*Chandigarh, November 07:-* In a significant step towards creating an inclusive and compassionate society, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, under the leadership of Commissioner Amit Kumar, IAS, along with all officials of the Corporation, took a solemn pledge to promote legal adoption and the safeguarding of children with special needs.
The initiative underscores the Corporation’s unwavering commitment to raising awareness, protecting the rights, and ensuring the holistic inclusion of Divyang (specially-abled) children in mainstream society.
Speaking on the occasion, MC Commissioner Amit Kumar, IAS emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring every child—regardless of ability—receives love, care, and opportunities to thrive. He highlighted that the pledge serves as a reminder of the civic duty to uphold equality, dignity, and inclusivity for all sections of society.
