*Chandigarh, September 24:-* In a significant step towards sustainability, the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh is set to install “Bench of Dreams” made from recycled plastic in public spaces as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. The initiative was launched today by Joint Commissioner Sh. Gurinder Singh Sodhi at the MC building premises. The benches were generously donated by Sh. K. Ganesh, Director of Sustainability and Corporate Affairs at Bisleri, through Bisleri’s CSR program.

MC Commissioner Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh, IAS, praised Bisleri’s commitment to environmental sustainability, highlighting the donation of five benches as a step towards a greener future for the community.

He further stated that these benches, crafted from used plastic following the principles of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (RRR), are not only a solution to plastic waste but also promote social responsibility. By transforming discarded plastic into functional public amenities, this initiative underscores MCC’s dedication to building a sustainable community.

He added that these five benches will soon be installed in selected public parks, providing eco-friendly seating while encouraging citizens to engage in responsible waste management practices. This project exemplifies the potential of innovative recycling efforts to enhance community spaces and foster environmental awareness.

पंचकूला, 24 सितंबर- उपायुक्त डाॅ. यश गर्ग ने बताया कि ओद्यौगिक प्रशिक्षण संस्थान पंचकूला, आईटीआई कालका बिटना,  कालका  आईटीआई बिटना महिला, आईटीआई रायपुररानी, राजकीय ओद्यौगिक प्रशिक्षण संस्थान बरवाला कनौली में जिला के इच्छुक विद्यार्थियों के लिए खाली सीटों पर दाखिला लेने के लिए सुनहरी मौका है। 

श्री गर्ग ने बताया कि आईटीआई पंचकूला में खाली सीट 78, कालका एट बिटना में 160, कालका एट बिटना महिला में 33, आईटीआई रायपुररानी में 26 सीट, आईटीआई बरवाला एट कनौली में 23, जी एंड जी प्राईवेट आईटीआई रायपुररानी में 4, काॅटालिया प्राईवेट आईटीआई रायपुररानी में 55 और मदनी प्राईवेट आईटीआई पीओ गरही कोटा में 74 सीटें खाली पड़ी है। इन सीटों पर दाखिलें के लिए जिले के विद्यार्थी 30 सितंबर तक आॅन दी स्पाॅट पंहुचकर अपना दाखिला सुनिश्चित कर सकते है। 

राजकीय ओद्यौगिक प्रशिक्षण संस्थान पंचकूला की प्रिंसीपल श्रीमती गीता ने बताया कि पंचकूला आईटीआई में आधुनिक व्यवसाय जीयो इन्फ्रोमैटिक असिस्टेंट की ट्रेड भी उपलब्ध है। जीयो ट्रेड की सरकारी एजेंसियों, निजी कंपनियों व गैर सरकारी संगठनों में इस ट्रेड के पास आउट की व्यापक मांग है।

पंचकूला, 24 सितम्बर – हरियाणा विधानसभा आम चुनाव-2024 को शांतिपूर्वक, निष्पक्ष व पारदर्शी ढंग से संपन्न करवाने के लिए चुनाव आयोग द्वारा नियुक्त किये तीनों चुनाव पर्यावेक्षकों ने राजनीतिक पार्टियों व प्रत्याशियों के प्रतिनिधियों और निर्वाचन अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक कर आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश दिए। 

लोक निर्माण विभाग के विश्राम गृह में आयोजित बैठक में सामान्य आॅब्जर्वर शाहिद इकबाल चौधरी , एक्सपेंडिचर आॅब्जर्वर दारसी सुमन रतनाम और पुलिस आॅब्जर्वर अनूप कुमार साहू, जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी डा. यश गर्ग सहित सम्बन्धित अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।

 उन्होंने कहा कि सभी चुनाव आॅब्जर्वर्स सुनवाई के लिए रोजाना तीन से चार बजे तक विश्राम गृह में उपस्थित रहेंगे। बैठक के दौरान प्रत्याशियों व प्रतिनिधियों ने अपने-अपने सुझाव भी दिए।

सामान्य आॅब्जर्वर ने कहा कि आयोग का पूरा प्रयास है कि चुनाव पूर्ण रूप से निष्पक्ष व पारदर्शी हों और  चुनाव लड़ने वाले प्रत्याशी को किसी भी प्रकार की असुविधा का सामना ना करना पड़े, इसके लिए जिला प्रशासन द्वारा टीमों का गठन किया गया है, जो बेहतरीन व ठीक ढंग से काम कर रही हैं।  सभी राजनीतिक पार्टियां निर्धारित सीमा 40 लाख रूपये तक के अन्दर ही चुनावी खर्च करें और सभी प्रकार की अनुमति समय पर लें, ताकि उन्हें भी किसी प्रकार की दिक्कत का सामना ना करना पड़े। यदि उनके समक्ष किसी भी प्रकार की समस्या आती है तो दूरभाष नंबर 01722996285 पर संपर्क कर सकते है।

एक्सपेंडिचर आॅब्जर्वर ने कहा कि अब तक तीन बार चुनावी खर्च का आंकलन किया जा चुका है और इसे आयोग की चुनावी वैबसाइट पर अपलोड किया जा चुका है। यदि उन्हें किसी प्रकार की शंका है तो वे उनकी प्रति ले सकते हैं।  चुनावी खर्च के ब्योरे के लिए चुनाव आयोग द्वारा निर्धारित एक रूपये प्रति पेज जमा करवाना होगा। इसी आधार पर दूसरे प्रत्याशी के चुनावी खर्च की जानकारी भी ली जा सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि चुनाव लड़ने वाले सभी प्रत्याशियों को सभा, जनसभा करने, वाहन से प्रचार करने की अनुमति लेना अनिवार्य है। इसके अलावा चुनावी खर्च को एक्सपेंडिचर रजिस्ट्रर में अपडेट करवाना भी अनिवार्य है। 26 सितम्बर को सभी प्रत्याशियों का चुनावी खर्च अपडेट किया जाएगा। इसके लिए सभी प्रत्याशी समय पर चुनावी खर्च रजिस्ट्रर को अपडेट करके रखें। ऐसा ना होने पर चुनाव की अवहेलना माना जाएगा। 

पुलिस आॅब्जर्वर ने कहा कि जिला के सभी संवेदनशील और अति संवेदनशील बूथों का दौरा किया है। अभी तक किसी भी प्रकार की अवहेलना की सूचना प्राप्त नहीं हुई है। यदि कहीं पर चुनाव आदर्श आचार संहिता की अवहेलना की जा रही हो तो उन्हें सूचना दे सकते हैं। साथ ही सी-विजिल एप पर भी शिकायत कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि चुनाव आयोग के आदेशानुसार सभी उम्मीदवारों को सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की जा रही है। 

इस बैठक में पुलिस उपायुक्त हिमाद्रि कौशिक, उप जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी विश्वनाथ, एसडीएम एवं रिटर्निंग अधिकारी पंचकूला गौरव चौहान एसडीएम एवं रिटर्निंग अधिकारी कालका राजेश पुनिया सहित संबन्धित अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।

पंचकूला, 24 सितम्बर – उपायुक्त एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी डा. यश गर्ग ने बताया कि हरियाणा विधानसभा आम चुनाव-2024 के लिए 02 पंचकूला विधानसभा में फार्म 12-डी भरने वाले बुजुर्गों और दिव्यांगों के मतदान का शैडयूल जारी कर दिया गया है। 27 सितम्बर और 28 सितम्बर को 85 वर्ष से अधिक आयु वाले बुजुर्ग और 40 प्रतिशत से अधिक दिव्यांग मतदाताओं के घर पर जाकर मतदान करवाया जाएगा। उन्होंने फार्म 12-डी भरने वाले बुजुर्गों और दिव्यांग मतदाताओं से अपील की है कि वो शैडयूल के अनुसार मतदान करने के लिए 27 व 28 को अपने घरों पर रहे।

जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि जिला में 85 वर्ष से ज्यादा आयुवर्ग में 5556 वोटर हैं, इनमें से 01 कालका विधानसभा में 2303 वोटर और 02 पंचकूला विधानसभा में 3253 वोटर शामिल हैं। जिला में 2472 दिव्यांग वोटर हैं, इनमें से कालका में 1218 और पंचकूला में 1254 वोटर शामिल हैं। जिला में 303 ब्लाइंड वोटर हैं, इनमें से कालका में 145 और पंचकलूा में 158 वोटर शामिल हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि जिला में 147 बुजुर्गों एवं दिव्यांगों ने फार्म 12डी का आवेदन किया हुआ है। कालका विधानसभा के 51 वोटरों ने 12डी फार्म का आवेदन किया है, इनमें 26 दिव्यांग और 25 बुजुर्ग शामिल हैं। पंचकूला विधानसभा में 96 वोटरों ने 12डी के आवेदन किया है, इनमें आठ दिव्यांग और 25 बुजुर्ग शामिल हैं। 

डा. यश गर्ग ने बताया कि एसडीएम एवं रिटर्निंग अधिकारी पंचकूला गौरव चैहान ने तीन टीमों का गठन किया है, जो अलग-अलग रूटों पर जाकर विधानसभा मे फार्म 12-डी का आवेदन करने वाले 96 वोटरों से मतदान करवाएंगी। मतदान की प्रक्रिया की वीडियोग्राफी करवाई जाएगी। उन्होंने बताया कि इस बारे में विधानसभा के अंतर्गत चुनाव लड़ रहे सभी पार्टियां व प्रत्याशियों को सूचित कर दिया गया है। प्रत्याशियों के एजेंट भी मौका पर मौजूद रहते ही पूरी प्रक्रिया को संपन्न करवाएंगे। 

*27 सितम्बर के मतदान का यूं रहेगा शैडयूल*

जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने बताया कि 27 सितम्बर को टीम नंबर एक राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला से एमडीसी सेक्टर-5 पंचकूला, एमडीसी सेक्टर-6 पंचकूला, सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला, सेक्टर-2 पंचकूला से मतदान करवाने के उपरांत वापस राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला आएगी। 

उन्होंने बताया कि टीम नंबर दो राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला से सेक्टर-8 पंचकूला, सेक्टर-9 पंचकूला, सेक्टर-15 पंचकूला से मतदान करवाने के उपरांत वापस राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला आएगी। 

उन्होंने बताया कि टीम नंबर तीन राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला से सेक्टर-25 पंचकूला, सेक्टर-26 पंचकूला, गांव रत्तेवाली से मतदान करवाने के बाद वापस राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला आएगी। 

*28 सितम्बर के मतदान का यूं रहेगा शैडयूल*

डा. यश गर्ग ने बताया कि 28 सितम्बर को टीम नंबर एक राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला से सेक्टर-4 पंचकूला, सेक्टर-5 पंचकूला, सेक्टर-6 पंचकूला से मतदान करवाने के उपरांत वापस राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला आएगी। 

उन्होंने बताया कि टीम नंबर दो राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला से सेक्टर-11 पंचकूला, सेक्टर-12 पंचकूला, सेक्टर-12ए पंचकूला, सेक्टर-14 पंचकूला, सेक्टर-19 पंचकूला से मतदान करवाने के उपरांत वापस राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला आएगी। 

उन्होंने बताया कि टीम नंबर तीन राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला से खड़ग मंगोली, सेक्टर-20 पंचकूला, गांव फतेहपुर, सेक्टर-21 पंचकूला, गांव महेशपुर पंचकूला से मतदान करवाने उपरांत वापस राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय सेक्टर-1 पंचकूला आएगी। 

*100 वर्ष से उपर के 166 बुजुर्ग मतदान*

उपायुक्त ने बताया कि 100 वर्ष से ज्यादा आयुवर्ग में 166 वोटर हैं, इनमें से कालका विधानसभा में 84 वोटर और पंचकूला विधानसभा में 82 वोटर शामिल हैं। पंचकूला विधानसभा में 109 वर्षीय गांव बरवाला निवासी राजो, 100 वर्षीय गांव असरेवाली निवासी छज्जू सबसे बुजुर्ग वोटर हैं। कालका विधानसभा में 104 वर्षीय गांव घोलपुरा निवासी शांति, 102 वर्षीय गांव बोझटीपरा निवासी द्रोपती और 103 वर्षीय गांव समलेहरी निवासी बचनी देवी सबसे बुजुर्ग वोटर हैं।

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for online admission to all Masters, Bachelors, PG Diploma and Diploma programmes (except Certificate and Semester Based Programmes) and online Re-registration (RR) with a late fee of Rs.200/- of all Masters and Bachelors (except Semester Based Programmes) for the session July, 2024 session till 30th September, 2024. Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Senior Regional Director of IGNOU Regional Center Chandigarh informed that interested applicants can apply through online link for admission to any Masters, Bachelors, PG Diploma and Diploma programs of their choice: https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/ which is available on IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in.

SC/ST students will be admitted without charging any fee in some of the Diploma/PG Diploma & Graduate Programmes and they will have to apply online and to upload all necessary documents for fee exemption. पंचकूला, 23 सितंबर। – उपायुक्त एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी डा. यश गर्ग ने बताया कि हरियाणा विधानसभा आम चुनाव 2024 के पांच अक्टूबर को होने वाले मतदान की तैयारी की जा रही है। इसी कड़ी में 24 सितंबर मंगलवार को सेक्टर 5 पंचकूला में स्थित इंद्रधनुष ऑडिटोरियम में 01- कालका विधानसभा और 02-पंचकूला विधानसभा के पीठासीन अधिकारियों, सहायक पीठासीन अधिकारियों तथा पोलिंग अधिकारियों के लिए दूसरी रिहर्सल आयोजित की जाएगी।

यश गर्ग ने बताया कि 24 सितंबर मंगलवार को सुबह 9:00 बजे से कालका विधानसभा के लिए चयनित अधिकारियों और दोपहर 1:00 से पंचकूला विधानसभा के लिए चयनित अधिकारियों को रिहर्सल में शामिल किया जाएगा। दोनों विधानसभाओं के रिटर्निंग अधिकारी अपनी-अपनी विधानसभा के अधिकारियों की रिहर्सल के लिए जरूरी सुविधाओं की व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित करें। उन्होंने बताया कि पहले रिहर्सल सभी कर्मचारियों की राजकीय महाविद्यालय सेक्टर 1 में आयोजित करवाई जा चुकी है।

जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने कहा कि चुनाव को निष्पक्ष व शांतिपूर्ण ढंग से संपन्न करवाने में पीठासीन अधिकारियों की भूमिका महत्वपूर्ण होती है। इसलिए अधिकारी निष्पक्ष, शांतिपूर्ण एवं स्वतंत्र रूप से चुनाव कराने के लिए आपसी तालमेल बनाए रखें और अपने कर्तव्यों का पालन ईमानदारी से करें। उन्होंने कहा कि सुचारू मतदान के लिए पीठासीन अधिकारी व सहायक पीठासीन अधिकारी चुनाव प्रक्रिया का मजबूत हिस्सा होता है। पीठासीन अधिकारी पर चुनाव निष्पक्ष व स्वतंत्र रूप से करवाने की जिम्मेवारी होती है। इसलिए पीठासीन व अतिरिक्त पीठासीन अधिकारी चुनाव प्रक्रिया की बारीकियों को समझें।

PU Launches the PU Shodh-Chakra Portal for Researchers

Panjab University (PU) Vice-Chancellor, Prof Renu Vig today launched PU Shodh-Chakra Portal for the researchers and supervisors of the university.

The key initiative is a project of INFLIBNET Centre under the guidance of University Grants Commission (UGC) to help the university for managing its research life cycle.

Shodh Chakra will provide a unique space to the researcher, supervisor and the university to manage their research lifecycle, starting from registration to thesis submission.             

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Renu Vig appreciated the initiative and expressed hope that the comprehensive portal would be beneficial to the university researchers.

Prof Vig suggested for organising awareness workshops for the research scholars and supervisors for its maximum utilisation. On one hand, it will bring greater transparency while on the other hand, the data generated and collected through this portal would also be useful for submitting information to NAAC and other ranking and funding agencies.

Prof Harsh Nayyar, Director R&DC said that Shodh Chakra is a profile and Resources Management System where guide and researcher can interact online. He informed that the access to all the thesis available through the Shodhganga portal and scholarly resources would be available to all researchers on 24X7 basis from anywhere. He told that a proper mechanism would be developed for all the research scholars and supervisors to create their profiles and necessary proformas will be prepared to ensure that all researchers create their profiles and enter necessary data into this portal.

Dr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, PU Deputy Librarian and Nodal officer of this project highlighted that Shodh-Chakra@Panjab University portal is ready for use as necessary data to start this facility at PU has already been entered into this portal. He further added that the portal had access to more than 3.5 lakhs full-text theses; relevant literature from millions of scholarly articles from Shodhganga, Google Scholar, IRINS, Crossref and other databases. It enables researchers to manage scholarly resources in a personalised resource space known as My Library; has information of Scholarship/Fellowship received by a researcher, etc. It offers single search box to locate resources using keywords from major metadata fields; access to pre-populated Knowledge Resources; as also information of upcoming seminars/workshops and conferences in all the fields across the country on participatory approach. Reference management tool (Zotero) is integrated with the portal to help researchers to manage resources.

The Director, Computer Centre, PU Prof Anu Gupta and Prof Naveen Agarwal from UIET, members of the committee also said that Shodhchakra provides a digital workspace wherein researchers can collect, store, organize and cite their research work.

*Chandigarh, September 23:* The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh successfully organized a mega Safaimitras Suraksha Shivir as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign at Rani Laxmi Bai Mahila Bhawan, Sector 38. This Shivir aims to prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of our dedicated safai karamcharis. The initiative is in collaboration with the TCI Foundation and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (HBCHRC), supporting the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and MCC’s commitment to the welfare of its sanitation workers.

The Safaimitras Suraksha Shivir has become an indispensable initiative for the betterment and welfare of MCC’s invaluable sanitation workforce. It provides a comprehensive platform for raising awareness and equipping these frontline heroes with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently. Approximately 5,000 safaimitras will benefit from various schemes and medical check-ups during the Shivir, which runs throughout the month. This initiative began on September 9 and will continue as part of a month-long health camp in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre. The Shivir focuses on saturating all welfare schemes, including Ayushman Bharat and insurance programs.

The month-long health camp will screen all sanitation workers involved in garbage collection from households and commercial areas, as well as those working at Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs). Key highlights of the cancer screening camp include oral cancer and Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) screenings for males, along with oral, breast, and cervical cancer screenings for females. The camp also offers free medical check-ups, vaccinations, and healthcare services, including general health examinations, vision tests, dental check-ups, and the distribution of essential medicines.

MCC has strategically planned 30 health camps to benefit over 5,000 employees, regardless of their employment status (Regular, Contractual, Agency, Daily Wage). These camps will be held at various locations, as determined by the MOH Wing.

MCC emphasizes that the health and welfare of sanitation workers and MCC staff are top priorities. The Municipal Corporation has provided insurance coverage for all garbage collectors and MRF staff, irrespective of their employment status.

MC Commissioner Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh, IAS, extended heartfelt gratitude to all garbage collectors, sanitation workers, and MCC staff for their hard work, which has improved waste segregation in the city and achieved 100% collection of segregated waste. The city’s rise from the 66th rank in Swachh Survekshan 2021 to the 11th rank in 2023 highlights the importance of continued efforts to make Chandigarh a cleaner and healthier city.

This health camp serves as a fitting tribute to these unsung heroes and reflects the city’s commitment to its workforce. In 2023, Chandigarh was honored with the ‘Safaimitra Surakshit’ title by Her Excellency, the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu. Through initiatives like this, we are dedicated to maintaining that honor and ensuring the well-being of our sanitation workers.

Distributes Twin Litter Bins and Waste Segregation Pamphlets to Night Food Street Staff

Chandigarh, September 22: To strengthen waste management in the city’s food joints, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC), in collaboration with the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), distributed twin litter bins at the Night Food Street, Sector 14, to food joint staff, leading to a Swachh Night Food Street under the Swachhata hi Seva campaign.

Aimed at raising awareness and sensitizing Night Food Street staff about waste segregation, Sh. Gurinder Singh Sodhi, Joint Commissioner, MCC, along with Er. Naveen Gupta, Director/HRD & IT, BBMB, distributed twin litter bins to the staff in the presence of MCC and BBMB officials. The officials also distributed waste segregation awareness pamphlets to educate the staff and visitors at the Night Food Street.

Commissioner Sh. Vinay Pratap, IAS, stated that every citizen has a role to play in maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of the city. By empowering food joints with twin litter bins, the MCC encourages them to actively contribute to waste segregation efforts, setting a positive example for the entire community. These bins will ensure that the staff have the necessary tools to effectively segregate their food waste.

This initiative reflects the collaborative efforts of the MCC and BBMB, with a commitment to the development and betterment of the city. With a focus on sustainable practices and citizen engagement, the Municipal Corporation continues to work tirelessly to ensure a clean, green, and livable city for all its residents.

Joint Commissioner Sh. Gurinder Singh Sodhi, PCS, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the significance of the initiative. “Waste segregation is a crucial step towards building a sustainable future for Chandigarh. Through this distribution of twin litter bins, we aim to create awareness and encourage the Night Food Street to become a catalyst for change in waste management practices,” he added.

The distribution of twin litter bins aligns with MC Chandigarh’s commitment to the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (RRR), contributing to the overall sustainability of the city.

Author’s Workshop starts in PU Chandigarh

A Two days workshop on the Theme ‘Writing Original Textbooks in Punjabi Language’ under the flagship of Bhartiya Bhasha Samvardhan Samiti, MOE, Govt. of India, started in Panjab University (PU) Chandigarh, today.

Workshop was started with the recitation of the University Anthem. Local coordinator, Prof Gurpal Singh of DES-MDRC gave a glimpse and information of this two days workshop; its genesis, history, perspectives and prospects. Key purpose of this BBSS-workshop is to publish 200 textbooks encompassing humanities, science, commerce, law, agriculture and other disciplines in the next four years. This workshop is totally funded by the central Government.

In her inaugural address, Prof Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor of the university said that this workshop is different in nature and the first time in the history of Punjab which emphasises on writing the textbooks in their own language. Students and common people can better understand in his native language. She said that textbooks must be of the people, by the people and for the people.       

Prof. Amarjeet Grewal, an eminent Scholar said that writing textbooks in the Punjabi language is the need of the hour. Knowledge in one’s own language can be grasped easily.    

In his presidential address, Dr. Jagbir Singh, Chancellor CUP Bathinda said that Indian Knowledge Tradition (IKT) is a treasure of wisdom, skillfullness, history, culture and ethics. IKT is homocentric, cosmos centric and environment oriented in nature. NEP-2020 is an effort to re-implement the Indian Knowledge Tradition along with modern education.

Mr. Jaswant Zafar, Director Language Dept. Punjab also spoke on the occasion.

In the three sessions, many resource persons gave instructions, guidance, suggestions, frameworks, tools and techniques to the authors.

Dr. Gurpal Singh of DES-MDRC, Prof. Amreek Singh Ahluwalia VC Eternal University Talwandi Sabo, Prof. Priyatosh Sharma of History Dept PU, Dr. Rajeev Kumar of MM Modi College Patiala, Dr. Manjinder Singh of School of Punjabi Studies Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar were resource persons/ Mentors/Instructors.

More than 50 authors of different disciplines from across the Punjab attended the workshop.

At the end of session, Dr. Sukhwindar Singh gave a vote of thanks to all the authors, dignitaries and audience.
