*Chandigarh, June 6:-* Aiming to provide affordable items to those in need while promoting the concept of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (RRR), the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh (MCC) has opened its eighth ‘One Rupee Store’ at the Community Centre, Daddumajra colony. This new store inauguration celebrates the successful completion of one year of the permanent RRR Centre in Sector 17 and the Rupee Store initiative, which together promote sustainability and inclusivity under the ‘Swachhata Ki Mohar’ program.

City Mayor Sh. Kuldeep Kumar in the presence of Commissioner Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, inaugurated the new store in the presence of area councilors, senior MCC officials, and prominent members of the ward.

Speaking on the occasion, City Mayor Kuldeep Kumar said that the MCC’s permanent RRR Center in Sector 17 has received an overwhelming response from citizens over the past year, enabling the establishment of this new Rupee Store. The aim of the Rupee Store is to provide affordable access to a variety of items, such as books, electronics, clothing, crockery, kitchenware, toys, and bed sheets, all priced at just Rs. 1 per item, while promoting the RRR concept.

He further shared that the Sector 17 RRR Center collected a total of 54,398 donated items from June 2023 to May 2024, including 43,739 clothes, 6,277 books, 1,782 footwear, and 2,600 other items like crockery, toys, electronics, bags, home décor, and furniture. After cleaning, repairing, and refurbishing these donated items, the MCC is committed to organizing more such one-rupee stores in different areas and wards of the city.

Municipal Commissioner Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS expressed gratitude to the citizens of the Tricity for their overwhelming response and support. She noted that this is the eighth successful one-rupee store, and the MCC is committed to establishing more such stores throughout the city to serve the community. The establishment of this store is a testament to the MCC’s efforts towards creating sustainable and inclusive practices that benefit citizens from all walks of life.

Since 2023, the MCC has embarked on a journey to promote sustainable behavior and practices among its citizens. As part of this initiative, seven one-rupee stores have already been successfully organized in Dhanas, Manimajra, Maloya, Sunder Nagar, Ramdarbar, a special store for Safaimitras, and Sector-56. These stores have collectively sold approximately more than 15,000 items.

The Commissioner emphasized that this initiative aims to protect and preserve the environment, instilling a pro-planet behavioral change through individual action in daily life. The MCC is reaffirming its dedication to sustainability and working towards a future where emphasis is placed on resourceful utilization, mindful consumption, and waste reduction. By embracing the principles of RRR, the Corporation is on a mission to create a Garbage Free City that is more resilient, equitable, and sustainable for generations to come.

पंचकूला, 5 जून- उपायुक्त डा. यश गर्ग ने बताया कि जिला में चले रहे प्राईवेट प्ले वे स्कूलों को एनसीपीसीआर की हिदायतों के अनुसार चलाया जाना चाहिए। एनसीपीसीआर डाॅट जीओवी डाॅट इन पर प्ले वे स्कूलों के लिए हिदायतें उपलब्ध करवाई गई है। 

उपायुक्त ने बताया कि जिला में चल रहे प्राईवेट प्ले वे स्कूलों का एनसीपीसीआर की हिदायतों की पालना सुनिश्चित करने के लिए रजिस्ट्रेशन करवाया जाना अनिवार्य है। जिला के जिन प्राईवेट स्कूलों ने पंजीकरण नहीं करवाया है वे जल्द से जल्द अपना पंजीकरण करवाना सुनिश्चित करें।   

उपायुक्त ने बताया कि जिला कार्यक्रम अधिकारी सविता नेहरा महिला एवं बाल विकास को सक्षम अधिकारी प्राधिकृत किया गया है। इसके अलावा खण्ड परियोजना अधिकारी नजदीक व्हाईट हाउस पिंजौर, नजदीक पीएनबी बैंक मोरनी, नजदीक पुराना किला, रायपुररानी एवं अम्बाला रोड़ बरवाला के कार्यालय से सम्पर्क स्थापित कर संबंधित ब्लाक में अपना प्रस्ताव जमा करवाया जा सकता है।

पंचकूला, 5 जून – उपायुक्त डा. यश गर्ग की अध्यक्षता में आज अनीमिया जागरूकता को लेकर लघु सचिवालय के सभागार में बैठक आयोजित हुई। उपायुक्त ने बैठक में 100 दिन तक जागरूकता अभियान को अच्छे से चलाने को लेकर सम्बन्धित अधिकारियों को उचित दिशा-निर्देश दिए।

उन्होंने कहा कि अनीमिया को लेकर चलाने जाने वाले अभियान के लिए सभी विभाग के अधिकारी संयुक्त रूप से इस अभियान को चलाएं और अभियान के दौरान संयुक्त रूप से स्कूलों, आंगनवाड़ी केन्द्रों, प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केन्द्रों और सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केन्द्रों में जागरूकता शिविर लगाए जाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि अनीमिया को लेकर महिलाओं को जागरूक होना जरूरी है। महिलाएं जागरूक होंगी तो अनीमिया से बचना आसान होगा। 

डा. यश गर्ग ने कहा कि अनीमिया मुक्त हरियाणा का उद्देश्य अनीमिया के चक्र को तोड़ना है। इसके लिए शुरूआत में छह अलग-अलग आयु वर्ग को लक्षित किया गया है। इनमें छोटे बच्चे 6 महीने से 59 महीने तक, स्कूल जाने वाले 5 वर्ष से 9 वर्ष, किशोरों में 10 वर्ष से 19 वर्ष, महिलाआं में 20 वर्ष से 49 वर्ष और गर्भवती महिलाओं पर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है। 

उपायुक्त बताया कि अनीमिया मुक्त हरियाणा अभियान चलाकर जिला के हर वर्ग के लोगों के खून की जांच की जाए। इसके बाद एचबी के आधार पर ट्रीटमेंट दिया जाएगा। अनीमिया को देखते हुए संतुलित आहार, नियमित आयरन की खुराक, कृमि नियंत्रण और जीवन शैली पर ध्यान देने की जरूरत है। उन्होंने कहा कि 11 जून से शुरू होने वाले इस जागरूकता अभियान में सभी विभाग व स्वास्थ्य विभाग के कर्मचारी अपनी जिम्मेदारी को बखूबी निभाएं। साथ ही अपने अधीन नोडल अधिकारियों व अध्यापकों की टेªनिंग करवाना सुनिश्चित करें।

सिविल सर्जन डाॅ. मुक्ता कुमार ने बताया कि एनीमिया का मतलब है कि शरीर में खून की कमी होना। हमारे शरीर में हिमोग्लोबिन एक ऐसा तत्व है जो शरीर में खून की मात्रा बताता है। मनुष्य एनीमिया का शिकार तब होता है जब शरीर के रक्त में लाल कणों या कोशिकाओं के नष्ट होने की दर, उनके निर्माण की दर से अधिक हो जाती है। आमतौर पर लोग खून की कमी को हल्के में लेते हैं, जिससे कई स्वास्थ्य समस्याएं होने का खतरा बढ़ जाता है। 100 दिनों तक अलग-अलग जगहों पर शिविर लगाए जाएंगे और इलाज भी किया जाएगा।

इस अवसर पर डब्ल्यूसीडी बिमला, डा. मीनू, डा. सुरेंद्र, डा. शिल्पा, डा. सविता, डा. निधि समेत अन्य अधिकारीगण मौजूद रहे।

पंचकूला, 5 जून – उपायुक्त डा. यश गर्ग ने आज लघु सचिवालय के सभागार में डायरिया, डेंग को लेकर आयोजित बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। उपायुक्त ने बैठक में मौजूद संबन्धित अधिकारियों को उचित दिशा निर्देश दिए। 

उपायुक्त न कहा कि जिला के प्रभावित क्षेत्र में कहीं पर भी पानी खड़ा नहीं रहना चाहिए। बरसात का सीजन शुरू होने से पहले ही जिला के लोगों को इस बारे में जागरूक किया जाना चाहिए। ऐसे पानी में लारवा होने से बीमारियों के फैलने का खतरा बना रहता है। अभियान चलाकर लोगों को जागरूक किया जाए। जिससे की उन्हें बीमारियों से बचाया जा सके।

डा. यश गर्ग ने नगर निगम के अधिकारियों को निर्देश देते हुए कहा कि बूढ़नपुर, इंदिरा और राजीव कालोनियों में विशेष अभियान चलाकर सैनेटाइज करने की जरूरत है। इन काॅलोनियों में किसी भी प्रकार की गंदगी नहीं रहनी चाहिए। किसी स्थान पर गंदा पानी ना खड़ा हो। कूड़ा-कर्कट, आॅग्रेनिक कचरा ना रहे। पूरा एरिया की फोगिंग करवाई जाए। साथ ही मास आदि की बिक्री पर भी रोक लगाई जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि इन काॅलोनी के लोगों को आशा वर्कर और एंबूलेंस का नंबर उपलब्ध करवाया गया है। किसी भी प्रकार की समस्या नजर आने पर आशा वर्कर या एंबूलेंस से संपर्क कर डाॅक्टर के पास जाएं और समय से अपना इलाज करवाएं।

उपायुक्त ने कहा कि इन काॅलोनियों में लोगों को जागरूक किया जाए कि पीने से पहले पानी को उबालकर ठंडा करे पीएं। जागरूकता कार्यक्रम चलाए जाएं। इसके अलावा बीमारियों से बचने के लिए सावधानियों की एडवाजरी जारी की जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि पानी की सप्लाई के अलग-अलग सैंपल लिए जाएं और जहां पर कोई कमी मिले तो उसे दूर किया जाए। उन्होंने स्वास्थ्य विभाग को निर्देश दिए कि वो प्रभावित क्षेत्र में शिविर लगाकर लोगों को इलाज उपलब्ध करवाएं। साथ ही उन्हें बीमारियों से बचने के लिए जागरूक करें।

*Chandigarh, June 5:-* Reaffirming its mission to preserve natural water channels (Choes) for a clean environment and improve community and city sanitation standards, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) today organized a community-led mega cleanliness drive at Sukhna Choe to mark World Environment Day. as part of the “Swachhata Ki Mohar” program.

To maintain the cleanliness of the Choe, ensure uninterrupted water flow, prevent floods, and preserve the environment, City Mayor Kuldeep Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Anindita Mitra, IAS, area councilor Suman Sharma, other officials, and citizens of Chandigarh participated in the drive under the theme “Our Land, Our Future”.

Speaking on the occasion, City Mayor Kuldeep Kumar said that such proactive community initiatives will motivate citizens to take the lead in keeping their surroundings clean and avoiding littering. He further mentioned that the MCC team conducted a door-to-door awareness campaign in the nearby EWS Flats, Bapu Dham, and Shastri Nagar areas. Citizens were educated about solid waste management, the importance of waste segregation, the dangers of single-use plastics, and the harmful effects of littering near the Choe.

Municipal Commissioner Ms. Anindita Mitra (IAS) said that the MCC has adopted a holistic approach to keeping the environment clean, focusing on water, air, and soil while maintaining the city’s sanitation standards. She said the Choe cleanliness drive aims to raise awareness among citizens and instill a sense of ownership regarding the environment and their surroundings. As a result of this drive, 4.15 tonnes of solid waste were collected from the Sukhna Choe.

The Commissioner added that the Municipal Corporation has dedicated this week to the environment, adopting the RRR principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) to lead to a zero-waste lifestyle, marking World Environment Day, and raising awareness among citizens.

*Chandigarh, June 5:-* To encourage the community to keep their surroundings green, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) launched a new initiative by distributing Tulsi (Basil) plants at the Rose Horticulture Nursery in Sector 23. This initiative aims to encourage citizens to purchase and plant trees from the MCC nursery at subsidized prices.

City Mayor Sh. Kuldeep Kumar and Municipal Commissioner Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS distributed Tulsi plants to the citizens of the city beautiful to mark World Environment Day under the “Swachhata Ki Mohar” initiative.

The Mayor said that the Municipal Corporation has demonstrated its strong commitment to enhancing the city’s green cover by successfully exceeding its tree and shrub plantation targets for the financial year 2023-24. The MCC had set a target of planting 54,398 plants, including 6,025 trees and 48,370 shrubs, but exceeded this target by planting a total of 72,864 plants, including 6,784 trees and 66,080 shrubs across the city.

He further added that for the upcoming financial year 2024-25, the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has set an even more ambitious target of planting 60,460 plants citywide, including both trees and shrubs. The plantation drive will span various sectors, parks, green belts, community centers, rehabilitation colonies, and other key locations around Chandigarh.

Municipal Commissioner Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS emphasized that it is high time we take proactive measures to save our environment and land for the future. She said that each citizen must take ownership of attaining a zero-waste lifestyle by segregating waste properly, conserving water, adopting home composting, eliminating single-use plastics, and encouraging the entire community to do the same.

Earlier, the Mayor and Commissioner also planted saplings of trees and shrubs at Sector 23 Park, motivating citizens to participate in the greening efforts.

Under  “Swachhata ki Mohar” intitaive , and marking the upcoming World Environment Day on June 5th, the Municipal Corporation today conducted a door-to-door awareness drive at EWS Flats, Bapu Dham, and Shastri Nagar, located near the Sukhna Choe. The citizens were educated about solid waste management, including the importance of waste segregation, and the menace of single-use plastics, as well as the harmful effects of littering near the Choe by the MC team.

Ms. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Municipal Commissioner said that Keeping the natural water channels clean and protecting the environment is of utmost importance. Through this awareness drive and the upcoming mega cleaning drive conciding on World Environment Day on June 5 at the Sukhna Choe, we aim to engage the citizens and foster a sense of collective responsibility towards maintaining the ecological balance of the city. She urged all residents to participate in these efforts and contribute to making Chandigarh cleaner, greener, and happier.

पंचकूला, 4 जून – उपायुक्त एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी डा. यश गर्ग के मार्गदर्शन में लोकसभा आम चुनाव 2024 के लिए कालका विधानसभा क्षेत्र व पंचकूला विधानसभा क्षेत्र की मतगणना शांतिपूर्वक ढंग से संपन्न हुई। कालका विधानसभा क्षेत्र के 218 पोलिंग बूथों की मतगणना को 14 टेबलों पर 16 राउंड में पूरी हुई। पंचकूला विधानसभा क्षेत्र की 14 टेबलों पर 15 राउंड में पूरी हुई। जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी डा. यश गर्ग ने मतगणना केन्द्रों का दौरा किया। एसडीएम एवं एआरओ कालका लक्षित सरीन ने कालका विधानसभा और एसडीएम एवं एआरओ पंचकूला गौरव चैहान ने पंचकूला विधानसभा के प्रत्येक राउंड का रिजल्ट घोषित किया।

पंचकूला, 4 जून – उपायुक्त डा. यश गर्ग के मार्गदर्शन में राजकीय औद्योगिक प्रशिक्षण संस्थान (आईटीआई) कालका स्थित बिटना में दाखिला प्रक्रिया आरंभ हो रही हैं। 

प्रधानाचार्य मनदीप ने बताया कि दाखिला प्रक्रिया के लिए विभाग के द्वारा आनलाईन आवेदन विभागीय वैबसाईट https://www.admissions.itiharyana.gov.in/ पर दिनांक सात जून 2024 से दिनांक 21 जून 2024 तक स्वीकार किए जाएंगे। दाखिला संबंधी विस्तृत दिशा-निर्देश बारे विवरण पत्रिका, संस्थानो की सूची एवं संस्थानवार सीटों बारे सूचना उपरोक्त वैबसाईट पर उपलब्ध हैं। 

उन्होंने बताया कि विभिन्न दाखिला चरणो में मैरिट एवं सीट अलाॅटमैंट जारी करने के कार्यक्रम बारे सूचना भी दाखिला वैबसाइट पर दिनांक सात जून 2024 से उपलब्ध करवाई जायेंगी। प्रार्थियों से अनुरोध है कि वह दाखिला वैबसाईट का नियमित अवलोकन करते रहे। प्रार्थी आवेदन के लिए संस्थान में बने हेल्प डेस्क की मदद से भी अपना फाॅर्म भर सकते हैं। 

उन्होंने बताया कि फाॅर्म भरने के लिए प्रार्थी को अपने सभी मूल प्रमाण पत्र शैक्षणिक योग्यता, आवास प्रमाण पत्र, आरक्षण/ जाति प्रमाण पत्र, पिताविहिन या अनाथ का प्रमाण पत्र/ विधवा/ विधवा की संतान, एक्स सर्विसमैन (ESM)/ एक्स सर्विस मैन आश्रित (ESM), परिवार की आमदनी का प्रमाण पत्र, आवेदक बैंक पासबुक, आवेदक की फोटो अपलोड करने हैं तथा आॅनलाइन पेमेंट अदायगी के लिए पेटीएम/ डेबिट कार्ड या क्रेडिट कार्ड होना जरूरी हैं। परिवार पहचान पत्र और आधार कार्ड होना अनिवार्य हैं ऐसे प्रार्थी ही आवेदन के पात्र होंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि आईटीआई में आने जाने के लिए पंचकूला व कालका से बस की सुविधा उपलब्ध हैं, जिसमें लडकियों/महिलाओं का बस पास फ्री बनाया जाता हैं।

IGNOU Term End Examinations June, 2024 are going to commence from 07th June, 2024 and will conclude on 15th July, 2024 in the region.

The students may download the Hall Tickets from the University website http://www.ignou.ac.in/ and appear in the examination.

Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Senior Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Center, Chandigarh informed that students are advised to be in possession of the valid Identity Card issued by the University at the time of admission during the examination. Under Regional Centre Chandigarh 13179 eligible students have been issued Hall Tickets for this examination who will be appearing in different programmes/courses.  IGNOU RC Chandigarh Academics will be monitoring examination activities and monitoring team has also been deputed by IGNOU headquarter, New Delhi for the smooth conduct of Term End Examination in the region. IGNOU Regional Center Chandigarh has established 11 Examination Centers for TEE June, 2024 including 02 Exam Center in Jails at Chandigarh and Ambala for jail inmates.

The Examination Centres have been instructed to allow students, with a valid Identity Card, to appear in examination, even if they do not possess the Hall Ticket (Examination Intimation Slips), but their names exist in the list of examinees for that centre.

Students are advised to be in possession of the valid Identity Card issued by the University during the Examination. Mobile phones and any other electronic gadgets are not permitted inside the examination hall.
