The applicants are required to bring all the original documents, a hard copy of the online Admission Form along with the testimonials at the time of Counselling.

Panjab University, Chandigarh will conduct Punjab State B.Ed. Entrance Examination on Sunday, 21st July, 2019 for admission to B.Ed. course (session 2019—21) in B.Ed. Colleges affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and Punjabi University, Patiala.
18600 candidates will be appearing in this entrance test for which 50 examination centres have been created in all the districts of Punjab State. All necessary arrangements have been made and eleven teams are put on job for the smooth conduct of the test.
Prof. Parvinder Singh, Controller of Examinations and Dr. Jatinder Grover, Coordinator are coordinating the examination activities. All centres have been sent the necessary instructions and staff is assigned duties for the purpose. E-admit cards have been issued. Observers and Flying Squads are deputed to visit all the examination centres. Local administration will provide necessary assistance to all the examination centres for maintaining law and order in the respective districts.
The duration of exam is from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm and there is no negative marking. Candidates are advised to reach the centre half an hour before the start of the exam alongwith e-admit card and photo identity. Mobile/pager/electronic gadget are not allowed in the examination centre. Candidates are further advised to take away the carbon copy of the OMR for their reference.
The tentative date of declaration of the result is 29.07.2019. For further assistance helpline cell and main control room is set up in Panjab University. The Controller of Examinations/Coordinator (B.Ed. Entrance Test) can be contacted at landline No. 01722541825, mobile No. 8427297000.

Prof. A.S. Ahluwalia, Dr. Jatinder Grover, Prof. D.B. Rai and Dr. Jaskaran Singh Waraich shared their experiences and told students that planted many trees during their tenure.
Prof. Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare, PU also advised the residents to adopt the plants and tree in their premises for further care.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा गरीब और जरूरतमंद लोगो के लिये आरंभ की गई आयुषमान भारत प्रधानमंत्री जनआरोग्य योजना वरदान साबित हो रही है। उन्होंने बताया कि इस योजना के तहत पंचकूला जिला के 669 गरीब लोगों को इलाज पर 66.64 लाख रुपये खर्च की जा चुकी है।
पंचकूला विधायक एवं मुख्य सचेतक ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि इस योजना में शामिल परिवारों को वर्ष में पांच लाख रुपये तक की मुफ्त इलाज की सुविधा प्रदान की जाती है। उन्होंने बताया कि इस योजना के लाभपात्र पैनल में शामिल राजकीय और निजी अस्पतालों में अपना मुफ्त इलाज करवा सकते है। पंचकूला जिला में सिविल अस्पताल सेक्टर-6, मदर टेरेसा साकेत अस्पताल सेक्टर-1, सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र कालका और रायुपररानी के साथ साथ 11 निजी अस्पतालों को भी आयुषमान भारत योजना के पेनल में शामिल किया गया है। लाभपात्र को स्वास्थ्य सेवायें लेने के लिये इन अस्पतालों मे कोई पैसा देने की आवश्यकता नहीं होती, केवल योजना के तहत जारी किया गया गोल्डन ई-कार्ड दिखाना होता है।

The Department of Biochemistry, Panjab University celebrated “Plastic free July 2019” by carrying out various outreach activities and awareness campaign at the GSSS Khuda Lahora. Prof. Archana Bhatnagar, Chairperson, highlighted that nearly ten billion plastic has been produced globally and ninety percent of that has never been recycled! This triggered the students of the department to meet school children so as to make them aware of harmful impact of plastic on environment by encouraging them to refuse plastic to create a clean and green city. The school children participated actively and promised to consciously work to reduce single-use items. This was done by way of quiz, sensitization of girl students towards biodegradable sanitary napkins which were also donated to the underprivileged girls by students. The program ended with tree plantation and tree adoption by teachers and students.
