Centre for Social Work and Department of History, Panjab University, Chandigarh Jointly organised a Medical Eye Camp today i.e., 30 May, 2019 at Khuda Ali Sher between 9:00AM and 1:00PM. 50 patients were examined at the camp conducted by Team of Bharti Vikas Parishad and Madhavi Eye Bank. पुलिस उपायुक्त कमलदीप गोयल ने जिला मे असामाजिक तत्वों की गतिविधियों पर नजर रखने के लिये होटल, धर्मशाला, माॅटलस, सराय व इस तरह के किराये पर दिये जाने वाले अन्य स्थानों के लिये धारा 144 के तहत आदेश जारी करते हुए एहतियातित कदम उठाने के निर्देश जारी किये है।
जारी किये गये आदेशों की जानकारी देते हुए पुलिस उपायुक्त ने बताया कि जिला में स्थित सभी होटल, माॅटलस, धर्मशाला व सराय व अन्य इस तरह के स्थानों पर प्रदेश द्वार, लोबी, रिसेपशन व पार्किंग क्षेत्र में सीसीटीवी कैमरा लगाना जरूरी है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह कैमरे अच्छी गुणवता के होने चाहिए, जिनमें हर आने जाने वाले व्यक्ति की स्पष्ट रिकोर्डिंग हो सके और रिकोर्डिंग का रिकार्ड 30 दिन तक सुरक्षित रखा जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे कैमरों के लिये पाॅवर बैकअप होना भी जरूरी है ताकि बिजली न होने की स्थिति में भी रिकोर्डिंग की जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे स्थानों पर आने वाले प्रत्यके व्यक्ति का नाम, फोन नंबर, पता, आने व जाने की तिथि व समय व ग्राहक के हस्ताक्षर का रिकोर्ड रखना भी जरूरी है। किसी भी व्यक्ति को अपने संस्थान में ठहराने से पूर्व उसके पहचान के दस्तावेज जरूर प्राप्त करें। उन्होंने कहा कि रिकार्ड का यह रजिस्टर कम से कम एक वर्ष तक पूरी तरह सुरक्षित रहना चाहिए और आवश्यकता पड़ने पर पुलिस कभी भी उसकी चैकिंग कर सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि संस्थान में कोई भी संदिग्ध व्यक्ति होने की स्थिति में उसकी सूचना तुरंत नजदीकी पुलिस स्टेशन पर, पुलिस नियंत्रण कक्ष पर अवश्य दें। नियंत्रण कक्ष पर यह सूचना 100 नंबर या 0172-2582100 पर दी जा सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह आदेश तुरंत प्रभाव से लागू कर दिये गये है और 29 अगस्त तक प्रभावी रहेंगे। आदेशों की अवेहलना करने पर संबंधित संस्थन संचालक के विरूद्ध भारतीय दंड संहिता की धारा 188 के तहत कार्रवाही अमल में लाई जायेगी।

The Directorate of Sports, Panjab University, Chandigarh is organizing one month Free Yoga camp as per the past practices since the beginning of International Day of Yoga at Panjab University Shooting Range, Chandigarh.
Prof. Karamjeet Singh, Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh was the chief guest during the inauguration of the One Month Free Yoga Camp. Prof. Karamjeet spoke about the significance of Yoga Meditation and pranayama in individual’s life. Further he explained through practicing yoga one can attach 3D’s in life i.e Discipline, Dedication and Determination for becoming an excellent human being. Prof. Karamjeet Singh on behalf of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar appreciated the efforts of the Sports Department and congratulated Dr. Parminder Singh and entire team for this initiative.
The expert yoga trainers for the Camp are Mr. Raman Kumar, Dr. Neeru Malik, the team of Himalayan Yogis. On this occasion Dr. Thingnam Nandalal Singh, Chairperson Deptt of Phy. Edu., Dr. Neeru Malik (Fellow PU), the coaches and staff of sports department were present.
More than 200 participants performed yoga. The camp will conclude with the celebration of International Day of Yoga on 21st June, 2019 at Panjab University, Chandigarh.

School of Communication Studies at Panjab University, Chandigarh is set to begin two new diploma courses from the 2019-2020 session. A Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication and another in Radio Production will have 25 seats each. The department is already running a diploma in Advertising and Public Relations in addition to the Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication.

The media industry is seeing a boom thanks to the shift online; news portals and web based television and radio channels have opened a new avenue for budding journalists. The spurt in radio channels, both commercial and community has also led to job creation in the arena.

ललौली थानाध्यक्ष राजेश मौर्य को बिन्दकी का एसएसआई नियुक्त किया है। इसी तरह आबू नगर कोतवाली फतेहपुर के चौकी प्रभारी संदीप कुमार तिवारी को हुसैनगंज की भिटौरा पुलिस चौकी तथा राजीव कमल पांडे को जहानाबाद थाने भेजा गया है।
इस कार्रवाई से पुलिस महकमे में अफरा-तफरी का माहौल बना रहा कि आचार संहिता खत्म होने के बाद कब किसका स्थानांतरण हो जाए पता नहीं।
