The second day of the seven days’ National Seminar-cum-Workshop on Inclusion: Moving Forward from 19th to 25th August 2019, organized by Centre for Academic Leadership and Education Management (CALEM), Department of Education, PU, Chandigarh in collaboration with Government Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disabilities (GRIID) was initiated by Prof. Kuldeep Kaur who chaired the session and also introduced the resource person for the first technical session Dr. Wasim Ahmad, Assistant Professor, GRIID.
Dr. Ahmed dwelled on the need and importance of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). He also emphasized that UDL can eliminate the barriers in the curriculum and can benefit all the learners, not only those with special needs.
The second session entitled, “Reflection on Inclusion from the perspectives of RTE 2009, RPWD 2016 and DNEP 2019 by Prof. Virendra Kumar, former Dean, Faculty of Laws, PU. He initiated the talk through an article titled “Over the teachers” published in the Indian Express, wherein he deliberated upon the idea of how education could be used or is being used as a powerful tool for bringing about Inclusive Social Order.

Prof. Sudesh Mukhopadhyay, former Chairperson of Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) spoke intensively about the accommodations for being responsive and inclusive. She highlighted the difference between modification and accommodation and also emphasized how accommodation could help special kids to learn the same material
which allows them to meet the expectations of the mainstream.
Dr. Himangshu Dass, Director, National Institute for Empowerment of Person with Multiple Disabilities, Chennai wherein he shared his experiences and highlighted the various experiments on inclusion in India.
All the sessions were very interactive and evoked pertinent questions by the participants which were explicated vividly by the experts. The sessions of day two concluded with the vote of thanks to all the resource persons by the program coordinator Prof. Raj K. Gupta.

Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh met Sh. Somparkash Kainth, Union Minister of State (Commerce & Industry), today at New Delhi. He discussed various proposals regarding sanction of Developmental Grant for the upliftment of existing infrastructure to meet the contemporary developmental needs of this heritage institution of higher education. He also informed him that PU is most sought after University for North Eastern students and PU is considering special facilities for the same for which, extra grants are required. The Minister assured of all help.

पंचकूला, 20 अगस्त-
मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहरलाल 21 अगस्त को पंचकूला में 92 करोड 27 लाख रुपये की विकास परियोजनाओं का शिलान्यास और उद्घाटन करेंगे।
विधायक ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री इस दिन ताउ देवीलाल खेल परिसर सेक्टर 3 में 13.44 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से निर्मित संस्थागत खेल परिसर का उद्घाटन करेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री 3.4 करोड रुपये की लागत से निर्मित जेल मुख्यालय के विस्तार भवन का उद्घाटन भी करेंगे। इसी दिन मुख्यमंत्री 6.35 करोड रुपये की लागत से खंगेसरा जसवंतगढ संपर्क सडक मार्ग का शिलान्यास भी करेंगे। मुख्यमंत्री टोका से खटौली खंड सड़क को चैडा और मजबूत करने के कार्य का शिलान्यास करेंगे। इस पर 8.96 करोड रुपये की राशि खर्च होगी। मुख्यमंत्री पंचकूला में सार्वजनिक साईकिल शेयरिंग प्रणाली की स्थापना और संचालन कार्य का भी शुभारंभ करेंगे। इस परियोजना की अनुमानित लागत 2.09 करोड़ रुपये है।

उन्होंने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री सेक्टर 21 पंचकूला के सामुदायिक केंद्र भवन का शिलान्यास करेंगे। इस परियोजना की लागत 5.47 करोड रुपये है। इसी प्रकार सेक्टर 24 के पार्क विकास परियोजना का शिलान्यास भी होगा और इसकी लागत 8.80 करोड रुपये है। सेक्टर 3 पंचकूला में नगर निगम कार्यालय भवन का शिलान्यास भी किया जायेगा। इस परियोजना की अनुमानित लागत 45.43 करोड है।
विधायक श्रीमती लतिका शर्मा ने बताया कि मुख्यमंत्री इस दिन कालाक विधानसभा क्षेत्र के 47 गांवों के पशु पालकों की सुविधा के लिये मिल्क चिलिंग सेंटर का शिलान्यास भी करेंगे। इस सेंटर का निर्माण हरियाणा डेयरी डवैल्पमैंट काॅपरेटिव फेडरेशन लिमिटिड द्वारा किया जायेगा और इसकी अनुमानित लागत 1.80 करोड रुपये है।

इस कार्यक्रम में पिंजौर क्षेत्र की नवजन्मी बच्चियों, माताओं के स्वास्थ्य की जांच के लिये स्वास्थ्य शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। शिविर में दवाइयों के साथ साथ महिलाओं को स्वास्थ्य के प्रति भी जागरूक किया गया। इस मौके पर आंगनवाॅडी कार्यकर्ताओं की मेहंदी, रेस्पी, बैस्ट आउट आॅफ वेस्ट प्रतियोगिता भी करवाई गई। महिलाओं को घर में उपलब्ध अनाज से पोष्टिक आहार तैयार करने की जानकारी दी गई और उन्हें रेस्पी बुक भी उपलब्ध करवाई गई। विधायक ने नवजन्मी बच्चियों को उपहार भी दिये।
विधायक ने इस मौके पर कहा कि बेटियां किसी भी क्षेत्र में बेटों से कम नहीं है। उन्होंने कहा कि बेटियों को अच्छी परिवरिश और शिक्षा दी जानी चाहिए। उन्होनंे कहा कि बेटियों में आंतरक्षि, राजनीति, प्रशासन, शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, खेल सहित हर क्षेत्र में देश का नाम रोशन किया है। इस कार्यक्रम में महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग की जिला कार्यक्रम अधिकारी जोगिंद्रकौर, खंड बाल विकास परियोजना अधिकारी आरू वशिष्ठ ने विभाग की योजनाओं की जानकारी दी।

मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहरलाल 21 अगस्त को दोपहर 2 बजे रेड बिशप पंचकूला में बीपीएल कार्ड वितरण के राज्य स्तरीय समारोह के मुख्यातिथि होंगे। इस कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता खाद्य नागरिक आपूर्ति एवं उपभोक्ता मामले के राज्यमंत्री कर्णदेव कंबोज करेंगे।
उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि पूरे प्रदेश में 57 हजार नये बीपीएल राशन कार्ड बनाये गये है और पंचकूला में ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के 455 व शहरी क्षेत्र के 72 नये बीपीएल परिवारों को सूची में शामिल किया गया है। उन्होंने बताया कि हरियाणा में कुल 863319 बीपीएल परिवार है और इस वर्ष ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में जिला ग्रामीण विकास अभिकरण तथा शहरी क्षेत्र में शहरी स्थानीय निकाय विभाग द्वारा सर्वें करके 57 हजार नये परिवारों को इस सूची में शामिल किया गया है। उन्होंने बताया कि समारोह के दौरान लाभार्थियों के परिवार पहचान पत्र के फार्म भी भरें जायेंगे और विभिन्न विभागों द्वारा विभाग की योजनाओं पर आधारित स्टाल भी लगायें जायेंगे। इस कार्यक्रम में मुख्यमंत्री विभिन्न जिलों के बीपीएल लाभपात्रों से वीडियों कांफ्रेंस के माध्यम से संवाद भी करेंगे।

राष्ट्रीय सद्भावना दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में आज जिला प्रशासन द्वारा लघु सचिवालय के बैठक हाल में सद्भावना दिवस का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने उपस्थित अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों को सद्भावना दिवस की शपथ दिलवाई।
उपायुक्त ने कहा कि आज का दिन यह संकल्प लेने का दिन है कि हम आपसी मतभेदों का समाधान संवैधानिक तरीके से और परस्पर बातचीत करके निकालें। उन्होंने कहा कि समाज में जाति, सम्प्रदाय, क्षेत्र, धर्म और भाषा के आधार पर भेदभाव नहीं होना चाहिए। किसी भी विवाद का समाधान हिंसा के माध्यम से नहीं होना चाहिए क्योंकि यह एक स्वस्थ और संवैधानिक माध्यम नहीं है। उन्होंने कहां कि प्रत्येक भारतवासी को क्षेत्र, धर्म, जाति और सम्प्रदाय की भावना से उपर उठकर देश की भावनात्मक एकता और सद्भावना में सहयोग करना चाहिए।

आज सेक्टर 40 B के सरकारी स्कूल में बच्चों के लिए एक जागरूकता अभियान का आयोजन किया गया। जिस में आटे, जों, राई और अन्य खाद्य पदार्थों में पाये जाने वाले ग्लूटेन प्रोटीन को ना पचा पाने से होने वाली बीमारी “सिलिएक” के बारे में बताया गया। इस अभियान में शहर के मेयर श्री राजेश कुमार, स्थानीय पार्षद श्रीमती गुरबक्श रावत, स्कूल की प्रिन्सिपल श्रीमती सरबजीत कौर व स्कूल मैनज्मेंट ने भाग लिया।
