राष्ट्रीय सद्भावना दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में आज जिला प्रशासन द्वारा लघु सचिवालय के बैठक हाल में सद्भावना दिवस का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में उपायुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहूजा ने उपस्थित अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों को सद्भावना दिवस की शपथ दिलवाई।
उपायुक्त ने कहा कि आज का दिन यह संकल्प लेने का दिन है कि हम आपसी मतभेदों का समाधान संवैधानिक तरीके से और परस्पर बातचीत करके निकालें। उन्होंने कहा कि समाज में जाति, सम्प्रदाय, क्षेत्र, धर्म और भाषा के आधार पर भेदभाव नहीं होना चाहिए। किसी भी विवाद का समाधान हिंसा के माध्यम से नहीं होना चाहिए क्योंकि यह एक स्वस्थ और संवैधानिक माध्यम नहीं है। उन्होंने कहां कि प्रत्येक भारतवासी को क्षेत्र, धर्म, जाति और सम्प्रदाय की भावना से उपर उठकर देश की भावनात्मक एकता और सद्भावना में सहयोग करना चाहिए।

आज सेक्टर 40 B के सरकारी स्कूल में बच्चों के लिए एक जागरूकता अभियान का आयोजन किया गया। जिस में आटे, जों, राई और अन्य खाद्य पदार्थों में पाये जाने वाले ग्लूटेन प्रोटीन को ना पचा पाने से होने वाली बीमारी “सिलिएक” के बारे में बताया गया। इस अभियान में शहर के मेयर श्री राजेश कुमार, स्थानीय पार्षद श्रीमती गुरबक्श रावत, स्कूल की प्रिन्सिपल श्रीमती सरबजीत कौर व स्कूल मैनज्मेंट ने भाग लिया।

Chandigarh, August 20:- The weekly ward level meeting of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh was held under the Chairmanship of Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Mayor of Chandigarh which was attended by councilors namely Smt. Heera Negi, Smt. Ravinder Kaur, Sh. Rajesh Gupta, Smt. Asha Jaswal, Sh. Devinder Singh Babla, Sh. Dalip Sharma. Of Ward no. 13,15,16,17,18 and 19 respectively.
During the meeting, Sh. Manoj Kumar Bansal, Chief Engineer, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers and other Concerned officers were present. The meeting following issues of ward wise discussed in details:
Ward-13
– Patches on jogging track in the parks be checked and repaired.
– Boundary wall in sector 63 be checked and repaired.
– Water leakage on v5 road in sector 49-D be checked and resolved.
– Water leakage on Back side of Santoshi Mata Mandir be checked and repaired
– Fountains in green belt be checked and repaired.
– Footpath in neighborhood park in colony be checked and repaired.
Ward-15
– Water logging in Sector 35 market and 34 be checked and resolved.
– Old dark spot be checked and appropriate steps be taken.

यह जानकारी देते हुए उपायुक्त अशोक कुमार गर्ग ने बताया कि सिरसा जिला में नए बीपीएल राशन कार्डों के वितरण हेतु सरकार द्वारा यह कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया जा रहा है जिसके माध्यम से मुख्यमंत्री बीपीएल लाभार्थियों से वीडियो कॉफ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से बातचीत करेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि सिरसा जिले के बीपीएल कार्ड पंचायत भवन में वितरित किए जाएंगे। डबवाली उपमंडल के लाभार्थियों के कार्ड किसान भवन डबवाली में एसडीएम डबवाली की अध्यक्षता, ऐलनाबाद के पीआर केन्द्र ऐलनाबाद में एसडीएम ऐलनाबाद की अध्यक्षता, कालांवाली के बीपीएल कार्ड उपमंडल अधिकारी नागरिक कार्यालय कालांवाली में सीईओ जिला परिषद कालांवाली तथा रानियां के बीपीएल कार्ड पीआर केन्द्र रानियां में तहसीलदार की अध्यक्षता में वितरित किए जाएंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि उपरोक्त सभी स्थानों पर जिला खाद्य एवं आपूर्ति विभाग द्वारा परिवार पहचान पत्र के फार्म भी वितरित किए जाएंगे।

यह बात महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग की जिला कार्यक्रम अधिकारी डा. दर्शना सिंह ने आज अपने कार्यालय कक्ष में पोषण अभियान के तहत जिला संसाधन समूह की कार्यशाला को संबोधित करते हुए कही। इस अवसर पर स्वास्थ्य विभाग से डा. गौरव भी मौजूद थे।

उन्होंने कहा कि पोषण अभियान का शुभारंभ प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने मार्च 2018 में राजस्थान के झुंझुन से किया था। इस अभियान के द्वारा कुपोषण की शिकार तथा एनीमिया से पीडि़त महिलायें लाभान्वित हो रहीं हैं। यह अभियान कुपोषण को समाप्त करने के लिए एक बड़ा कदम है। उन्होंने बताया कि पोषण अभियान के तहत 19 व 20 अगस्त को जिला रिसोर्स समूह की ट्रेनिंग करवाई गई है। यह कार्यक्रम इंक्रीमेंटल लर्निंग अप्रोच पर आधारित है। इस प्रशिक्षण का मुख्य उद्देश्य गांव स्तर पर आंगनवाड़ी वर्कर व आंगनवाड़ी हैल्पर के माध्यम से लोगों को कुपोषण व एनीमिया के बारे में जागरूक करना है।
इस अवसर पर सभी खण्डों की महिला एवं बाल विकास परियोजना अधिकारी, सुपरवाईजर, आंगनवाड़ी ट्रेनिंग इंस्ट्रक्टर शांति देवी, जिला व खंड कॉर्डिनेटर व खंड सहायक भी उपस्थित थे।

A Tree Plantation drive was organised in Women Hostel No.6 (Mother Teresa Hall) in its premises under the guidance of Sh. Anil Thakur, Deputy Executive Engineer (Horticulture), Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Prof. Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare and Prof. Neena Caplash, Dean Student Welfare (W) planted the trees in the hostel alongwith the warden, Dr. Namita Gupta, staff members and residents. The wardens of other hostels were also present on this moment.

Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh motivated the students to stay focussed and determined to achive their goals while speaking during a formal orientation day programme being organized by University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET), PU as a part of their three weeks ongoing Induction Programme. He also promised the young budding minds to open a new venture in the university that would be beneficial for their academic and personal growth.
Prof. Dheera Sanghi, Director PEC, Chandigarh shared his widespread leadership experiences with the students that would help them to conquer their goals.
Prof. Savita Gupta, Director UIET informed that several activities like Yoga, meditation, marathon are being organised for their physical, mental and spiritual growth during the three weeks programme.
Panjab University, Chandigarh has granted a special chance to all those candidates who are having re-appear in one subject and despite of available chances, ineligible to complete their degree are allowed to appear in this special exam for all U.G. & P.G. courses to be held in August- September 2019, with examination fee of Rs. 2500/- to be applied by 30.8.2019 All Examination forms are to be submitted online through ugexam.puchd.ac.in & pgexam.puchd.ac.in.
Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, expressed his satisfaction at the spurt in writing skills of students now-a-days. Talking to the gathering on the occasion of the release of Jawan Tarang, annual magazine of the Dept. of Youth Welfare, P.U. Chandigarh, he said that literature is the mirror of society, and the expression of the youth on social and current issues is a sign of an alert and receptive mind. He lauded the efforts of the department in initiating the task of publishing the work of participants in the youth festival in the categories of essay, story and poem writing. Prof. Raj Kumar said that a complete education should help students to hone their skills in the field of art, literature, theatre and music. Every student must be given a chance to express himself. Such a manifestation gives a vent to one’s dreams and aspirations and also acts as a safety valve in the stressful and competitive world that youngsters have to deal with.

Dr. Nirmal Jaura, Director, Youth Welfare said the publishing of Jawan Tarang is a step to compile and preserve the creative work of students for posterity. It also gives students a feeling of recognition to see their articles and stories in print. Often, writing is a neglected field and youngsters are hesitant to give form to their ideas. He revealed that Jawan Tarang, which is in the sixth year of publication, has received an overwhelming response in the affiliated colleges of Panjab University, and has helped more students to pick up their pens and dip them in the ink of imagination. Editor of the issue, Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Principal, Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana expressed her delight on the release of the magazine and thanked all the staff editors for their support in the editing and printing process of this issue .
