उपायुक्त प्रदीप कुमार के निर्देशानुसार जिला सूचना एवं जनसंपर्क विभाग द्वारा प्रचार वाहन के माध्यम से नागरिकों को कोविड-19 से बचाव के लिए जागरूक किया जा रहा है। प्रचार वाहन द्वारा लोगों को कोरोना को फैलने से रोकने व इससे बचाव के लिए मॉस्क लगाने, सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग बनाने, बिना वजह घर से बाहर न निकलने आदि उपायों व सावधानियां बरतने के लिए जागरूक कर रहा है। प्रचार वाहन द्वारा बुधवार को सिरसा शहर के सभी मुख्य बाजारों व वार्डों में लोगों को कोरोना को लेकर जागरूक किया गया।
उपायुक्त प्रदीप कुमार ने बताया कि सावधानी तथा बचाव उपाय को अपनाकर कोरोना संक्रमण से बचा जा सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि त्यौहारों का सीजन शुरू हो गया है। ऐसे में बाजारों में भीड़ होना स्वाभाविक है। उन्होंने कहा कि जैसे-जैसे समय बीत रहा है, लोगों के मन से कोरोना संक्रमण का भय निकल रहा है, जबकि लोग पहले से कहीं अधिक संक्रमित हो रहे हैं। इसलिए हर नागरिक को कोरोना संक्रमण से बचाव के प्रति जागरूक होना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि दुकानदार अपनी दुकानों पर आने वाले ग्राहकों से कहें कि वे मास्क का प्रयोग करें। इसके साथ-साथ बाजार में भी मास्क व सैनीटाइजर तथा उचित दूरी बनाए रखने के प्रति जागरूकता लाएं, तभी कोरोना संक्रमण से बचाव संभव है। सभी के लिए मास्क जरूरी है और एक-दूसरे के बीच दो गज की दूरी बनाए रखनी होगी।
उन्होंने कहा कि कोरोना संक्रमण के फैलाव व इससे बचाव के लिए सावधानियों व उपायों के प्रति जागरूक होना जरूरी है। उन्होंने कहा कि आमजन को कोरोना संक्रमण के फैलाव व इसके प्रभाव की गंभीरता को समझना चाहिए। यदि व्यक्ति कोरोना से बचाव के लिए सावधानी व उपाय बरतता है तो वह न केवल स्वयं सुरक्षित होगा बल्कि दूसरों को भी सुरक्षित रख सकेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि मॉस्क कोरोना से बचाव के लिए बेहतर उपायों में से एक है। आमजन मॉस्क को अपनी दिनचर्या का हिस्सा बना लें। उन्होंने कहा कि मॉस्क का प्रयोग भी सही प्रकार से करें। मॉस्क से मूंह व नाक को पूरी तरह से ढंके और एक-दूसरे के मॉस्क का प्रयोग न करें।

एसडीएम दिलबाग सिंह ने कहा कि दीपावली के अवसर पर अकसर नकली खोया व अन्य सामग्री की मिलावट से बनी मिठाई की बिक्री की संभावना रहती है। शहरी या ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में कोई भी दुकानदार यदि नकली मिठाई या नकली खोया से बनी मिठाई बेचता पाया जाता है, तो संबंधित दुकानदार के खिलाफ नियमानुसार कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
एसडीएम ने दीपावली के अवसर पर दुकानों पर नकली मिठाइयों की बिक्री की संभावना पर इसकी गहनता से जांच व इसकी रोकथाम को लेकर ऐलनाबाद व रानियां के लिए कमेटियों का गठन किया है। ऐलनाबाद के लिए तहसीलदार जितेंद्र कुमार, वरिष्ठ चिकित्सा अधिकारी हरप्रीत कौर, थारा प्रभारी राधेश्याम व खाद्य एवं आपूर्ति निरीक्षक अशोक कुमार तथा रानियां के लिए नायब तहसीलदार रानियां हरीश चंद्र, वरिष्ठ चिकित्सा अधिकारी नरेश सहाराण, थाना प्रभारी राजा राम व खाद्य एवं आपूर्ति निरीक्षक संदीप कुमार को कमेटी में शामिल किया गया है।
उन्होंने सभी अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि ऐलनाबाद व रानियां के शहरी व ग्रामीण क्षेत्र की मिठाईयों की दुकानों पर जाकर मिठाईयों की गहनता से जांच की जाए। यदि कहीं पर भी नकली खोया से बनी मिठाई या नकली मिठाई की बिक्री होती पाई जाती है, तो संबंधित के खिलाफ तुरंत कार्रवाई करें।
एसडीएम ने बताया कि नकली मिठाइयों की बिक्री के साथ-साथ मिठाई के साथ डिब्बे का तोल करना भी कानून रूप से गलत है। इसलिए अधिकारी मिठाईयों गुणवत्ता जांच के साथ यह भी सुनिश्चित करें कि कहीं दुकानदार मिठाई के साथ डिब्बे का भी तोल तो नहीं कर रहा है। यदि कोई ऐसा करता है तो उसके खिलाफ नियमानुसार कानूनी कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जाए। उन्होंने दुकानदारों से अपील करते हुए कहा कि त्यौहार पर वे ग्राहकों को शुद्ध मिठाई की ही बिक्री करें।

Chandigarh, November 11:- A meeting of Environment & City beautification committee, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh held here today under the chairmanship of Sh. Hardeep Singh and attended by other members of committee namely Sh. Rajesh Gupta, Sh. Davesh Moudgil, Smt. Asha Jaswal and concerned officers of MCC.
The committee members discussed and decided following important issues related to landscaping and beautification of city:
1. The committee decided that an agenda be brought up for recruiting gardeners and ward wise report of shortage of Malis be tabled in the next meeting.
2. The members asked the concerned engineers to put up agenda regarding improving the MC nurseries in the city and verities of different flowering plants and shrubs be included in the nurseries.
3. The committee asked the concerned officers to plant minimum five trees of state plant of Chandigarh “Plash” with name plate in each garden and green belt.
4. The members asked that TT water outlets be maintained properly in the gardens and installed at proper distance to improve the watering system.
5. The committee asked the officers for taking up the pruning of trees work on priority basis and lift the pruned horticulture waste immediate after pruning.
6. The members asked the concerned officers to maintain the neighbourhood parks at sector 20 properly and required plantation be done on the priority bases.

Manoj Kumar Parida, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh and Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary Home, UT Chandigarh at Punjab Raj Bhawan and Smt. Raj Bala Malik, Mayor, Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, MC, Chandigarh, Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma, Senior Deputy Mayor, Sh. Jagtar Singh, Deputy Mayor, Sh. Davesh Moudgil, former Mayor & area Councillor, other councilors, senior officers of Administration & MCC and Indian Oil officials.
This new retail outlet commissioned today in Industrial area shall be operated by Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh and will help in better serving the customers of the tri-city by reducing their traveling time for fuel requirements.
Speaking on the occasion, the Administrator complimented Municipal Corporation Chandigarh for the expedition of NOCs for the best sites of the city and team of MCC officers for the exceptional efforts for commissioning of all the new retail outlets in a record time.
He added that Chandigarh city is one amongst major cities of country which can boast of per capita income which will surely give a boost to the sales of the new outlets in city. He emphasized on the need to ensure 100% Quality & Quantity and best of the service offerings for the customers visiting the outlet. He also advised Mayor, Chandigarh to work upon proper plan for utilization of the funds/revenue generated from these new outlets for the welfare of the MCC staff.
Sh. Manoj Parida, IAS, the Adviser to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh, in his address, also complimented efforts of MC for both the new outlets which he added will act as source of additional revenue for the Corporation. He added that Indian Oil should develop such Model outlets in Chandigarh city that give a unique experience to the visitors visiting city beautiful. He assured of all the best support and cooperation in future also from Administration side for such new initiatives. Also, he asked Indian Oil to add green fuels like CNG/EV charging etc. for the expanding the energy offerings for the customers for the future.
While speaking on the occasion, Smt. Raj Bala Malik, Mayor said that this new Retail outlet at Industrial Area which has been inaugurated today is at vantage point of entrance to Chandigarh while coming from Delhi and has a great sales potential. She also elaborated on the various new initiatives taken by the Municipal Corporation expressed her gratitude to the Governor under whose vision and leadership, the second strategic retail outlet in Chandigarh city was dedicated to the people of Tri-city today.
Sh. K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, MC said that this fully automated Retail Outlet has been designed with state-of-the-art facilities wherein customers shall receive e-receipts after the purchase of fuel. Provisions have also been made for providing green fuels like CNG/EV charging which shall be launched in due course of time. Indian Oil’s branded petrol XTRAPREMIUM with super cleansers also available at both of the MC’s fuel outlets.
Mr Sujoy Choudhury, Executive Director & State Head, Punjab State Office, earlier in his welcome address, thanked all the dignitaries who joined physically and though virtual mode. He expressed his gratitude towards the Municipal Corporation for providing full support in this endeavor.
