IGNOU extends Admission up to 31st August, 2019

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date of submission of online fresh admission of all Masters, Bachelor, Diplomas & Certificates programmes up to 31^st August, 2019 for the July-2019 session. Details of the IGNOU academic programmes for the July, 2019 session can be accessed from the link http://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/admission/. The prospective learners can apply for Masters/Bachelor/Diploma/Certificate programmes of the University on the official website, informed The Regional Director of IGNOU Regional centre Chandigarh Dr. A.K.Dimri. Last date of submission of ‘online’ admission form for July session was earlier fixed for August, 27.

For all those candidates, who have been planning to get admission in any of the IGNOU courses can apply for the same online. Firstly the candidate has to register themselves (if not registered) on the official website i.e onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in. Whereas those who have already registered can simply login with the id- password and fill up the application form for the admission in the July session at Indira Gandhi National Open University for 2019. Also, before filling up the IGNOU admission form, candidates must go through the general instructions, eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc . on the official website. Applicants can also download the complete details of the programmes from the IGNOU website or may contact at Regional Centre office at SCO-208, Sector-14, Panchkula.

MCC to organize “Light & Sound Show” on the life of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Chandigarh, August 27: – The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh is going to organize “Light & Sound Show” on the life of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in the mid of September, 2019.

This was decided in a meeting of the implementation committee constituted for planning the activities of 550^th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, held here today under the chairmanship of Sh. Hardeep Singh, Senior Deputy Mayor and attended by other members of the committee namely Sh. Jagtar Singh, Sh. Mahesh Inder Singh, Maj. Gen. M.S. Kandal, Sh. Tilak Raj, HCS, Additional Commissioner and other concerned officers of MCC.

The committee discussed and decided that as a part of celebration of 550^th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, MCC will organize Kirtan Darbars throughout the city in four zones i.e. Khudda Ali Sher, Manimajra, Sector 46 and Sector 41, Chandigarh. The members also decided that a big programme will be organize at Parade ground, Sector 17 by involving all Gurudwara committees of the city.

The committee members discussed and decided that a light & sound show on the life of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji will be organize in Leisure Valley during mid of September. The committee decided that commutative items like wall frames of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, Thought of the day table calendars, mementoes will be manufactured for distribution in different events.

कला एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्य विभाग हरियाणा द्वारा श्री माता मनसा देवी श्राईन बोर्ड के सहयोग से मन्दिर परिसर में 15 दिवसीय मूर्तिकला शिविर आयोजित किया जा रहा है। इस शिविर का उदघाटन उपायुक्त एवं श्री माता मनसा देवी श्राईन बोर्ड के मुख्य प्रशासक मुकेश कुमार आहुजा ने विधिवत रूप से पूजा अर्चना करके और नारियल तोड़कर किया। कला एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्य विभाग के महानिदेशक महेश्वर शर्मा और श्राईन बोर्ड के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी एम.एस यादव ने भी पूजा अर्चना की और मूर्तिकारों को सफलता की शुभकामनाएं दी।

उपायुक्त ने इस मौके पर कहा कि मूर्तिकला न केवल एक प्रतिभा है बल्कि इस कला के माध्यम से वर्तमान और प्राचीन संस्कृति को हजारों वर्ष तक भावी पिढियों तक पहुचाया जा सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि देश व प्रदेश की प्राचीन संस्कृतियों की खोज खुदाई के दौरान मिली उस समय की मूर्तियों से हुई है। उन्होंने मूर्तिकला जैसी विशेष कला को भावी पिढ़ियों तक पहुचाने के लिये कला व सांस्कृतिक कार्य विभाग द्वारा किये जा रहें प्रयासों की सराहना की और कहा कि श्री माता मनसा देवी श्राईन बोर्ड इस कार्य में कलाकारों का हर संभव सहयोग करेगा।

कला एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्य विभाग के महानिदेशक महेश्वर शर्मा ने कहा कि माता मनसा देवी परिसर में मूर्तिकार शिविर आयोजित करने और मंदिर परिसर में मूर्तिया स्थापित करने की प्रेरणा मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल द्वारा दी गई। उन्होंने बताया कि इस 15 दिन के शिविर में राष्ट्रीय और अन्तराष्ट्रीय स्तर के 16 मूर्तिकार अलग-अलग कला पर आधारित मूर्तियों का निर्माण करेंगे।

यह कार्य विभाग के कला अधिकारी एवं अन्राष्ट्रीय स्तर के मूर्तिकार ह्रदय कौशल की देखरेख में किया जा रहा है। प्रत्येक मूर्ति एक बड़े पत्थर से बिना किसी जोड़ के तैयार की जायेगी और यहां पत्थर भी कला एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्य विभाग द्वारा विशेष रूप से राजस्थान से मंगवाया गया है। तैयार की गई मूर्तियां स्थाई तौर पर मंदिर परिसर में ही स्थापित रहेंगी।

इस शिविर के मेंटर व समन्वयक ह्रदय कौशल ने बताया कि इस शिविर में 10 मूर्तिकार दिनेश कुमार, संजीव कुमार, अमित कुमार, कुलदीप कुमार, अनुप, स्वीप, सुनील, रेणूका गुलाटी, तुलसी और शैलेन्द्र हरियाणा राज्य से है। उपायुक्त ने इन सभी कलाकारों को विभाग की ओर से टूल किट भी प्रदान की। इस शिविर ने तेलगांना से डाॅ. स्नेह लता प्रसाद, उदयपुर से राकेश कुमार महाराष्ट्र से पी.जोगदान, चण्डीगढ से विशाल और बडौदा से संगम नामक मूर्तिकार इस शिविर में भाग ले रहें है।

इस मौके पर श्री माता मनसा देवी श्राईन बोर्ड के सचिव व सदस्य तथा कला एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्य विभाग हरियाणा के अधिकारी भी विशेष रूप से उपस्थित रहें।

Indian Society of Periodontology and Indian Prosthodontics Society , a 44 year old and 38 year old organizations respectively, for the first time have joined hands to do a collaborative event ‘PROS-PER’ at Puducherry which concluded on Sunday. Dr Ashish Jain, Professor at PU Dental Institute and Director, Internal Quality Assurance
Cell, Panjab University delivered key inaugural talk at the event. He spoke about the current trends and future perspectives on the technologies in Implant Dentistry. Dr Jain spoke on the latest technology available for the maintenance of oral health with special emphasis on ‘Dual Zinc-Arginine technology’ and the role of Zinc in the daily
routine of oral hygiene for the general population. He shared with the audience about an indigenously developed technology wherein patient’s own tooth can be converted into Bone-graft and placed in the same patient during placement of immediate implants. The event was attended by over 400 delegates from across the country which was held at picturesque MAHE Dental Institute’s auditorium.

University Institute of Engineering and Technology(UIET), Panjab University(PU) organized a three week Induction Programme for the newly admitted students of first year in which students were sensitized towards exploring their
academic interests and activities. Several activities like Yoga, meditation, marathon are being organised for their physical, mental and spiritual growth.

Valedictory function was organized, here today which was graced by Shri Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Honourable Cabinet Minister of Education, Government of Assam. He encouraged the students to live their lives to the fullest, focus on co-curricular activities along with their studies.

Prof Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, PU motivated and shared his valuable thoughts with the students. Shri. Maninder Singh, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Assam was also present on the occasion.

The event started with a welcome address by Prof. Savita Gupta, Director UIET. The Director, UIET briefed about various activities organized during the induction programme.

Mayor & Commissioner allocates 52 cycle carts to safaikarmacharis

Chandigarh, August 26:- Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Mayor & Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today allocated 52 cycle carts to the Safaikarmacharis for lifting small heaps of garbage from streets.

The cycle carts were handed over to safaikarmacharis under the concerned four chief sanitary inspectors i.e. 13 to each for street sweeping purposes. The Mayor and Commissioner also issued Identity cards to the newly joined outsourced staff from the compassionate grounds in the motor garage, industrial area Ph-I.

In addition to that brooms, bamboo sticks, panja and scrapers have been distributed amongst the Safaikarmacharis for lifting garbage etc. from the road sides.

During the occasion the Mayor instructed the concerned officials of sanitation wing for issuing required items on priority basis to the safaikarmacharis from time to time. He asked them to arrange regular health checkup camps keeping in view proper health & hygiene of the safaikarmacharis.

जिला रोजगार कार्यालय पंचकूला द्वारा 27 अगस्त को राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर 1 पंचकूला में रोजगार मेले का आयोजन किया गया है।

रोजगार विभाग के एक प्रवक्ता ने यह जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि इस रोजगार मेले मे पंचकूला व नजदीकी क्षेत्र की कंपनियों को आमंत्रित किया गया है ताकि वे मौके पर ही युवाओं को रोजगार के अवसर उपलब्ध करवा सके। इन कंपनियों में मारुति लिमिटिड, बैकओन सर्विसिज, एनबिट, अरविंद केयर, जोमैटो, एक्सेस बैंक, आईसीआईसीआई बैंक इत्यादि शामिल है। उन्होंने बताया कि इन रोजगार मेले में 10वीं, 12वीं, स्नातक और आईटीआई पास युवक युवतियां रोजगार के अवसरों का लाभ हासिल कर सकते है। ये कंपनियां चयनित युवाओं को कम से कम 10 हजार रुपये मासिक का शुरुआती वेतन और नियमित रोजगार प्रदान करेंगी। उन्होंने कहा कि रोजगार मेले में शामिल होने के लिये इच्छुक युवा वेबसाईट डब्ल्यूडब्ल्यूडब्ल्यूडाॅटएचआरईएक्सडाॅटजीओवीडाॅटइन पर अपना पंजीकरण अवश्य करवा लें। उन्होंने कहा कि रोजगार मेले में युवाओं को अपने साथ शिक्षा व अनुभव के मूल प्रमाण पत्र, रोजगार विभाग का पंजीकरण कार्ड, दो फोटो और बायोडाटा लेकर आना होगा।

इस मौके पर विभिन्न बैंकों के अधिकारियों द्वारा युवाओं को स्वरोजगार आरंभ करने के लिये उपलब्ध ऋण व प्रशिक्षण सुविधाओं की जानकारी दी जायेंगी और मौके पर ही ऋण स्वीकृत भी किये जायेंगे।

उपायुक्त मुकेष कुमार आहुजा ने कहा कि सरकार द्वारा प्रत्येक परिवार को परिवार पहचान पत्र जारी किया जा रहा है। इस पहचान पत्र से प्रत्येक परिवार की अलग पहचान होगी और यह पहचान पत्र सरकार की विभिन्न परियोजनाओं को योग्य परिवारों तक पारदर्षी तरीके से पहुंचाने का माध्यम भी बनेगा।

श्री आहुजा आज जिला सचिवालय के कान्फ्रेंस हाॅल के परिवार पहचान पत्र विषय पर आयोजित वीडियो कान्फ्रेंस के बाद अधिकारियों से चर्चा कर रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि जिला में कोई भी व्यक्ति गांव स्तर पर अटल सेवा केन्द्रों में, उपमण्डल और तहसील स्तर पर सरल केन्द्रों पर परिवार पहचान पत्र के लिए फार्म भर सकते हैं। इसके लिए परिवार के सभी सदस्यों का ब्यौरा देना होगा। अटल सेवा केन्द्रों और सरल केन्द्रों पर यह फार्म भरने का कार्य निषुल्क किया जाएगा और इन केन्द्रों पर कार्य करने वाले आॅपे्रटरों को इस कार्य की फीस सरकार द्वारा अदा की जाएगी।

उन्होंने बताया कि सरकार शीघ्र ही परिवार समृद्धि योजना लागू करने जा रही हैं। जिसके तहत आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर परिवारों को सरकार की ओर से विषेष लाभ दिए जाएगें। यह योजना भी परिवार पहचान पत्र के तहत जारी किए गए विषेष यूनिक नम्बर के माध्यम से क्रियान्वित होगी। उन्होनंे बताया कि जिला में सरकारी अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों के परिवार पहचान पत्र के फार्म सम्बध्ंिात कार्यालयों द्वारा पहले ही भरे जा चूके हैं। जिला प्रषासन द्वारा बीपीएल राषन कार्ड नए लाभपात्रों के फार्म भी भरवाए जा चूके हैं। उन्होंने शेष नागरिको से यह कार्य विषेष प्राथमिक तौर पर करने को कहा। बैठक में अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त उत्तम ंिसंह, एसडीएम ममता शर्मा सहित अन्य सम्बधिंत अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।

स्पोटर्स प्रमोषन सोसायटी पंचकूला द्वारा आज राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक विद्यालय बरवाला में 2 दिवसीय कबडडी और रस्साकसी प्रतियोगिता का शुभारम्भ किया गया। इन खेल प्रतियोगिताओ का उदघाटन विधायक एवं मुख्य सचेतक ज्ञान चन्द गुप्ता तथा उपायुक्त मुकेष कुमार आहुजा ने किया। स्पोटर्स प्रमोषन सोसायटी द्वारा बरवाला में आयोजित की जा रही 10वीं कबडडी और रस्साकसी प्रतियोगिता हैं। जिसमें कबडडी की 24 और रस्साकसी की 6 टीमें भाग ले रही हैं।

विधायक ज्ञान चन्द गुप्ता ने इस मौके पर उपस्थित गांववासियों और खिलाड़ियों को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि स्पोटर्स प्रमोषन सोसायटी युवाओं को नषे जैसी लत से बचाने के लिए प्रति वर्ष शहरी व ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में इस तरह की प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित करवाती हैं। उन्होनंे कहा कि इन प्रतियोगिताओं से जहां खिलाड़ियों को अपनी प्रतिभा प्रदर्षित करने का अवसर मिलता हैं, वहीं युवा वर्ग नषें जैसी आदतों से दूर रहकर खेल के मैदान के साथ जुड़ने के लिए प्रेरित होता हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि कबडडी की प्रथम, द्वितीय और तृतीय स्थान हासिल करने वाली टीमों को क्रमषः 51 हजार, 31 हजार और 15 हजार रूपए ईनाम दिए जाएगें। इसी प्रकार बेस्ट रेडर, बेस्ट कैचर और आॅल राउंडर खिलाड़ी के लिए 31 सौ रूपए विषेष प्रोत्साहन ईनाम रखा गया हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि रस्साकसी में प्रथम पुरस्कार विजेता टीम को 7100 रूपए और द्वितीय स्थान हासिल करने वाली टीम को 5100 रूपए का ईनाम दिया जाएगा। विजेता टीमों को 25 अगस्त को पंचकूला के पुलिस आयुक्त सौरभ सिंह पुरस्कार देकर सम्मानित करेगंे।
