहा कि मेरी फसल-मेरा ब्यूरा का मुख्य उद्ेश्य उत्पादन क्षमता का पता लगाने के साथ-साथ फसल की सही-सही जानकारी एकत्रित करना है। किसानों को इस बारे जागरूक करें, ताकि वे स्वयं पोर्टल पर अपनी जानकारी डाल सकें। इसके लिए किसान को प्रति रजिस्ट्रेशन 10 रुपये दिए जाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि इस कार्य के लिए पटवारी, कृषि विकास अधिकारी, ग्राम सचिव आदि की टीमें बनाकर उन्हें ऐरिया अनुसार भेजेें और समय-समय पर इनसे रिपोर्ट लें। उन्होंने कहा कि 5 अगस्त से 5 सितंबर तक ई-गिरदावरी की जाएगी। बिना ई-गिरदावरी के कोई गिरदावरी नहीं होगी। सभी को टेबलेट उपलब्ध करवा दिए गए हैं, यदि किसी को टेबलेट की आवश्यकता है, तो उस बारे अवगत करवाएं।
उन्होंने बीपीएल सर्वे कार्य की प्रगति की समीक्षा करते हुए कहा कि सभी जिलों की ओर से इस दिशा में निर्धारित लक्ष्य के अनुरूप कार्य नहीं किया जा रहा है। मुख्यमंत्री स्वयं इस कार्य की समीक्षा कर रहे हैं, इसलिए अधिकारी जल्द से जल्द बीपीएल सर्वे कार्य को पूरा करें, ताकि इस संबंध में अंतिम लिस्ट जारी की जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि सर्वे उपरांत जो फार्म स्वीकृत हो चुके हैं, उन्हें मुख्यालय के पोर्टल पर उपलोड करें। उन्होंने इस कार्य को रविवार तक पूरा करने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने बाढ नियंत्रण के संबंध में किए गए प्रबंधों व कार्यों के प्रगति की भी समीक्षा करते हुए अधिकारियों को आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश दिए।
उपायुक्त अशोक कुमार गर्ग ने मुख्य सचिव को बताया कि जल शक्ति अभियान को लेकर टीम बना दी गई है और कल पीएमओ से ज्वाईंट सके्रटरी के नेतृत्व में टीम यहां पहुंचेगी। उन्होंने बताया कि जल शक्ति अभियान को लेकर बनाए गए प्लान को पोर्टल पर अपलोड कर दिया गया है। इस संबंध में सरपंचों के साथ एक बैठक भी की जा चुकी है। उन्होंने बाढ नियंत्रण के संबंध में कार्यों की जानकारी देते हुए बताया जिला की 16 ड्रेनों में से 12 को मनरेगा के तहत साफ करवा दिया गया है तथा दो को जल्द ही साफ करवा दिया जाएगा। शॉर्ट टर्म के सभी तीनों कार्य पूर्ण किए जा चुके हैं।
