The Directorate of Sports, Panjab University, Chandigarh is organizing one 
month Free Yoga camp as per the past practices since the beginning of International Day of Yoga at Panjab University Shooting Range, Chandigarh.


Prof. Karamjeet Singh, Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh was the chief guest during the inauguration of the One Month Free Yoga Camp. Prof. Karamjeet spoke about the significance of Yoga Meditation and pranayama in individual’s life. Further he explained through practicing yoga one can attach 3D’s in life i.e Discipline, Dedication and Determination for becoming an excellent human being. Prof. Karamjeet Singh on behalf of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar appreciated the efforts of the Sports Department and congratulated Dr. Parminder Singh and entire team for this initiative. 

 The expert yoga trainers for the Camp are Mr. Raman Kumar, Dr. Neeru Malik, the team of Himalayan Yogis. On this occasion Dr. Thingnam Nandalal Singh, Chairperson Deptt of Phy. Edu., Dr. Neeru Malik (Fellow PU), the coaches and staff of sports department were present. 

More than 200 participants performed yoga. The camp will conclude with the celebration of International Day of Yoga on 21st June, 2019 at Panjab University, Chandigarh.

School of Communication Studies at Panjab University, Chandigarh is set to 
begin two new diploma courses from the 2019-2020 session. A Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication and another in Radio Production will have 25 seats each. The department is already running a diploma in Advertising and Public Relations in addition to the Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication.

The media industry is seeing a boom thanks to the shift online; news portals and web based television and radio channels have opened a new avenue for budding journalists. The spurt in radio channels, both commercial and community has also led to job creation in the arena. 

The department is well equipped to provide the students with practical know how of the industry; it runs Panjab University’s Community Radio Station since 2011 and has now established a Television studio which will be functional from the upcoming session.

पंचकुला में टाउन पार्क, सेक्टर 5 में एक विशेष योग सत्र का आयोजन किया गया। योग गुरु श्री सुरिंदर वर्मा जी ने प्राणायाम, आसन, स्वस्थ आहार, उच्च रक्तचाप, मधुमेह और स्वस्थ जीवन शैली के बारे में पूरी जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि कोई व्यक्ति योग को एक घंटा देता है, तो वह स्वस्थ और तनाव मुक्त जीवन जीता है। छात्र अध्ययन पर अधिक एकाग्रता रखते हैं, यदि वे सुबह योग करते हैं और अध्ययन में सर्वोत्तम परिणाम प्राप्त करते हैं।

Google ने डूडल के साथ ICC कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत की

गूगल ने गुरुवार को इंग्लैंड में ICC क्रिकेट विश्व कप 2019 की शुरुआत डूडल बनाकर की।

दस टीमें एक महीने तक चलने वाले टूर्नामेंट में एक-दूसरे के साथ भिड़ेंगी जो 14 जुलाई को अपने फाइनल का आयोजन करेगी।

टूर्नामेंट के पहले मैच में मेजबान इंग्लैंड का सामना दक्षिण अफ्रीका से होगा।

 चुनाव आचार संहिता खत्म होते ही पुलिस अधीक्षक फतेहपुर कैलाश सिंह ने प्रशासनिक आधार पर बुधवार को उप निरीक्षकों में फेरबदल किया है।

पुलिस अधीक्षक के पीआरओ ने बताया कि केशव प्रसाद वर्मा एसएसआई बिंदकी को ललौली का थानाध्यक्ष बनाया गया है।

ललौली थानाध्यक्ष राजेश मौर्य को बिन्दकी का एसएसआई नियुक्त किया है। इसी तरह आबू नगर कोतवाली फतेहपुर के चौकी प्रभारी संदीप कुमार तिवारी को हुसैनगंज की भिटौरा पुलिस चौकी तथा राजीव कमल पांडे को जहानाबाद थाने भेजा गया है। 

इस कार्रवाई से पुलिस महकमे में अफरा-तफरी का माहौल बना रहा कि आचार संहिता खत्म होने के बाद कब किसका स्थानांतरण हो जाए पता नहीं।

उपायुक्त डाॅ0 बलकार सिंह जिला सचिवालय के कांफ्रेंस हाल में प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना की जिला स्तरीय निगरानी समिति की बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए।

उपायुक्त डाॅ0 बलकार सिंह ने कृषि विभाग और प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना से जुड़ी बीमा कंपनियों को निर्देश दिये कि वे किसानों की लंबित क्लेम राशि एक सप्ताह में उनके खाते में डालना सुनिश्चित करें। 

उपायुक्त डाॅ0 बलकार सिंह ने कृषि विभाग और प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा योजना से जुड़ी बीमा कंपनियों को निर्देश दिये कि वे किसानों की लंबित क्लेम राशि एक सप्ताह में उनके खाते में डालना सुनिश्चित करें। 

कृषि विभाग के उपनिदेशक वजीर सिंह ने बताया कि खरीफ सीजन 2018 में स्थानीय आपदाओं से फसलों का नुकसान होने के संबंध में किसानों के 374 आवेदन प्राप्त हुए थे। इनमें से ओरेंटल इंसोरेंश कंपनी द्वारा 331 किसानों को एक करोड़ रूपये की क्लेम राशि का भुगतान किया जा चुका है। स्थानीय आपदाओं के अतिरिक्त बीमा कंपनी द्वारा औसत पैदावार के आधार पर किसानों के 43 लाख रूपये की क्लेम राशि दी गई है। उन्होंने बताया कि इस सीजन में बीमा कंपनी द्वारा अभी तक 17 किसानों को क्लेम राशि नहीं दी गई है। इसके अलावा 26 ऐसे किसान है, जिनके क्लेम बैंकों द्वारा भारत सरकार के पोर्टल पर पंजीकृत नहीं किये गये थे, इन मामलों में बैंकों द्वारा स्वयं क्लेम का भुगतान किया जाना है। 

उन्होंने बताया कि रबी सीजन 2018-19 में फसलों के स्थानीय आपदाओं के नुकसान के क्लेम के लिये 467 किसानों ने आवेदन किया हुआ है। उपायुक्त ने इन आवेदनों के बारे में भी बीमा कंपनी के अधिकारियों को आदेश दिये है कि वे 15 दिन के अंदर किसानों की क्लेम राशि का भुगतान करें अन्यथा प्रधानमंत्री फसल बीमा कंपनी के दिशा निर्देशानुसार जुर्माना वसूल किया जायेगा। कृषि उपनिदेशक ने बताया कि इस योजना के तहत धान, मक्का, बाजरा और कपास की फसलों को कवर किया जाता है, जिनका प्रीमियम क्रमश 1556, 766, 740 व 1532 रूपये प्रति हेक्टेयर है। उन्होंने बताया कि इस योजना के अंतर्गत चालू सीजन की फसलों का बीमा करवाने की अंतिम तिथि 15 जुलाई 2019 है। उन्होंने कहा कि जिन किसानों ने कृषि ऋण नहीं लिया हुआ है, वे नजदीकी बैंक या काॅमन सर्विस सेंटर में संपर्क करके फसल का बीमा करवा सकते है। उन्होंने कहा कि किसानों को इस योजना के संबंध में यदि कोई दिक्कत आती है तो वे दूरभाष नंबर 0172-2563121 या 2538046 पर संपर्क कर सकते है।

IGNOU June Term Examination 2019 is going to commence from 1st June, 2019 and will conclude on 29th June, 2019.

The students may download the Hall Tickets from the University website (http://www.ignou.ac.in/ or https://ignouhall.ignou.ac.in/HallTickets/HALL0619/Hall0619.asp) and appear in the examination.

Dr Anil Kumar Dimri, Regional Director, IGNOU, Regional Center, Chandigarh said that students are advised to be in possession of the valid Identity Card issued by the University at the time of admission during the examination. IGNOU RC Chandigarh deputed Observers for monitoring examination activities and monitoring team has also been deputed by IGNOU headquarter, New Delhi for the smooth conduct of examination in the region. IGNOU Regional Center Chandigarh established 08 Examination Centers for June TEE 2019 including 03 Exam Centres in Jail at Chandigarh, Patiala and Ambalal for jail inmates.

The mobile phones are not permitted inside the examination hall.
