4-Day Safaimitras Suraksha mega Shivir comes to a close

5000 safaimitras and their families from various wings of municipal corporation took part in the shivir

Chandigarh, September 27:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh successfully organised 4-day Safaimitras Suraksha Shivir under the Swachhata Pakhwada – Swachhata Hi Seva campaign at Rani Laxmi Bai Mahila Bhawan, Sector 38. This event aimed to prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of our dedicated safai karamcharis and their families. The special focus of the Shivir was to saturate all the welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat and Insurance.

The Safaimitras Suraksha Shivir has been an indispensable initiative in ensuring the betterment and welfare of our invaluable sanitation workforce. It provided a comprehensive platform for creating awareness, and equipping these frontline heroes with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and efficiently. Near about 5000 safaimitras and their family members got themselves enrolled for various beneficiary schemes and got their medical checkup done during 4 days shivir.

In the presence of Senior Deputy Mayor Sh. Kanwarjeet Rana, the Shivir concluded with a special ceremony where esteemed guests from Punjab and Sindh Bank, State Bank of India, and Punjab National Bank were honored for their valuable contribution to the event. Their support and presence added immense value to the Shivir.

In addition to the Shivir, featured an exclusive “one rupee store” dedicated to serving the needs of the Safaimitras. This initiative received overwhelming response and appreciation from the participants, further highlighting the success and impact of the event.

The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh extended its heartfelt gratitude to all the  bankers, departments and support staff who made this event a resounding success. Their dedication and commitment to the well-being of our safai karamcharis have been truly commendable.
